The Matrieux cottage is well equipped and very comfortable, the games room is an undeniable plus with children, the hosts are very welcoming, available and friendly. The only downside will be that we hear a lot from the neighbors of the adjoining cottage.

Marcia is a wonderful host. Very friendly. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine and fresh eggs in the kitchen. The place is even more beautiful then the pictures show and there are multiple great sites to visit. We felt very welcome and will definitely return in the future.

Nice environment with a very considerate, welcoming and responsive host. Most activities and visits are 25-30 minutes from the location (Montignac-Lascaux, La Roche Gageac, etc.), the cottages are 10-12 minutes from Sarlat. Some activities or visits can be planned at about 1h20/30 (Padirac Chasm, Rocamadour). The environment is peaceful with the possibility of enjoying the pool (even in September!). For nature and calm lovers, it's ideal! Thanks Thierry for hosting us and maybe one of these days!

Magali and her husband are adorable and adaptable hosts. The house is as described, it's very cozy, a cocoon where you feel good. The place is peaceful, the most for children is the safe outside for children. The surroundings are very cute to visit, the BLACK PERIGORD is really beautiful, we fell in love.😊 Again, thank you for this beautiful and soothing parenthesis. We will undoubtedly be back.

We had a truly wonderful stay with Sandrine and Franck. The house is peaceful, full of charm, and ideally located for exploring the Dordogne. Everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully prepared. What made it truly special, though, were our hosts. Sandrine and Franck are incredibly kind, warm, and generous — they even offered to take care of our little dog Tilda so we could visit the Château des Milandes. That gesture, along with all their helpful tips and warm conversations, made us feel so welcome and at home. Very good welcome from Michel in the hut where we can have a refreshment or an aperitif (children's games available right next door) The accommodation met all our expectations (very pleasant jacuzzi after a day of visiting) Michel is available for all information, it is also very good in the kitchen (delicious Perigord meal in the hut) Thanks also to Fabienne for organizing the horseback ride. To be repeated without hesitation!

Emmanuelle was very communicative before we arrived and during our stay. The yard and view of the river were very nice and the stroll to the bi-weekly market and restaurants were very easy. Overall, Le Bugue is a great jumping off point for the French countryside of the Perigord, but many storefronts of the village appeared vacant.
