Our cottage is hidden away in Tanunda in the heart of the Barossa Valley. It's little - just one cosy bedroom - but in a very handy location just up the road from iconic Tanunda wineries. It has a private garden and undercover off-street parking.
“This is a beautiful place to experience. It is small, cosy, warm, private and welcoming in all ways. From comfy bed and sofas,to selections of videos, kinds of coffee and teas etc. It is a base for excursions within the Barossa or a very pleasant place to rest, recuperate, read and meditate. We wished we had booked several days here.”
At first glance, yes it's a shed. But explore further and you will find an unique Aussie experience, a fully functional self contained room. Shower, toilet and kitchenette. All private and seperate from our house. It's normally used for overnighters by family and friends. Please be open minded in your expectations, it's not the Ritz, Hilton, Taj Mahal but what it is clean, tidy, private affordable accomadation. Single or couple.
“Quirky, comfortable place to stay. Reminiscent of the Crashpadder/Airbnb I used to know. Now sadly mostly ousted by the commercialism of current business. Excellent value for money, well located for exploring the Barossa wine region. If you don't want luxury, this place will suit you fine.”
This rustic shed office has been restored to appreciate early Australian rural life. Enjoy views over the Valley from the large open deck. Only a stones throw away from the Angaston rail yards and historic town of Angaston.
“We absolutely loved the charm of the old mixed with new, and didn't want to leave! The place is only a short walk from Angaston too, which is such a quaint town. We went to Hive Cafe in the main street 3 times - the coffee and food was amazing! Elder's Office is such a stylish place, and was sparkling clean! We loved the gas fireplace and the spa bath too - they were both really nice touches for a romantic getaway. Jasmine was a lovely and attentive host too, and we look forward to coming back one day!”
