We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

We had a nice time. The garden is huge and the house was clean and we had a lot of space as a family. You can explore the surroundings on foot. Restaurants, supermarkets and the beach can be explored on foot. A great neighborhood and most importantly a very calm one. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. The family even made us breakfast in the morning, which was incredibly delicious. We are very sad to have to go and keep the house in beautiful memory . See you soon , Anna and Tim

What a great place to stay! The villa has many rare amenities, kitchen, washing machine, iron, sink, hair dryer, laundry dryer. Two desks is something no one has in this area! Most hosts assume only one desk, but we are a couple working remotely, so we needed two. The ergonomic chairs are a huge advantage, we've never had such good chairs when working away from home, we felt like we were in our home office with them. We moved the desks to one of the bedrooms and it was a breakthrough, one bedroom for us and the other bedroom as an office, both with air conditioning. The place was very clean. The scooter included is a huge added value, we used it a lot and can't imagine life without a scooter. Pinidu and his mom are wonderful! They have helped us so many times and have always been very kind, responsive, supportive. They are amazing people and we will miss them. Pinidu also treated us to a variety of fruits and regional foods, told us a lot about Sri Lanka, showed us temples.Recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb hosted by Ruwan, and it was a delightful experience. Ruwan was an extremely warm and welcoming host, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to both the beach and Coconut Tree Hill. The lush green property felt almost like staying in a forest, offering a serene environment. The breakfast provided was very good, with a variety of delicious options. The room was a bit small, but it didn't affect our comfort during the stay. Additionally, Ruwan offers to help plan activities in and around Mirissa, which could add a lot of value to your trip. Despite the minor detail about the room size, the stay had its positive aspects, particularly Ruwan's hospitality, the excellent breakfast, and the beautiful surroundings. This Airbnb is a great choice for travelers looking for a welcoming host and a beautiful location.

We spent a whole month in this house and were delighted! Spacious, cozy, with a lovely chill area by the river where you can relax and enjoy nature. I especially liked the rooftop – the perfect place to do yoga. The kitchen is fully equipped, so it was convenient to cook. The beds in the bedrooms are comfortable, slept great. The beach is only a 5-7 minute walk and the surf spot in Weligama is about 25 minutes away. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are grateful to the hosts for their hospitality!

Thank you so much for your hospitality! The place was really cozy and nice, we loved the balcony surrounded by blooming trees. The hosts were incredible - friendly, responsive. For example, we wanted ab extra key and a fan for the balcony - all of our requests were completely satisfied. It was always clean and neat - cleaning every week with a change of bed linen. The place is close to the main beaches, bus stop and everything you light need. Yard is blooming and big enough for parking 4-5 bikes

Awesome place to stay, relax and spend time with the groups. Has full kitchen with all the necessary vessels, cutlery, utensils. The House id equipped with all the necessary stuff right from board games to smallest knifes and felt like home.

Stella Beach House was the perfect getaway for my family and me. The location is absolutely stunning, with an array of excellent restaurants nearby. The house itself was impeccably clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing pool. From the very beginning to the end of our stay, Amit, Chaminda, and their team were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. They prepared delicious meals for us almost every day, which truly enhanced our experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Stella Beach Villas to anyone planning a vacation in Sri Lanka. It's a wonderful destination for everyone looking to relax and enjoy a beautiful getaway.

The villa itself is great, 4 spacious bedrooms, more well-maintained grounds, a pool that is taken care of every morning. The house was cleaned every other day, with a change of towels. The kitchen has everything you need, dishes, a fire pans, upon arrival there was egg milk salt oil. Washing machine is also available. Among the disadvantages: we were from the middle to the end of April 2025, the non-season began there were very strong waves and our beach did not meet our expectations at all, immediately after the steps there was no sand, as we saw in the photo, but the huge blocks of rocks under which the ocean is raging, that is, to go down these stones in the right vilas 6. We were with 3 kids and it was very problematic for us. After talking to the staff, they explained to us that at this time it is always so, there is a low tide and the sand goes away, then returns. The conclusion of the villa is great but it is recommended to visit in season Separately, I want to note the driver(he also washed the pool in the morning) drove us everywhere, was very patient.

Super cute place, perfect location. Little thoughtful decorations everywhere, the pool is so clean. We’ve stayed for two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. The staff are all really helpful, very protective of their guests and helped organize some activities for us, very good communication throughout. Hope to be back soon.

Such a beautiful place with peaceful waterfront location, we stayed with a big group of 29 adults and south point villa and south point ocean was able to accommodate all of us very comfortably. We had a great time swimming in the pools and the ocean, taking sunset walks on the beach. The staff are lovely and work tirelessly to meet our needs, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to returning next year.

Great villa & amazing staff. The chef and the workers were amazing and super helpful. The place was clean and well cared after. The villa has four master bedroom, two are connected while the other two are separated and far apart, important to note if traveling with kids.

The Mugatiya is a very special place. We stayed with family friends for a week and had the holiday of a lifetime. Ahangama is a chilled place with some very cool bars and restaurants here and there. I wouldn't say that the beach is walkable due to kids and the heat but tuktuks are easily arranged.

great stay, with the sweetest father as a neighbor. For example, he always comes with a light shining when you arrive/depart in the evening. Therefore, you can always ask questions, but he leaves you alone and it is completely private. We will definitely come back here!

Chathura is a great person to work with, he is very knowledgeable about the surroundings, very friendly and go out of the way to help me. I highly recommend anyone to stay at his place. I stayed 5 days at his place, I was very comfortable in taking local buses to visit surrounding areas beaches. Beautiful beaches in this part of the world. I enjoyed visiting every beaches that I could visit. In short I have a pleasant stay at his place.

It's a magical place to relax and unwind. You can go on an adventure in your own garden, we have been able to take several beautiful photos of the wildlife that is there. Every evening at dusk we saw the meat dogs wake up and fly over us. For lovers of the beauty of nature, you are in the good place here. The food is fantastic both breakfast and evening food. There are also 2 nice bikes to explore the area. Don't hesitate, book and enjoy!

As soon as we arrived, Chanuka received us with sincerity. Their welcome drinks were amazing. The house was as beautiful as the pictures. We were impressed by the sincerity of their entire family. And the check-out day was truly amazing. They organized breakfast and lunch for us. We had a wonderful few days. Those who want to visit Galle can rest assured in this house. Our stay at Villa Ema was fantastic. The villa is beautifully designed, spacious, and very easy to find. It offers complete privacy and a peaceful atmosphere, making it the perfect retreat. The villa is fully equipped with all modern amenities, including a well-stocked kitchen that made our stay even more comfortable. Mr. Asintha and his wife are incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Communication with them was effortless and clear throughout our stay. Each room is thoughtfully designed with air conditioning, attached bathrooms, and very comfortable beds. The quality of the fittings and the overall architecture of the villa is exceptional. Everything was immaculately clean and well maintained. We truly appreciated their hospitality and the effort they made to accommodate us. Our experience at Villa Ema was outstanding, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Galle area.

We spent 3 weeks at the Jungle Loft in May and it was absolutely perfect. Just a 5 minute walk from town, the location of the loft is so peaceful and private - nestled in the jungle but still so close to everything. The loft is very spacious, tidy, well designed and bright! The windows face the jungle, and waking up surrounded by greenery is incredible. The balcony was a great addition, the kitchen is well equipped, and there’s a washing machine!! I would highly recommend staying a little outside the main strip in Ahangama, away from the tourists and chaos of the main road. There are a number of fruit & veg shops along the street, Loka Lanka fitness is just up the road, and the backstreets are so beautiful to get lost in - either on a scooter or on foot. The locals are so friendly and some of the kindest people we’ve ever come across. Shamila was super friendly and understanding with some of our change in plans, and Kavindu helped with anything we needed day to day. 10/10 !!

We had a good time in Goldrn Heights Talpe. Bashitha and his Sister gave us a warm welcome and explained everything to us. They were very responsive and helpful. The beach close by is calm and perfect for swimming. We had two scooters and with those we could easily go shopping or visit Galle. As mentioned in the listing, the third room has no AC and is very small, sadly sleeping there wasn’t possible due to the heat. Also the house wasn’t as clean as expected from the pictures, some deep cleaning would do no harm:) Other than that we can recommend this place!

The house is amazing, the photos don't do it justice. It is far bigger than it looked in the pictures. The manager Manoji is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning and he also did us a dinner one night which was the nicest meal we'd eaten in Sri Lanka, and the cost was very reasonable. He was always on hand if we needed anything. There's also a night watchman that stays in the grounds every night. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach and the main road. The road to the house is quite narrow so be warned if you have a wide car!

We stayed 5 days at this beautiful Airbnb right by the beach. It was the host's childhood home, and honestly, I can't imagine growing up somewhere so stunning. It rained almost the entire time we were there because of the monsoon, but the house was so perfect to watch the rain. The rain would pour off the roof like a fountain, and the beach was two two-minute walk away. The property had sooooo many trees, mango, bananas, olive, coconut, bay leaves, you name it, they have it. The hosts were gracious and allowed us to freely pick mangoes every morning. Everything at the villa made us feel right at home. We loved the caretaker uncle. The property was a little far off from central Mirissa (15 Minutes by tuk-tuk), so the beaches were immaculate and quiet. Most of the time, we had the entire beach to ourselves. We could hear the sound of the beach at night from our rooms at night. Recommended if you are travelling with a big group and wish to stay for a while at Mirissa.
