Staying here was an absolutely peaceful and relaxing experience. From the minute we arrived we felt more than at home, it was perfectly clean and felt very cozy. The extra touches of complimentary cinnamon swirl bread, popcorn and much more made for a very relaxing experience. It was great to spend some much needed time away hiking in some of the local parks. What a great place to stay for a weekend getaway or for a week. Cozy, clean, energy efficient, and everything you need to cook a nice email and settle in after a day of hiking. Very close to the art scene in Thomas and great hikes in Dolly Sods Wilderness area.

Great place. Everything you need in a killer location. Kimberly was great. We had a few questions and she got right back to us with the info we needed.

We had a great stay, our 1st time in Davis but it won't be our last and would definitely book this property again! The location was a perfect home base for the sites and activities we had lined up. It was nice to have dining options right there and we especially loved the convenience of hopping on the bike and being on trails within minutes. The fire pit area was nice, always love to see and hear the water. We appreciated Allison's responsiveness to our requests during the stay. Davis, WV is a true gem!

My family came to town for the Moonlight on the Falls half marathon in Blackwater Falls State Park. Mary’s place was the perfect homebase for us. Located right on Main Street we were able to walk to dinner as well as shows at the Purple Fiddle. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the mornings and relaxing on the large back porch in the evenings. The home has a large kitchen and living room. Mary went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. I highly recommend this home. We will definitely book again.

From the moment we walked into the house, we were in love. The house is set in a private, wooded cul-de-sac and easy to find with the directions provided. The inside is open and spacious but still somehow cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed and all of the best quality. The town of Davis is a short drive away with some delicious little places to check out for meals. We also stopped by Blackwater Falls State Park, just a few minutes past the downtown area. Would definitely recommend this gem if you are planning a stay in the area!

We really loved our stay in this beautiful house with the natural surroundings. It was really nice to have lots of windows and doors to enjoy the natural lighting and the breeze through the trees. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms were nicely done and had good counter space and storage for our stay. I loved having the closet and dresser in the primary bedroom, which allowed me to put away my clothes. The furniture and lighting was tasteful and added to our stay. The fireplace and sauna were nice accessories. The EV charger was wonderful for us to have and really made our stay much more convenient. We would 1000% stay here again!

The home has lots of character and charming details. We enjoyed our time and loved cooking together. The living space is open, inviting, and relaxing. It was a great family atmosphere. The tree swing and fire pit were fun. The shower being on the first floor separate from the bedrooms upstairs was unexpected but didn't cause any problems for our group. Also, whoever sleeps in the tree house room should know they'll need to descend a ladder to use the bathroom. This house is super great and the mountains surrounding are breathtaking. We would definately stay again.

Excellent accommodations. We were 5 adults, 2 toddlers, an infant and two dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed the spacious first floor for their magna-tile and lego projects and the adults were happy at the large dining table. The outdoors were quiet, spacious and plenty of opportunities for the kids to run around. We used this location as a central point for the high peaks hike in MD and WV, an excellent location. Also visited Blackwater Falls and Seneca Rocks - amazing natural wonders. Would definitely rent again if in the area.

Before arriving Josh gave clear instructions on entering and when we got there the house was just perfect. Nice bathroom on the first floor and the living room is nice that goes opens up to the nice deck. The beds are very comfortable and clean. This place is very close to Canaan valley resort and black water falls park. We were there for a wedding in the area. But we could have been able to do so much because it’s all very close. Thank you Josh for making this a very nice experience.

The Rail Hus met our needs perfectly! The house is really coming together. It’s the best respite if you’re in town for a train ride! Looking forward to a return visit!

This was a wonderful place for a couples weekend getaway! The house was very clean and very nice. The coffee bar and hot tub were great. Carol especially was amazing with her communication. During our stay, there was a blizzard warning, which lead to a brief power outage. Carol made sure to reach out to us about everything first and was extremely responsive and helpful. She made sure we were taken care of and even had a guy come out to clear the driveway of any snow. Overall, wonderful place with a wonderful place. We may stay here again in the future!

We had a lovely stay — the house was clean, spacious, and well-located. Everything worked as expected, and communication was smooth throughout. I’m giving this place a full 5 stars because we enjoyed our time and had no major issues. That said, a couple of small things to note for future guests: The house rules at checkout felt a bit much — we were asked to strip the beds and move linens to the dryer, take the trash to the end of the driveway, clean the sink, and run the dishwasher. It wasn’t unmanageable, but for a short stay it did feel like a fairly long list of chores. The listing includes a kids' room with a bunk and a full-size bed, which is great and counted toward the sleeping capacity — but this room is accessed through the master bedroom. Not a problem for our group of four, but it might matter for larger groups or those needing more privacy. A bit more clarity in the listing would help. Overall, still a great stay and would happily book again!

This place was perfect for a quick getaway with my boyfriend. Self Check-In was very convenient and the place looked just like the pictures. It was very clean and nicer than a hotel, but not too much house for just the 2 of us. Everything from the bathroom, to the kitchen, to the bedroom was organized and home-y. Things like towels, sheets, blankets, hand soap, and utensils/dishes were provided and clean as well. The only thing I would warn about is the amount of lady bugs I saw inside the house. There is a large window in the bedroom with a beautiful view and a nice black-out shade, but I fear it seems to be an entrance for lady bugs. However, I did not see any other bugs in the home during my 4 night stay and would not call this place dirty at all. I would recommended this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay, close enough to visit state parks like Blackwater Falls or the small local towns nearby which had restaurants, a grocery store, and pubs!

The condo was very easy to find. Check in process was simple. The unit felt more private because it was on the end and we saw deer out of our windows in the morning. It was close to the town of Davis and to many lovely hikes. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows, blankets, and towels. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would stay again if I was in the area.

Wonderful time visiting the Davis area and staying in this condo. Everything was provided to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our host was easy to communicate with and available when needed. Hope to visit again soon.

Great base for hiking. The apartment set up was perfect for two couples. We really appreciated all the supplies, such as spices and bathroom accessories.
