Loukas' place was a treat to experience. It is a real home, used by the family, and therefore has character and an identity. The aesthetic choices of the interior design, the materials, and the landscaping are well-considered and create a beautiful whole. The setting, high up on the hill with a view so lovely of the sea and sunset, is almost a cliche of the reasons people visit Greece. And yet, we had complete privacy. Ms Giota, Loukas' mother and our contact, was gracious and efficient in dealing with our arrival and departure. A car is definitely a necessity; the nearest grocery story is almost 10 minutes away. But driving on the main road, especially in the evening, is visually stunning and leads to some nice eating places. Thank you for your hospitality.

House near the beach outside athens

The house is located 800m from Thimari beach. It is surrounded by trees and is really peaceful. A great place for family vacation. Or for some quiet relaxing time near Athens.We spent a month here and we will definitely come back. The house has everything you may need for both long and short stays. Palaia Fokea and Anavissos are 5mins away where you can find lots of restaurants and super markets, open theaters, playgrounds etc. It is near the best beaches of Attica and 10mins away from the temple of Poseidon in Sounio. Jannis and his parents are amazing hosts. They are responsive and very proactive. We had an issue with a mal functioning air-conditioning unit and they came asap and replaced it. I couldn't recommend it more.

We could not have loved this villa more! After a busy 2 weeks in Italy, we were looking for a place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Athens coast. The owner met us at the villa and to our surprise presented us with a fully stocked refrigerator and pantry which was much appreciated. Vas was very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed the restaurants and shopping in the nearby village of Palea Fokea. We took advantage of the outdoor kitchen and grilled fresh fish that we got from a nearby market. Taxi and tour operator had no issue finding the property. We stayed a week and spent more on this airbnb than we usually do but it was worth every penny when we got to experience the amazing sunset views from this villa.
