Barn accommodation in Taunton Deane

This was our 4th time staying at Grace barn. Rosie, Ian and Barney are very welcoming and the barn is just perfect for us. Everything that you need is provided, and we particularly enjoy the lovely wood burner and Childrens outside area. Thanks again and see you soon!

A great place to stay to explore beautiful Exmoor. The second time we have stayed there its clean, cosy and comfortable with fabulous views of the coast and access to great walks.

Absolutely love this gem of a place. Stayed in the Garden room last time, now upstairs both charming and cosy. Such a lovely spot and hopefully will visit again soon! Thank you Mike and Kate for making us feel so welcome too :)

Communication for excellent, as was the home made cake waiting for us! Lovely country location. Property was very clean and tidy, with plenty of towels, for the bathrooms and hot tub. Plenty of info provided on local pubs, restaurants and things to do. Guided ghost walk in Bath was great fun!

We really enjoyed our stay and loved how peaceful it was. The welcome gifts from Joy were great, and she provided us with vegan goodies which was much appreciated. Lots of helpful info provided (like using the hot tub etc) which helped ease us in and feel at home!

We had the most wonderful time staying at the secluded barn for a few nights - we didn't want to leave! The views were amazing with wonderful local walks in nature. Hosts were super attentive and helpful with advice on what to do and where to go. The barn itself was just perfect - great shower, comfy bed, nice little kitchen with a gas stove and a fire pit outside where we cooked sausages under the stars. Left feeling refreshed and happy.

A lovely home away from home with beautiful views of gentle rolling hills. We saw deer and a fox which was a bonus for us. The unit had everything we required to cook our evening meals (local pub has limited opening hours & wasn’t open during our stay), the bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. Excellent accommodation and location, we had a very pleasant stay. Hosts were very friendly and approachable, Chestnut Barn was very well layout, charming and homely. The bottle of wine, Bath Soft Cheese, and the breakfast Crossants were lovely and greatly appreciated. We visited Bath, Bristol and went to the Bath soft cheese farm for lunch. All very enjoyable, and well worth seeing, met up with family at local pub, and had an excellent stay. We look forward to visiting again. Many thanks Colin and Julie xx

We had a lovely stay at Susan's place. The property was beautifully furnished and had a very calming aura. Directions to the property were clear and the village itself is really lovely and peaceful. The view from the bathroom in the morning was stunning! The place was really clean - even though this is a dog friendly property (and we didn't bring any) Susan clearly took care to ensure the place was spotless and free from hair. We'd definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful stay here on the farm, couldn't have asked for more! Trish was a fantastic, responsive and friendly host with lots of useful information about local points of interest! The old stables was so cozy, spotless and comfortable with everything we needed for a great weekend! It was so lovely to see, meet and feed the alpacas and goats on the farm. We had fresh eggs and milk provided as well as some treats and a beautiful welcome card! Would definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting the area and looking for a peaceful and unique stay!

Really lovely and beautiful done place. Full or interesting things felt very much at home. The garden was so beautifully landscaped was a joy in and out. Very peaceful and we had some gorgeous sunsets!! Will definitely come again as soon as we can.

What an amazing stay! It was everything we were hoping for and more. The cottage had everything we needed and also some nice personal touches too. It was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub, listening and watching the birds . The weather was a little unsettled for us but not a problem, as we could sit in the summer house, and look out at the lovely view and our neighbours the sheep! Claire was very responsive with messaging and will look forward to visiting again soon. 🙂

Catherine was so accommodating a friendly, helping with parking and check in, easy instructions. A beautiful property with all the amenities you could ask for, a perfect stay for a couple and a dog. The garden is beautiful with a sun trap decking with stunning views for miles, a fantastic place to stay, all attractions on cheddar are walkable to no need to take the car out!

We had a very nice time and the opportunity to switch off from everyday life. The location is very quiet. The accommodation has been very comfortably furnished by Gail and offers plenty of space if the weather is bad. The NP Dartmoor and Exmoor are accessible, but you should avoid side roads (singletrack!), as you may have to drive back in oncoming traffic. There are also some walking paths around the village. The two black dogs are very cuddly, connection is guaranteed! All in all, perfect for a break!

There are not enough words to do this property and Ava justice . It is truly stunning from its location to the laundered bedsheets , super equipped kitchen and so much more . We were made to feel so welcome . Ava and Chris really do go above and beyond . Our son Archie loved it and was encouraged by Ava to explore and see the cows . He really didn’t want to leave . Honestly we all wanted to stay . If you stay here , you will not be disappointed. We are looking for an excuse to come back

We had a wonderful time here. Lovely hosts, quality furnishings, appliances and linens. Welcome pack really appreciated (esp. the fizz). Quiet and peaceful surroundings, yet only 3 mins by car to Broadoak for shopping, another 5 to the beach/harbour at West Bay. Walks from the accommodation if that's your thing, loved it when Roger (the dog) visited morning and evening. Loved it, should have booked longer. Thank you for letting us stay here.

We had a fab time at the Cider House. Eddy was very easy to communicate with. The house was lovely and carefully designed with everything one could need. The house location was perfect, peaceful and secluded.

Really lovely place and lovley scenery Nicely decorated and maintained Lots larger than we expected! You can really see the host really put efforts in maintaining the house rather than just do the bare minimum to rake in money

Boooooming ! Plenty of amenities hot tub was class and the barn was next level ! 👌 a bit tight of a few things but absolutely can’t fault it at all ! Peaceful surroundings and booming weather which was a massive plus ! All around great highly recommend ! Diolch an Fawr 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The perfect spot for a much-needed peaceful getaway. The accommodation was beautiful, with lovely extra touches like locally made soap, homemade jam and not only a coffee machine but also a milk frother! The bed was wonderfully comfortable and waking up to the sound of cuckoos was bliss. Michael was incredibly friendly, kind and helpful but also left us to our own devices so we felt very secluded and private. We loved walking, cycling and swimming in the river nearby as well as getting out to explore the local towns, having been recommended some great places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We would LOVE to come back! Pin & Ben :o)

What an absolute gem. Tucked away down a quiet country lane and within easy walking distance of a beach this place was an absolute delight to stay in. Check in was a breeze and we found the property to be clean and well equipped, matching its online description perfectly. The property had a lovely garden with seating and was only a ten minute walk from Sidmouth donkey sanctuary. The property came with a useful information book with recommendations for places to eat which we used. A number of other well known south Devon coastal towns were only a short drive away and the property was only 30 minutes drive from Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast.
