Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Surf Coast Shire

The home was great for an intergenerational holiday. The living space is compact, but well compensated with huge grassed, enclosed backyard for our 18 month and 31/2 year old grandchildren to have freedom to run around safely. Also a lovely huge out door space with large table and plenty of chairs, where we could enjoy the autumn sun. Also the kitchen was well stocked with cooking dishes and utensils for in home cooking. We were readily able to safely block off the bottom of stairs with an outdoor bench seat. Bonus was we could walk everywhere too, shops for coffee and yoga, along the river tracks and to the beach! Tim’s place is beautiful, the photos do not do it justice! Tim is easy to contact and responds quickly to messages. The location is great, 5min walk to the cliff tops and beach and 15min walk to the pub along the cliff tops. The place was beautiful and clean, would happily stay there again!

We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the cosy fireplace in the evenings. The location couldn't be better for lovely walks on the beach with the dogs.

I had the most wonderful stay at this Airbnb – everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described in the listing (if not even better in person!). The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had the best sleep during my stay. The bathroom was clean and modern, with great water pressure and all the amenities I needed. What an amazing spot. We booked last minute for a little getaway from Melbourne and it was exactly what we were looking for. John and Sacha were great hosts and they have such a lovely house. So close to the beach, so many balconies to enjoy. Our 6 year old daughter loved the tree house, the toys and the dvds. Moggs creek is one of our favourite spots on the great ocean road - and our stay here made it perfect!

Lovely place to stay with close walking distances to the beach as well as the restaurant/cafe strip. Great outdoor living space, backyard set up ideally for couples or families with young kids. Would gladly stay here again.

Great house with spectacular view!! There’s toys for children and the host was nice to send the cot over for my baby. Kitchen has a sufficient utensils for us to use and cook. There’s Apple TV.. long dining table for all of us to sit. Love the house!!

Had another great stay at Lisa’s place! We can’t get enough of the fire and the real plants… rare for bnbs unfortunately. Lisa was very responsive, helpful and accomodating. Would definitely recommend!

Darren and Yolanda’s place was absolutely stunning and artsy. My family could not get over looking at the gorgeous view just opposite of the unit. I would highly recommend!

Very comfortable and well designed unit, small details are thought out with care, communication was amazing and the Fleur gave us plenty of detail on where was good in the area. Beautiful views, in a great location and just a short walk from the local amenities. Fleur even went as far as making sure the fire was lit on arrival which was a welcome touch on a winters evening - excellent and tentative host! Would gladly stay at any of Fleur’s accommodations in the future, and a must stay if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Anglesea.

A hidden gem just outside Lorne where the only drama is deciding whether to have your wine in the hot tub or by the fire. Spoiler: we did both. Peaceful, cozy, and the perfect spot to live your best relaxed life.

Beautiful and peaceful location. Not far from the beach at all and you can connect with nature. Jess was great at communications and will definitely be looking into booking again soon. We had a great time staying at Jess’s property. ☺️

This was our second time here and we loved it just as much as the first. It's just great for pets: the enclosed yard is spacious so you can just let the doggo go outside and wander without worrying. The broader grounds are lovely. You feel like you are out in the country but if you forgot something, the Torquay shops are just a 10 min drive away. The animals, trampoline, pool, and ping pong are all great for the whole family. Terry is just lovely to chat with and very helpful if you need anything. Finally, check out the Great Ocean Road nursery and café just two doors down — delicious food and coffee and a very pleasant spot.

We had a lovely start at Wisteria cottage. Everything was as expected and more. We were traveling with a child and toddler and were very comfortable during the stay. The children thoroughly enjoyed their time at the farm. The biggest highlight being the tractor tour of the farm and interacting with the animals are close quarters. The cottage was perfect in all aspects and had a homely feel about it. We would highly recommend it to anyone especially if you are traveling with children.
