Monthly Rentals in Summer Haven

I loved our stay for our family vacation. The home was very clean, had a beautiful layout, and Xue was very responsive to anything we needed. You do not have beach access at this Airbnb except for during low tide and then you have to climb down a bunch of large boulders. This wasn't made clear. I thought we would have consistent beach access, so that was disappointing for what was spent on the Airbnb. The door knobs definitely need to be replaced, I got so frustrated with how stuck it would get. The bed was super comfortable. Plenty of towels and blankets. Coffee maker worked great. I loved that they had boogie boards and beach chair to be used. I think my favorite part was this like screened in porch/patio off the 2nd room. I'd drink my coffee there and and the dogs would just hang out. Oh they were AMAZING as far as being dog friendly. No weight or breed restrictions. Very reasonable fee for cleaning due to the dogs.

This is our second time staying at Chez Batesy. My son attends the summer camp at UF's Whitney Lab for Marine Bioscience with some of his friends. The lab is just a few minute south of the AirBNB. The rental is perfect for camp - very close to the lab + has numerous beaches for the kids to explore after camp is over. The bottom floor is a garage converted to storage and has a washer / dryer available to use - perfect when the kids need more showers in a day than planned from getting too sandy. There is a lot of beach gear available to use - buckets, beach chairs, etc. that make visiting any of the surrounding beaches lovely. We had a lovely time and plan to return next summer.

So grateful we stayed at the Penthouse on the beach! The views were incredible, the space is so artfully decorated and designed, and the beach is beautiful. It felt like having a semi-private beach given how access is set up, which was peaceful. The hosts have set things up to be sure you have everything you need. Driving to downtown St Aug was super easy and sitting on the sand was delightful, but the best part was sitting on the swinging chairs on the deck (listening to music or reading books and drinking coffee) and watching the waves roll in. We will definitely return - the whole experience was five star.

My family had a wonderful stay for our first time in the area. Most of our time at home was spent watching wildlife from the large porches in the mornings and evenings. We flew in with only carry-ons so the beach chairs, beach bag, towels, water toys were a huge bonus. The house truly has everything you need and a gorgeous view. We had two teenage boys who were in awe of the inlet area watching high/low tide changes and checking out the river wildlife with kayaks - it's a very special place.
