The property is absolutely stunning, only topped by the amazing views! The home is beautifully nestled into the rock and natural surroundings. Consequently, the views from the hot tub and the sauna are breathtaking. During our stay, we had excellent sunny weather and enjoyed daily. Hikes: either directly from the home or within a 30 minute car drive. The house itself is well laid out and the kitchen has everything you need for six people. It never felt crowded, except occasionally the two lounge chairs from which you could view the valley, as we sometimes fought over who gets to sit in them… 😊 There is a small grocery store just down the mountain within a 15 minute drive. It is well stocked but a bit expensive. For us this was a perfect vacation as we just wanted to enjoy nature and relax. Beyond that, there really isn’t much to do as there are neither museums nor cultural points of interest. During the winter time, this obviously is a prime skiing location.

Great cabin, great host!

Excellent house near the ski slope at the bottom of the mountain. That also means that during the day the sun does not shine on the terraces. The house is well decorated, feels comfortable when it has warmed up (it was -23C) and was spacious enough for the six people we were with. Two cars fit well with the house. The road was kept neatly snow-free. There were no appliances broken, everything was tidy and we would book it again. Great place, good host, nothing to complain about.

This is truly a great cabin with everything you could dream of! Definitely proper people who own this castle of a cabin, because here there were clever and great details everywhere, and very modern. There were 6 of us on a trip, and all the young people and adults and the 6 year old found their zones where they relaxed, enjoyed their holiday and were able to settle! We checked out the sauna by a small pond one of the days and it was really cozy. Only 10 minutes walk from the cabin. Otherwise, we had lots of Easter activities and cooked delicious food. The sun was also on our side, so we were outside grilled on the fire pit. Here we would love to come back! Thank you very much for us🤗

Nice cabin and efficient communication ahead of time and along the way.

We stayed with two families, 4 adults and 4 children, in this beautiful house. We felt very comfortable. The house was handed over to us very clean and the amenities were also top. There are enough plates, pans, etc. We stayed at the house over New Year's Eve and got both very cold days and some snow. The house is very well prepared for this. Despite the hillside location, the path to the house is also easily accessible in snow, as it is cleared by a snow blower several times a day. The sauna and hot tub are real highlights even in winter. We explored the surroundings for walking and sledding. We had a really great few days and would be happy to come back to this beautiful house.

It was our second holiday in Rauland and we felt very comfortable in Richard and Monica's house again. We were lucky with the weather. Every day we could enjoy the view of the fascinating mountains from the large terrace. The house is very cosy and the perfect place to relax after a ski tour. Richard and Monica are wonderful hosts and always very helpful. The central location of the house is ideal for winter sports and excursions in the surrounding area. We made it to the highest mountain Gaustatoppen this time and it was a great experience. Rauland is always worth a visit and we would love to come back.

Great stay at Rauland, a little bit colder than the rest of south Norway, but central towards many interesting spots around. Good communicating and friendly host.

Had a wonderful stay in natural and quiet surroundings. In addition, we were very well taken care of by Anne and her mother after a small family accident, who deserve some extra attention.😇 We would gladly came back!

Rented the same cabin again this year, and as last time, everything was in order. Tidy and nice cabin with everything you need. Short way to the alpine slope is a big plus. Feel free to come back a third gong😃

The cottage is a gem with stunning views of mountains and the low-lying city. Beds and duvets are perfect - usually missing my bed - this time I would take it home. There was plenty of starter equipment in the cabin for the bathroom and kitchen. Spacious fridge and large freezer with 3 drawers for brought food. Cozy rooms and living room. Plastic cutlery and plates for children. Games and toys for kids and adults. Located 3 min drive down to Skimore center - drove down due to slippery roads - but possible to jump on at the plate lift if you want to walk with equipment. Cheap ski passes and nice terrain. José was so attentive and accommodating - got an early check-in at no charge. So it was convenient with ferry arrival. We had an amazing weekend in the woods. This cabin is the best way to spend a few days away from all distractions. the scenery was stunning, the drive through the forest was a moderate challenge due to the snow, but the summit and the view from the mountain was worth every tiredness. we also had 2 amazing mountain leaders Caspar and Zen that took us from Oslo to..... and lead us also ti the summit. Caspar loves the nature and he knows every cm of the area , so even if you dont have transportation you can arrange with a aome extra charge to take you from Oslo to the point or only to lead you to the summit,so can live this surealisticly journey that will leave you with the most wholesome feelings.

The cabin is very nice and cozy. It's new and it has everything you need, especially the kitchen. Torun is very friendly and responsive. She gave us clear instructions, and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

We had a great week at Alexander's cabin. It is very cozily furnished and very nicely bright with large windows and the fireplace. The layout of the cabin is great because there is also a small extra living room where you can retreat upstairs. Having 2 bathrooms and a sauna was very nice. The kitchen and the large dining table were great for cooking and for our game evenings. There were also a lot of games on site. We were able to walk the dogs well from the cottage because there are very few cars up there and with the new snow also make ski-in ski-out right from the cottage. 😊 Alexander was always available and helped us very quickly with every question. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back! Thank you!!
