Finbar and Eva are very friendly and helpful. They are ready to help you at short notice should you need it. The location is great with shops, restaurants and bars near by. Finally 2 bus routes to choose from should you need to get anywhere in town. Best place in town I would say!

Very walkable location just outside the city center. David was an amazing host, with wonderful recommendations for Cork and great conversation. Lovely room to stay in.

Private room with En-suite - No Kitchen

Jayne was an outstanding host. She informed us in detail before arrival about the local gastronomy and what to do nearby. On the day of arrival, she asked if we agreed that her pets (two dogs and a chain) would greet us and everyone was totally curious and friendly - we were immediately part of the family. The room is at the top of the house and you have to climb a few stairs, but the view is great. In the room there is everything you need for the stay (no kitchen, but a fridge and tea / coffee). We felt very comfortable with Jayne.

We wanted to stay a bit outside of the downtown area as we have a car. There was ample on street parking. The Lidl was only a few blocks away. There is a lake just about 1 km up the hill which is great for a walk or run. Beware of the geese. They are a bit feisty. You can easily walk into the "tourist zone". The kitchen is well equipped. As it is an older house there are a few quirks. Pearse walks you through them. On other reviews the height of the shower was noted. That is true. The shower ceiling slants. As I am the average size of a 12 yo (maybe 10), this was not an issue for me. My husband said he sat down and it was not a big deal. The bed was very comfortable. The dishwasher and washing machine worked fine. Nearly everything can be recycled in the bins out front which we appreciate.
