We had a truly wonderful stay at Dena’s home. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The attention to detail and thoughtful gestures were remarkable. From the coffee and bedside waters to the abundance of toiletries, every aspect of our stay was well thought out. We were especially touched by the surprise Christmas gifts waiting under the tree, which added such a special and personal touch to our visit. The hospitality exceeded all expectations, and we highly recommend their home to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

The house was amazing with lots of room and a beautiful view of James River. We saw lots of wildlife like eagles, osprey, rabbits, lizards, deer etc. It is in a great location away from everything and a short drive to ride the ferry to Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. We wanted to enjoyed all of the historical places since all of my kids love history. One day was supposed to be rainy so we stayed in the Surry area and visited Bacon’s Castle and Smith’s Fort. Both are very interesting places to visit and I highly recommend them. It was my husband and me with our 5 grown up children all ranging in ages of 18 to 31. All of us wanted to visit all the historical spots and even did a Civil War Ghost tour that my youngest son really enjoyed. Everything was great. Coming back to the house was so relaxing either by the tv or making s’mores by the fire pit. The beds are comfy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This is a perfect getaway and I hope to stay here more in the future.

It was a lovely place - I would only say this: You will only have access to the lower level of this home. The second floor is a separate rental so you may be sharing the house with other people. There is no access to the second floor but you can hear everything that happens up there. You may want to clarify if other people are staying above you, if it’s something that you care about.

Very friendly, helpful, flexible and I got tips what to do. Very nice area to stay also for longer. Close to Triangle (Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown). A lot of forest around to enjoy walks and the nature. Very nice house in a quiet area, free water, WiFi, own bathroom. You can have talks if you want. I felt very well all the time. It feels like home. Highly recommended. It was the right choice to stay here.

Our family had a wonderful time at Jeffrey’s place. The home is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and had everything we needed (including lots of kids books and toys). My children loved the private beach (it’s amazing) and exploring the property. We found fun shells, and even a few shark teeth. We daytripped to Jamestown and Williamsburg (10 min to the ferry, 20 min to get across) and had a wonderful time at both places. My kids had a blast riding the ferry (getting out and watching from the upper deck is a must). Definitely plan to get groceries ahead of time - it’s pretty remote, in a good way. Lots of fun wild life to spot - bald eagles, turkey, deer, even a skunk! Fun was had by all, we would stay again.

Elli & Brent’s place on the James River was a beautiful spot for our family vacation. Our arrival was wonderful as our hosts had left us a cute note and treats to enjoy. The house had plenty of room for our group of 6, especially with the outdoor space/dock and the home theater, which might have been the kids favorite room. The property was conveniently just a quarter mile away from the ferry so Jamestown/Yorktown/Willliamsburg/Busch Gardens were easily accessible. Really an excellent place from which to visit the triangle and get some nice rest and relaxation in between. Thanks guys for such a lovely visit.

Beautiful home with a warm feeling as soon you walk in , things to do for the kids such as board games, utensils for drawing and a lot of creative history and antiques to look at throughout the home. Very beautiful and clean stay, made you feel like you’re right at home! Kelly was very responsive to my messages and is a great host was more than happy with my stay during the new years ! Our children decided they wanted to stay there forever. The pool and all the games were 100% percent worth it! It was our first visit to the area and it was amazing! They do want visitors to sign up for a presentation. But they give you things for attending. If you don’t want to attend you can say no. It’s a great family friendly but quiet and clean place to stay!

It was an amazing experience, I loved the accommodations. The set up was nice, they had the fire pit out. We had a peaceful stay. It was really convenient having all the fooderies near us. The rooms were very lavish I loved the tub most of all.

It was a great stay, Peter was even accommodating when i asked for an extra night. This place is a beautiful hide out. Clean and reasonable and it was convenient to other places in VA. Would definitely stay again.

This unit is perfect for a quiet little getaway. Perfect size for a couple who likes the peace and quiet and just needs some time alone. The staff at the registration office is polite and friendly. There were a lot of people using the pool. The fire pit near the office is a nice addition to the stay. The location is convenient to everything you need. This is a wonderful place to go to enjoy some one on one time with someone special. Elizabeth is always there for you if needed and reaches out to you to make sure your stay is above and beyond what you expect.

My husband and I visited Steff's AirBnB on our Honeymoon and were beyond pleased! She provided so much for her guests, including eggs and bacon for breakfast!! Her space was so clean and welcoming. It was the perfect, quiet spot for us. I found the bed to be a little too firm for my personal taste, but I still got a decent enough night sleep and I will absolutely be back if we come down to Williamsburg again. The backyard was so adorable and peaceful! I only wish the weather would have been better to enjoy the fire pit and smores kit!! Thank you Steff for having us!

Bernadette's place is a fantastic getaway - very peaceful. The place is exactly as described. I thoroughly enjoyed the use of Bernadett 's kayak and paddle board (as well as walking ans running in her neighborhood and visiting Bethel Beach). I'd love to come back another time!

The host was super responsive. Great location. There were many extra chairs. Great value. Nicely stocked kitchen. Clean.

Just a short overnight stay but absolutely perfect. Great space to let your dog out and explore!

the cabin is a perfect place for someone looking for a quiet night or two and doesn't require too many amenities.

Loved staying here, though there wasn't much to do around it is within a 30 minute drive to Williamsburg! Enjoyed the peaceful setting as it was great for our dog! The wifi didn't work well but was nice to be disconnected a bit, would recommend staying here for a quite time!

Much needed peaceful, private getaway!! Fun unique setting. Nice newly updated bathroom and kitchen were a great addition to the otherwise rustic ambience.

We had a lovely stay and created wonderful memories with our friends and family at this beautiful log cabin. This is the perfect place if you are looking for a remote getaway that is still easy access to Richmond, which has plenty to do. Our favorite was waking up and looking at the 3 horses, taking walks down to the river, and our kids playing together in the playroom, which has all the toys a kid could ever want. The home is absolutely beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, and responsive. We would highly recommend staying here.

I needed a pet friendly place to stay to attend a local graduation and this was the perfect place. I didn’t get to enjoy the amenities at the campground, but saw them and it looked like the pictures. Had a nice, quiet stay.
