Family-friendly holiday rentals in St. Helena

This property is amazing in every way. There’s a view from the ocean from almost every room, beautiful tile work and gorgeous, well appointed bathrooms. A sauna and extra hot hot tub. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The house itself is beautiful with private spaces, but also a large living room where everyone can gather around a beautiful tiled potbelly fireplace. It’s a short walk to the beach through a charming neighborhood. The host Rebekah was very communicative and generous, allowed us flexible, check-in and check out. I will 100% be staying here again.

We loved everything about this property- from the comfortable, homey setting to the beautiful landscaping and outdoor spaces. Directions and communication were clear and guest friendly. On behalf of the 5 of us, on our girls' getaway, we thank you all wholeheartedly and are already planning on returning next April! Thank you for sharing this truly special home with us. It was a perfect 5 star get-away from beginning to end!

Thanks to Belinda for allowing us a great place to stay during BottleRock. The place is exactly as advertised with three bedrooms two bathrooms a well stocked kitchen and a great back patio. Check out instructions were not overly burdensome either. It was a short five minute walk from the house down to the venue for a Bottlerock.

If you're looking for a quiet place to unwind and relax, we HIGHLY recommend Barrel Lounge. Whether you want to chill in the hot tub, lay in the pool, or lounge on the deck while grillin' out, this place has it all. Beyond the amenities, the hosts, Kathy and Jim are incredible. They were very accommodating, providing everything we could have needed. They are two of the most kind-hearted people. Every interaction with them was a delight. Top notch experience: 1000/100 as our son would say. Many thanks to Kathy and Jim for making our honeymoon one that we'll never forget.

We loved the property and its proximity to the water and two large beaches. The house itself is thoughtfully decorated and has the furnishings and supplies just like it would if someone actually lived there rather than the typical Airbnb “shell” that only has the bare necessities (or less). We did have an unfortunate complication that occurred when we arrived. Things happen, but what matters more than anything is how a host handles an unexpected event. Jay was kind, understanding, and empathetic and did everything needed to make things right. We will absolutely be back.

Ryan and James were available and responsive. The cottage was well appointed and immaculate. It was obvious that quite a bit of thought went into the amenities and decor. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The views! Looking over the Russian River where it empties into the Pacific Ocean was awesome! We will be back.

Patricia's beautiful beach house exceeded our expectations and more! The panoramic ocean views and wrap around deck made us feel like we were floating on the ocean. The home was really well equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the hot tub and playing some games that were available for us to use. We could easily walk to Dillon Beach from the house to enjoy the sunshine. The home was very clean and cozy and Patricia was very kind and responsive. Highly recommend for a family beach vacation.

My family and I had an enjoyable weekend stay at Peter’s cottage. The location was beautiful and home was cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed and I appreciated a clean porta-crib that was provided.

This place and the view were as described. The view was absolutely beautiful to enjoy during the day and at night. It was just 2 of us and a toddler for one night, but it would be a great value for a larger group for a longer stay! The location was also fantastic.

This was an eccentric and super cute Airbnb! Between a full stocked kitchen, the easy access, the comfortable beds and pillows, and the huge TV. It made our stay extremely comfortable. The owner was very responsive and accommodating every step of the way.

We loved staying at Bobby's place in Santa Rosa! The description and photos were accurate, and everything went smoothly while staying there.

I’m so happy I was able to stay at this beautiful and airy space! It was so conveniently located in a very walkable area, equipped with everything I could possibly need, and felt like a little oasis. Anyone would be lucky to spend time here!

Sherry was very responsive and very flexible with checkout which we appreciated. you need a car as there's not much within walking distance. the neighborhood is quiet and although the unit is a bit dated, it has everything you need.

We stayed at Erin's wine country cottage for a few days as our "home base" while in town for the Food & Wine Event. Their studio unit cottage was cozy, and welcoming. We ate out and didn't use kitchenette beyond making coffee, but I noticed that it looked well stocked! The bed was comfy, which made for good sleep at night. The cottage location is great as it's close to the freeway yet still in a quiet, rural setting next to a vineyard, and just about a mile or so from downtown (we walked to town every day). Erin (& Tom) are both exceptional hosts. They're friendly, helpful, and have great recommendations for restaurants & wineries. Can't forget Hurley the lab... he's super friendly too!

Linda’s home in Glen Ellen was perfect! We were minutes from some great wineries and walking distance into town (restaurants, grocery store, bar, etc). The house is so inviting, we spent time reading, relaxing, and enjoying the backyard. We’ll definitely stay here again!

If you have a chance to book one of Jenny's properties, I would encourage you to do so. Of all the hosts we have encountered, she is the best. The suite was spotless and thoughtfully appointed with everything someone could want during their stay. The grounds of her home were just beautiful, a welcomed retreat from the outside world. In addition, Jenny was an incredibly resposive host. She provided great recommendation and suggestions for our visit. She was also incredibly kind to my daughter. Thank you Jenny for your warmth in welcoming is to your home.

This place is increíble! Hosts were friendly and proactive. The pool was heated to a perfect temperature and the view is unbeatable. The recommendations for hikes and restaurants were spot on. My husband and I had an amazing little getaway and we’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, gorgeous place to stay!

We came a second time to Fred’s river home oasis. Our kids love the grounds and the stream is so peaceful. Pool is delightfully warm and with a Forest view. Come here for a nature escape. We will be back!

The most incredible home and location!! So far exceeded our expectations!! The setting was gorgeous and serene and perfectly located - short drive to amazing restaurants and vineyards!! We’re already searching for our next opportunity to visit this amazing property!! Couldn’t recommend it more!!!

Description and pictures all matched. It was very private despite the main house being on-site. The hot tub was excellent and was so peaceful among pine and palm trees. Polina met us and showed us around. We did not use the pool but it was available. Bed, pillows and linens comfortable. We had very late nights due to our plans and felt easy and safe returning later at night. Parking on-site was appreciated.

I loved this place. It was beautifully decorated and had amazing views. The pool was an added benefit on hot days! It’s somewhat small for a group because it only has one bedroom but still worth the experience.

I’ve been eyeing Cena and Roger’s place for well over a year and had tried to book another time when it wasn’t available. This year I finally was able to stay and I honestly didn’t want to leave. What a special, unbelievably delightful stay it was. I’m a huge nature nerd and the amount of flowers and greenery made it feel like Hawaii. Tropical paradise. Complete with birds and lizards flirting about. This trip I was in town mostly for Bottlerock but I ended up just lounging around most of my mornings, reading and slowly getting ready for the day. It was hard to leave to go out every day because the property is that peaceful and beautiful. I am so thankful I got to enjoy this stunning space and cannot wait to hopefully stay there again. Roger and Cena are lovely, sweet people. They’ve made this their own little slice of heaven, which they so graciously share with others. Fabulous experience. Thank you!
