Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Tonosho, Shozu District

The stay at Khaki's place was fabulous. Khaki picked us up at the train station and took us through town and up the hill to the AirBnb that overlooked the town. It's such a beautiful peaceful setting not far from town. The kitchen was nicely stocked, bath was lovely. We got to visit his parents' sweet potato field, got delicious fresh greens and daikon from the garden and and learned about flowers with his mother. I highly recommend the pottery experience. Khaki is a great and patient instructor. Visit the gallery to see the exquisite pottery his family makes, that is reasonably priced. I bought a wall vase and spoons and can't wait to display them. Absolutely go to the Hutte Restaurant right on the premises. It was one of the best meals I had in Japan. The restaurant itself is beyond cute and interesting, with such unique decorations and atmosphere. We went to the Kojima Jeans area and wish we had also gotten to the temple in town. The tempura place Khaki recommended was amazing

On the last night of our trip in Takamatsu, we stayed in a rural area in a homestay run by a family.The memory is the room's full of decorations, exquisite gardens, Japanese fireworks, starry sky, ice cream in the room, snacks, various drinks and wine... and soft tatami (_ _). The accommodation is close to Takamatsu Station and is in a convenient location for getting to tourist attractions, and Aeon Mall is right in front of it. It was also very nice to shop. The room is just like the picture, so it's so pretty and well-organized~~ If I visit Takamatsu again, I'll book it again!! Thank you ~ ~

I recommend Yue to anybody. I felt like I was right at home, and it was fun to look for things like different rooms (a hidden reading nook!) and see what is in the fridge (free amenities in there btw). I especially love the attention to detail, like the japanese garden, bathroom amenities, and the bikes. Although it's in the middle of a suburb area, having bicycles available a child seat for my 3-year old made it easy to get around the city. Her local recommendations and willingness to reserve them for us made things so easy, like papermaking and visiting her local go-to bathhouse. If we ever come back, we'd love to stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Yumiko's. The apartment was very clean, well-equipped and quiet. The apartment is very well located, close to transport and many restaurants. I highly recommend Yumiko as a host.

Great place to stay. We travelled by car and the location is convenient for us travelling to the attractions nearby. The house itself is a piece of history itself , very spacious and you feel travelling back in time. Host is super friendly and explains everything in detail how to use the facility. Highly recommend if you are after a special place to stay :)

This was my first time in Shodoshima, and it was great to stay at this hotel. It was a very spacious hotel, and the interior was a very nice space. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can relax with friends or on a 3-generation family trip. Angel Road looked beautiful from the hotel, and the location was very good, with a supermarket, hot spring, and restaurants within walking distance. I ate out this time, but there were cooking utensils and dishes available, so I would like to cook my own meals the next time I use it. The second floor had a telework environment, so I wanted to stay longer. Also, it has become a hotel I definitely want to stay at when I come to Shodoshima.Thank you very much.

The owner is very enthusiastic about checking in and out, and the location of small snacks and green tea is also very good, and the airport bus is a few minutes away and you will choose here again next time!

I used it for a 2-night, 3-day stay. The host responded very quickly and was very polite and flexible in answering questions and consultations about the accommodation.Thank you again for everything. The interior is very clean and tidy, and amenities such as beds, sofas, kitchen areas, towels, etc. are in good condition. The hair dryer was made by SHARP and had a strong airflow, making it easy to dry.I was very grateful that these accommodations often have a weak wind dryer. There are also plenty of towels. Also, the bathroom was kept very clean, so I was able to bathe with peace of mind. The balcony is spacious and there is a clothesline, so it is easy to dry laundry when staying for consecutive nights I think so.Although I didn't use it this time, there was an indoor drying stand next to the washing machine that I could dry towels in the room. There were also plenty of other amenities and services, and I had a very comfortable and relaxing time. Also, if you stay at this accommodation, as mentioned in the house rules, there is a self-service udon shop nearby where you can eat cheap and delicious udon, so I recommend it. Very pleasant 2-week stay! Responsive host, supermarkets nearby (5 min walk) and accommodation close to the train station (13 min walk from Shin-Kurashiki station). Small bonus on the reliability of the description and photos of the apartment. All the necessary appliances are available (mini oven, washing machine, microwave, kettle, fridge, electric hob) and we are provided with a large part of the cleaning products (washing-up liquid, shower gel, shampoo, laundry,...) and hygiene (towels, toilet paper, toothbrush,...). Finally, the apartment is very clean and large enough for 2 people.

The room is on the 4th floor, very spacious and beautiful, not far from the commercial street, the host also lent me a bicycle for free, a great experience!The 1st floor is a barbershop, you can ask the host to help you get a haircut!

Very complete house with all amenities. More than typical places provide, like first aid, cleanser, scissors, etc. Even added a heater for kitchen because aircon cannot reach.Very considerate. only downside is the drain for shower is a bit choke and slow.

a mini appartment close walk to ferry and train station. it has everything needed for a short stay, even mashine machince. only thing to consider, if you are 2 people with big luggages, you might run into a bit of a space problem.
