Holiday rentals with a patio in Tangiwai

Ken was quick to reply to initial request to book and very prompt to respond to communication during our stay. Lovely accommodation in peaceful neighbourhood with access to everything you might need & great riverside walking, we’d have booked for longer if we’d known!

This was truly a beautiful location and a perfect place to stay. The house is very new and is fitted out with all the modern conveniences that made our stay a delight, with comfortable beds, plenty of lounge seating and everything you need to make you comfortable. We enjoyed the double sided fireplace and especially loved a quick dip in the hot tub, which was kept in immaculate condition. There was also an amazing restaurant in town that we thoroughly enjoyed called Cypress Tree and would highly recommend guests visit as part of their stay. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had a great time at this lovely secluded home. The living area was really spacious and the kitchen was amazing and well equipped for cooking and serving a diverse range of meals - an entertainers delight. We will certainly look to rebooking in the future. Dawn even found a little bunny that one of the girls left behind and kindly got it safely home.

Was the perfect location for us to explore the area, including the forgotten highway. We were impressed how good the heating options were, x2 efficient heat pumps and great log burner, with heat transfer into the bedrooms, plenty of wood available. It was easy to feel at home as lots of personal touches throughout. We were a multi-generational family of 6 but could imagine x2 families would work well with the space. We self catered and kitchen was well set up to do this.

Exceeded our expectations - well-equipped, warm, beautiful, lots of room yet so cosy - perfect holiday home for our family getaway. The stunning view we got to wake up to was definitely the cherry on top. Bev is also super responsive and helpful. Will definitely be back!

A very handy location to stay overnight if you are planning to climb the Tongariro alpine cross! Shelley is super sweet giving crystal clear instructions pre-check-in. The place accommodation itself just feels like home. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely one night stay at Annie’s. Great new appliances and fantastic hot shower. The living space was very relaxing after our walk to Tama lakes. Creaking from Lockwood didn’t bother me but kids did say they woke a few times. Overall very comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay with Anna. The home looked just like the pictures. It had great kitchen facilities and plenty of room for the number of people that were staying (x6). Unfortunately the weather wasn't great (it rained for the 3 days we were there) so extra care is needed if using the ramp leading to the front door as the rain made it very slippery. Apart from that I'd highly recommend Anna's place for a large group (such as my team) or a large(ish) family looking for somewhere to stay. Anna was very welcoming, checked in with us during out stay and accommodated my request for an early check in to allow for visitors that were arriving before 2 pm. A great place to stay if visiting Whanganui. Thank you for the lovely stay Anna.
