Monthly Rentals in Stonington

Was visiting with my family which included an infant and had great experience with relaxing sauna, firepit and cozy place. Instructions were easy to follow for sauna and we were up and running pretty quickly. Place was clean and just as described. Our stay was very comfortable and a unique experience and would definitely want to come back again!

Gathering Moss cottage was a wonderful place to stay and experience Stonington. A very cozy cabin in a fantastic setting on a hill overlooking the Harbor. The cabin is as described and there were no unpleasant surprises. It’s a small, basic cabin with plenty of charm and a laidback vibe. The kitchen is clean and well stocked with utensils and cookware. Belinda was welcoming, kind and a generous host. Though her house is close to the cabin, she is respectful of boundaries and leaves you to your business. You wouldn’t even know she’s there unless you need something. The location is absolutely perfect as you can walk down to the Main Street, yet you have peace and quiet and splendid view. I would definitely stay at Gathering Moss again!

So peaceful but off season. So not sure how it would be with lots of traffic and people. But the private deck and entrance was wonderful. The water view couldn’t have been more up close and personal with the beautiful harbor. The place was clean and cozy. Perfect lighting. Didn’t watch tv once. A convenient common room for extra supplies or a cup of coffee. Staff was very friendly when we were checking out. No front desk attendant and none needed. They answer messages quickly!

Absolutely loved being in Stonington. Such a lovely town that felt true to Maine’s roots. Susan’s place is right at the heart of Stonington. The house has lots of rustic charm, we loved the views of the harbor. The kitchen was nice to have for breakfast and lunch, for dinner we were able to walk to restaurants right from the house. Worth noting that several restaurants are closed before the first weekend of June and/or on weekdays (Monday especially).
