Oakdale Cottage

We are located at the base of Spencers Butte with miles of beautiful hiking trails. Three decks, outside hammock and BBQ. Mexican tiles and hard wood floors. Our cottage is just outside of town, and more often then not you may encounter some dust. We thoroughly clean the cottage between every guest and wash every linen in the cottage. If you are a neat freak, this may not be the place for you. (I am adding this to our beautiful listing to address some 3 star reviews on cleaning, simply false).

Cozy studio nestled in the quiet South Hills of Eugene. Free street parking and access to the neighborhood nature trail right out your door. Only 3 miles from Hayward and 5 miles from Autzen yet the feeling of being away from it all in our beautiful wooded hills. Less than a five minute drive to the Spencer Butte Trailhead which offers fantastic views of our city as well as the countryside. You will need to be able to negotiate stairs along the house to access your private entrance.

Ayva’s place was clean, cozy, and in a great location. It was very simple but had everything you’d need for a quick weekend getaway, and was in a nice neighborhood not too far from campus. Ayva and her dad were great hosts - very responsive, helpful, and welcoming!

This place was absolutely great!!! It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and very close to the college campus while still being in the foothills and very private. The bed was ridiculously comfortable and although we didn’t have a chance to use the kitchen like we normally do, it was well stocked and could definitely accommodate home cooked meals. Heidi was very accommodating and responsive and we would definitely stay here again.

We loved the location, close enough to town for convenience but tucked away enough to feel like a peaceful, private escape. It was the perfect place to relax during Eugene Marathon weekend. Very comfortable space to rent while visiting Eugene. Pros- safe, beautiful neighbourhood, easy to find, comfy mattress, centrally located. Cons- it was shared on the listing that you can hear noise from upstairs… that is true. You can hear people walking around and moving things very clearly which made us think perhaps they could hear us in the flat. It was very quiet at nighttime however. The bed was super comfortable but bed pillows could be replaced. The bathroom linens were clean but some had bleach stains on them. It would be nice if the kitchen utensils included smaller spoons for cereal and sharp dinner knives. Overall, this property is a nice space and we enjoyed our stay.

I had a great stay at Kathryn's place with my dog! I highly recommend if you are looking for places in Eugene and I would certainly stay here again. The space was just as the listing described... honestly even better than I anticipated! It was very clean and cute. There was everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay, including fully stocked kitchen, bathroom essentials, and washing/drying machine. My dog and I LOVED the fully fenced-in backyard area with the lounging chairs to soak up some Oregon sunshine! It felt secure, safe, quiet, and private. I enjoyed the location and found some great food and walking spots within walking distance! Kathryn provided thorough instructions for an easy check-in and check-out process.
