Monthly Rentals in Stavrochori

We really enjoyed our stay at Nikos place. He is a lovely host. The small village is perfect for a relaxed vacation. It is a bit remote, but no problem at all if you have a rental car. The view from the balcony down to the coast is wonderfull and if we are coming back to crete we will try to book Nikos place again.

We felt very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the patio. The apartment is practically furnished - for a simple breakfast and meal you will find everything you need. The hosts were very friendly, even provided a few small things and fruit. They also sent us a nice message with excursion tips. We immediately fell in love with Diaskari Beach - a not so crowded (at least in early June) beach, about 10 minutes away by car with a nice tavern and hammocks on the beach.

We stayed for a couple of nights and didn’t want to leave! The views and location are absolutely stunning. The wonderful caretaker, Kokka, brought us fresh tomatoes every day and introduced us to all of her cousins -we truly felt like locals. Nick is a Superhost extraordinaire -incredibly kind, with lightning-fast responses and wonderful conversation. Also loved Manros’ Melydron Beach Bar and Stefanos Taverna Exipiretisis -both were highlights of our stay! Lastly Georgios’ Porto at the end of the beach had the best pizza and pasta in town. We can’t wait to return next year!

We had nice quiet days at Kelari Cottage :-) The place has everything we needed and the bed was sooo comfortable! The hike to Pefki through the gorge is so worth it, after that you should definitely eat in Pefki with Maria - delicious! The area is pretty, still very deserted and sleepy in March. We would come back!
