Located just a short drive from Charleston, it offers the best of both worlds — close to the city but tucked away in a peaceful, quiet location that feels like a true escape. The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together. What really made the stay exceptional were the hosts, Akeya and Bryan. They were incredibly welcoming and responsive, and they went above and beyond with local recommendations that helped us make the most of our trip. Whether you’re looking to explore Charleston or just relax in a tranquil setting, River Road Retreat is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

Jennifer was an excellent host. We had to come in a day early which was easily accommodated. We stayed 3 months since we have new twin grandbabies a couple streets down, so it was very convenient. The neighborhood is made up of families with lots of kids and dogs and people are very accommodating and sensitive to dog walkers. A very quiet neighborhood. Some hosts are continually bothering their tenants. Not the case here. You have a question or issue, just send a message.

The host was very warm and hospitable, waiting for us to arrive in the garage.They ask about our activities every day with great enthusiasm and give us very useful help.We went to the beach, and he suggested we take his beach chair. Isn't that too kind?
