An amazing stay for our group! It was a beautiful and peaceful environ and the house and local neighborhood had some fantastic amenities and perks that we were fully encouraged to enjoy and take advantage of. We had a full group of 8 people and and it was perfect for our needs.

The house was beautiful, spacious and spotless. Furniture and beds were very comfortable and well-appointed. Views were amazing. Quiet and serene environment. Josephine was very responsive and helpful. They did not require tedious clean up before check-out. We would stay here again.

Great place to accommodate a girls’ weekend. There was plenty of well decorated and comfy space for all of us and amazing views! The road to the house is a little steep and has gravel, so it’s probably best to travel with a car that can handle that.

Exact description! If your looking for peace and quiet, you found it! Preston and his family were great hosts. Communicated very easily. Also gave great recommendations for local ideas of travel. The orange tabby cat outside the door every day was extra special. She warmed my heart! The bathroom floored was heated, an extra bonus! Thank you Preston and family!

Perfect stay for our little family! It was an easy walk to the metro where you could easily ride to all of the major attractions. The hosts were very responsive!

Great place- right next to the golf cart rentals which was amazing! Seven minute walk to everything. Would definitely stay here again it was a lovely trip!

One of our favorite and most relaxing Airbnb stays! Incredible mountain views, beautifully appointed cottage, lots of wildlife, and a great location for exploring wineries and area attractions. Our dogs enjoyed relaxing with us on the enclosed deck in the evenings. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Diani was responsive and provided a very helpful guidebook and instructions before we arrived. We would absolutely stay here again.

As always, just an awesome getaway! The minute I pull up to the cottage and look out at the water, any stress just disappears. I’ve been coming here for a number of years and Angela and her cottage are second to none!! We had such a lovely stay at this cute cottage! It was cozy, clean, and had such a peaceful vibe. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the patio—it was the perfect spot to unwind. The location couldn’t have been better: a quiet, safe neighborhood in Alexandria, super close to Washington D.C., and we had no issues with parking at all! Heather was a wonderful host—very kind and quick to respond to any questions we had. We will stay here again in the future!

We had a WONDERFUL time! The location can’t be beat - 2 blocks from the beach, 2 blocks from a great brewery, and less than 10 min to the main boardwalk. The house itself was clean, nicely updated, and was beautifully furnished. They even had beach towels and wagons we could use! I would highly recommend staying here.

My friends and I immediately felt relaxed and cared for in this delightful home. We loved that it was right on the water and that we could enjoy seeing the Potomac River from so many rooms. The beds were very comfortable. Sue is a thoughtful and very pleasant host. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We really enjoyed the historic house, it was a great base location for wine touring and getting out and doing hike! We also took a walk down the road to the black market and had a great time there as well! Thank you Mary Ann

We loved our stay at Emily’s! It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. We were in town for the horse show so we didn’t get to spend lots of time there but I loved having coffee outside in the mornings and watching the horses graze in the fields. We would definitely come back and stay here, we loved it!

Colonial Beach was the perfect destination for a girls kid-free weekend away and Matthew’s cottage was super cute and the ideal place to stay! Matthew was very knowledgeable of the town and had excellent recommendations on just about everything. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked with essentials. The house is in a great location and we were able to walk just a short distance to the beach and many restaurants. Dockside Tiki Bar on a Saturday night was the highlight of the trip, very fun live band and beautiful view of the sunset! El Toro Mexican restaurant is hidden in a strip mall but definitely worth a try for delicious Mexican food and margaritas! Would 100% stay at Matthew’s place for another visit to CB!

This farmhouse cottage was perfect for our anniversary weekend getaway! The space is just beautiful, and the location is convenient. While you’re a short drive from shopping, restaurants, and vineyards, the cottage is tucked away on a quiet country road in a way that makes you feel “away from it all”. Stephanie provided us with eggs from her chicken coop, and we loved making breakfast in the mornings before heading out for wine tasting and shopping :) Stephanie was also a very responsive host which is always appreciated. We highly recommend booking this cottage, and we hope to be back soon!
