Take a boat, or walk to Torno to find a bar, cafe, shop, and restaurants. Como is a short drive, and public transport is close by. The apartment is 5 km from Como, 2 km from Torno, 40 km from Milan, 38 km from Lugano. It can be reached by public transport: the C30 C31 C32 buses leave approximately every hour from Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como- Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio - Decorations Savio stop, about 100 m from the house. Pleasant alternative to traditional public transport can be the use of the boats of the navigation of Lake Como, starting from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

Cà du Sulfar

If you are looking for a sunny country immersed in greenery, quiet, relaxing and away from everyday traffic: Spoccia is the ideal country (height 800 m) Spoccia is located in the Cannobina Valley just 13 km from Lake Maggiore where Cannobio is located (with the characteristic Sunday morning market) and Val Vigezzo (also called Valle dei Pittori) Cà du Sulfar is steps away from the parking lot along the characteristic main road built entirely in pyode. Completely renovated 2 years ago, special attention was paid to the exposed beamed ceiling, the veranda for breakfast with magnificent views of the valley and the wooden staircase leading to the upper floor. Cà du Sulfar is built on two floors: on the first floor open kitchen with traditional oven and microwave , living room with fireplace and a small closet with washing machine. From the wooden staircase you can access the veranda with a micro-museum of traditional tools from Spoccia. Upstairs are the two bedrooms (one double and the other with two single beds) and the windowed bathroom with shower. Since there are no shops in Spoccia it is advisable to reach the country with a good supply of food and non-food items. On Thursday afternoons (around 2:30 pm) you can buy fruit and vegetables from a street vendor directly in the parking lot; also on Thursday mornings there is a bus service that reaches Cannobio with return around noon From Spoccia depart several trails that lead to alpine pastures and panoramic points You can make trips/excursions daily to Verbania, to visit the fantastic park of Villa Taranto, Stresa with its Liberty style hotels, from where you can make visits to the Borromeo Islands, Orta San Giulio, from the magical medieval atmosphere From the stations of Verbania and Stresa are easily reachable by train Milan and Novara

The house has many windows and sun in charming position above the village of Maggia overlooking the waterfall of the Valle del Salto, nestled in a tropical garden, fully fenced and with a small swimming pool. At the entrance we find the kitchen with a fireplace and a living room with a breathtaking view of the valley. On the 1st floor below, which can be reached both from an external door on the public street and from the inside with a wooden staircase we find a double bedroom with a bed for children and a bathroom with a large shower. On the 2nd floor, which you can reach from a door on the public street, we find a bedroom with a double sofa bed. You can also spend time in the garden

IL NIDO – the world from a porthole

Il Nido is a structure made entirely of natural wood, 20 square meters, designed specifically for 2 people and equipped with all comforts. It is perched on the rock, with a small solarium garden, and to live a unique experience, it also has an outdoor jacuzzi tub with water that you will have to heat with the special wood stove, NOT AVAILABLE FROM 12 JANUARY TO 10 FEBRUARY. From every corner you have a wonderful view of Lake Como and the mountains that surround it.
