The Cardinal Getaway is nestled in the heart of downtown Pilot Mtn. You can overlook local events from the patio or windows. You can walk to local shops and restaurants. If it's the outdoors, you crave you are just minutes away from the iconic Pilot Mountain as well as other outdoor activities. You will be staying in a historic building that has been renovated into a beautiful two-bedroom loft style apartment. It has a full bath, living room, kitchen, dining, laundry & new Mattress as of 2025.

A Mount Pilot Retreat

Nestled at the base of Pilot Mountain lies a quaint log cabin. On a cold winter's night, cozy up to the warm woodstove or sit outside & enjoy a beautiful fall sunset. It doesn't matter what time of year you visit, there is always something to do. Take time to visit Andy Griffith's hometown of Mayberry (Mount Airy), visit one of our local wineries, go hiking at Pilot Mountain State Park or Hanging Rock State Park, or canoe the Yadkin River. At the end of the day, relax on the porch swing!

Hilltop Hideaway

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mounatians.. Peaceful country setting without a lot of noise, maybe a cow or donkey. It has a view of Skull Camp mountain and you can swing on the front porch. Conviently located close to Raven Knob Scout Camp. Close to a stocked trout river, Fisher River. Located within minutes of I-77 and I-74. Local attractions include Mayberry, RFD and Pilot Mountain. Located 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway also.

The SheShed

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The SheShed has a million dollar view and is located 2 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is at a 3000 ft elevation with vast views of the mountains and valleys. A hiker’s dream location with several hiking trails in the surrounding area. When not hiking you can visit the many vineyards or take a trip to the nearby towns to enjoy local shops, music and dining. This cabin is designed for a couple to get away and get back to nature.

Bear Den

Tiny camping cabin with the comforts of home. Sleeping space for 2 in the loft. Partial kitchen with a coffee maker, toaster oven and refrigerator provided. Desk space for working, 2 comfy rocking chairs to relax in. Internet with Netflix and Amazon video available at no charge. A DVD player and some vintage movies available for viewing. PLEASE NOTE: No plumbing in the cabin. Entry door is 6 ft. Tall folks take care. This cabin has only the loft bed with a ladder for access.

Relax in the comfort of an old farmhouse With modern accommodations. Explore our 4 acres with outbuildings and large parking area that is camper, tag-a-long and livestock trailer friendly. Whether visiting the area or traveling through you find yourself in the heart of the Yadkin Valley just beyond the Blue Ridge Mountains. This area is known for it’s wineries, hiking, antiquing and the simple life and best of all will be returning to or never leaving our cozy farmhouse.

Cheerful & cozy 2 bedroom home in central Elkin

We would love to host you in this charming historic home, known to our family as "Grannie's House". It was built in 1905 by my great-grandparents, and later converted to a duplex. This listing is for one side of the duplex. There is a shared parking area with the permanent resident of the other side of the duplex, but otherwise this listing is completely private- no shared interiors. Sunny and comfortable, this home is waiting for you!
