Neil is awesome. Highly recommend staying with him. The location is spot on as well. I stayed for a month to check out the neighborhood and loved it. Spent time in Central Park everyday, it’s only one block away. If you’re looking to move to New York Neil can give you some great tips as well. I enjoyed my stay at Daniel's place and appreciated the excellent communication with him. Daniel responded promptly and was very flexible regarding check-in. There was a minor issue in the apartment, and it was addressed almost immediately! The apartment is perfectly located in the Upper West Side, just a short walk from Central Park. The street is quiet and safe, even at night, yet there are plenty of restaurants, bars, museums, grocery shops, and coffee places within walking distance. The space is cozy—small, but it offers ample storage. The super high ceilings and beautiful fireplace add to its charm, and the kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need. I hope to stay at Daniel's place again for my next work-cation in New York!

Angela’s place was fantastic! 10/10 the absolute best host. Extremely communicative, helpful, and makes sure all questions are answered. One of the best Airbnb stays I have had -location is perfect, apartment is cute and well decorated. Would highly recommend!!

I had a wonderful time. I was in New York City for about 6 weeks over a 2.5 month period and rented the room for the entire time. The building was a spectacular 150 year old Brownstone in a wonderful neighborhood in the mid-/upper-east side. It was a relatively quite neighborhood and was easy to get around the entire city. The Rear Library room had great ambiance, was clean, and was a perfect place for this relatively short term stay. Lia, the owner was accommodating and very helpful when I planned the trip and during my stay. If I every have a similar need for a rental in New York City, I will stay at 1871 House again.
