Cabin holiday rentals in Southland

A very simple but nice cabin with amazing views. The facilities were all clean and amenities were as described for a more rural stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive! Would recommend if visiting the area.

Our group has stayed in a lot of AirBnbs and Mavora cabin was hands down the best experience we have ever had! The location of the cabin is incredibly beautiful, it is hard to not spend all of your time just sitting and staring at the view. The cabin itself is wonderfully appointed, clean and comfortable. And Anna and Rob are absolutely wonderful hosts! They took time to show us and our two year old around the farm, and to meet some animals and they were so unbelievably kind. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and would love to stay again!

Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 nights. Ideal place to stay for a couple of nights exploring Queenstown. Walkable into town on flat route. Hot tub was also a nice touch for the evenings.

they were very nice. even loaned me a chefs knife and some oil. let us pick some fruit from the trees. would recomend.

This is such a beautiful part of the world. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the bellbird hut. The bed was amazingly comfortable and location is so peaceful, I had one of the best sleeps of my life. The outdoor baths are the icing on the cake, so wonderful to be out under the stars.

Perfect stay for soemthing different! Such a nice getaway for a trip to Queenstown just out the city! Was very cosy! Loved it :)

We absolutely loved our stay here. The place was so clean and surprisingly spacious. Nate's recommendations were so comprehensive and helpful, and always responded promptly. The place is on the same property as the owners, but it still felt exceptionally private and seperate. They had clearly put a great deal of thought into all the ammenities, he provided amazing recommendations of things to do and where to eat out etc throughout Glenorchy and beyond. The place exceeded our expectations, and we would happily stay here again.

Sally, Dougall (and Maggie Murray 🐶) are so kind and amazing hosts. My partner and I had the best getaway in Tiny Town, cozying up by the fire and a bath under the stars! We felt right at home and honestly didn’t want to leave! Maggie gave the best cuddles and was the cherry on top of an already perfect stay.

A great spot to stay in Wānaka, located at the back of the property it was private and peaceful even with a number of airbnb’s on the property.

Comfortable

Loanne was extremely helpful in every way possible. She was very hands on, even supplying a cooker (to cook a trout) and pliers (to adjust a fish hook) I stayed here 45 years ago, lots of new cabins but I think the communal kitchen area was very similar. Beware the drive potholes, but all in all a great stop over and convenient for The Town & Country Club just over the railway line.

Christine's cute cottage was perfect for our two-night stay. Easy access to the village centre and a prime location to all the walking and biking valleys. The place had everything we needed. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Wins place is clean and quiet with a stunning view of the lake. Perfect place to stay if you drive. The location is also close to a bus stop that takes 10-15 min to the centre of the city.

We had a ball. Kerri was great with instructions and was on hand immediately to help. We didn’t meet her legend husband he was over at the pub… lad! We heard them singing in the pub and wanted to join but it was so dark we were wondering if we would be okay getting there. We woke up early for sunrise and it was so refreshing to go out and see the beauty surrounding the cabin shack lodge. We would return and we recommend and next time we’ll check out the holy pub.

Maybe a 20 minute drive to the small town of wanaka, quiet and cozy cabin, very kind hosts, highly recommend!

Went to Wyndham for work and stayed across the road from the client's premises, which was just super great for us. Didn't have much time to leasure around but really enjoyed the decor of the place. Clean, peaceful, modern, comfortable and very accommodating to my 2 little designer dogs. They even "suffered through" sleeping in the supplied dog bed rather than theirs. Will stay there anytime I'm in the vicinity. Very good price point for the lovely place and cute little homely touches from the hosts!

My stay at this cozy Airbnb hut was absolutely delightful. Nestled in nature, the peaceful surroundings made it the perfect escape from the busy city life. The hut was clean, well-equipped, and just as pictured. Waking up to the sounds of birds and the fresh breeze was a highlight. A special shoutout to the owner, who was incredibly efficient and helpful — they quickly resolved a water staging issue in the washroom with great professionalism. Their responsiveness made the stay even more comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a serene, nature-filled setting. Would love to return!

Kirsten and Tim are wonderful hosts! My husband and I stayed for two weeks for our honeymoon and it was absolute bliss! Their cute and cozy cabin is modern and had everything we needed. Kirsten was so wonderful and helpful and made sure to check in with us and ensure that we had everything we needed and that we had settled in okay. We would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend. It is a cute, convenient and peaceful stay for two located only a 5 minute bus ride into Queenstown. Thank you Kirsten and Tim! We had a fantastic two night stay. The accomodation is fabulous with lots of personal touches and the garden and surrounding area absolutely stunning. We envy other guests that managed to stay for much longer. We would love to stay again. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Beautiful, cosy, clean cabin with great lake views! Very comfy bed, kitchen had everything you need, great shower, lovely patio. very friendly host who answered right away. A lovely little escape from the busy life. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Julie’s place — the location was ideal, tucked away just enough for privacy but still very convenient for exploring Wanaka. The space was beautifully set up, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. The bed was super comfy, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. Julie was incredibly accommodating and responsive, with great communication from the start. She kindly allowed us an early check-in so our baby could nap — our travel cot fit in perfectly, which made all the difference after a long drive. We felt really well looked after and would absolutely stay here again.

Great location close to town, walkable and an easy drive, great garden with trampoline and cubby house for our little one. The second room has amazing children’s books and toys. Highly recommend , great feel to the space with outlook to the mountain

Fantastic air BNB in a quiet location. Everything was as described. Onky a short drive from downtown Wanaka, easily accessible by car or bike. we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!
