Had a blast at staying in the yurt! My 2 year old daughter loved the golf cart and all the animals.

This was my wife and I's first time away without kids in 20 years. It was the most relaxing stay we could have imagined. It's a 7 hour drive from our home, we stumbled upon it while visiting friends in TN, and we needed a place to spend a night on our way home, my wife said she would travel 7 hours back to spend a long weekend. It was worth every penny to us. It is a slice of heaven on earth. If you enjoy listening to nature this is the place, we fell asleep hearing the wind gently blow through the trees, awoke to the birds, and had a mix of rain drops overnight. We have traveled as full time RVers for 10 years, and have lived all over the US, we considered buying a 40ft catamaran, and sailing the high seas, however after one night, we know a yurt is something we will own and live in as our children move out and it's just the 2 of us. Perfect space in a perfect place. Stunning views. Total privacy with easy access to stores, restaurants, and all the outdoor activities available in the greater Ashville area. We were so enamored with the property, however, that we spent most of our time there. Claire was extremely responsive and helpful, and the house was clean and ready to enjoy upon arrival. There is a notebook of information about the house and the property; it also contains suggestions for area activities and businesses. We would return without hesitation. We were sad to leave!

We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. The farm tour with Madi was excellent, truly a must do! The yurt was cozy with a short walk to the pool and hot tub. It felt like a private retreat. We had some big rain storms while there, but inside was dry and comforting. Will absolutley be back!

We loved our stay in the yurt. It was a beautiful space inside and a very private location. Appreciated the detailed directions for how to find it as the road in is easy to miss. Temperature management and hot water were great, better than expected. Would love to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the yurt! Linda will be the first to warn you that this is more like camping than a hotel, but there is something very special about this place.

Jamie’s place was amazing. Much more than expected. Beautiful yurt that is surprisingly roomy. Great amenities and super clean. We truly enjoyed hiking for hours through the expansive property with clear cut trails. Our dogs enjoyed the quiet countryside and long walks through the forest. Be sure to check out the shale creek with a waterfall and 200 foot cliffs! Quiet mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee were perfect. The yurt has everything you’ll need for a great time, ac was great and having a kitchen made dinners easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to return for another stay. Thank you!!!

Absolutely LOVED this place! Only regret was we didn’t book an extra night there! Highly recommend for a serene Mountain View.

Very quiet and secluded. Artfully decorated. Creek was dry but forest sounds made up for it. Ryan was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Hot water heater was a little finicky, but the bath house provides a great camping feel. We would highly recommend this place for a couple looking to slow down and relax for a while!

Darcy’s place was cute, comfortable and clean. The location was great - removed from the congestion of downtown Asheville, it was really easy to get around and access sights and trails. The neighborhood was quiet and the property felt more secluded than it was. The house had everything we needed including a comfortable couch and beds and a nice outdoor living space. We’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnbs and Darcy’s place is a new favorite - would definitely stay here again.

Monica's Yurt is exactly what you need for a weekend of R&R. The site looks exactly like it does in the pictures. We loved being in our own private neck of the woods. Oyr pups loved roaminf the open space. The Yurt had everything we needed (kitchen utensils, firewood etc.) and even had some tea and hot cocoa waiting for us. The creek out in front is peaceful and nice for a walk. We made a bonfire with the wood that Monica left for us and cooked some BBQ for dinner, followed by a chill hang in the hammock. Monica met us when we arrived to show us the way and was always responsive when we needed her. She even let us know we could check out late on Sunday if we wanted. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short due to an pup emergency but we are looking forward to coming back to the Yurt in the future! Thanks Monica for such a nice experience!

Although we prefer a little more privacy, this stay was incredibly worth the general location, price, and yurt experience. We are from a town right around the corner, so it was nice discovering hidden gems nearby. Barn cafe, Toaster’s Deli, and the Scenic Lookout off the Parkway to watch the sun set. Very pleased with our stay at the Bee Hive for our 19th anniversary!

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday weekend. It far exceeded our expectations and we will certainly be back! The overall atmosphere and experience of staying in the yurt were so much fun! The piano, records, and sound system were the real game changers for me. And these are but a few of the many intentional details the hosts provide! Best of all, this property provides you with a secluded, romantic getaway while also remaining within just a few minutes' drive of downtown/the Biltmore/practically everything Asheville has to offer! We highly recommend and we cannot wait to return for a longer stay soon!

This is my second stay at Tanya’s and it’s the only Airbnb I stayed in twice as I like to explore new places. But Tanya’s cottage is so peaceful and beautiful I couldn’t think of anywhere else to stay in Big Canoe. Even though it rained all weekend I loved walking along the meadows and reading a book with a view of the lake.

Fran was an exceptional host, and the yurt was such a fun way to ring in the New Year. I won't mince words: it was chilly, but the buddy heater was a welcome amenity, and the bed was beyond comfy and piled high with blankets. The bathhouse 250 steps away was terrific, but by far and away my favorite perk was the en suite--the composting toilet around the corner on the deck, something I didn't know about until I arrived! Fran thinks of everything, and, given I was starving on arrival, the freshly baked bread was such a welcome treat. If you're a beer drinker, don't miss Blue Mountain Barrel House & Smokin' Barrel Restaurant. Thank you, Fran!

My first yurt! Thoughtfully designed and has the perfect little forest around it, complete with a bubbling fountain that sounds wonderful and relaxing. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Convenient to everything I needed, peaceful and serene environment, all the amenities were as described, and Ellen is a beautiful soul. So glad we stayed here. We will be back!

We were overwhelmed by Mary Ellen’s yurt!! It was exactly as described and was in pristine condition. We felt completely immersed in nature while still having all of the comforts of home. There is just something about being surrounded by mountains and wildlife but having AC and a relaxing hot tub!! She was quickly responsive, provided excellent recommendations from restaurants to hiking trails and even provided a couple of surprises for our toddler. We are already discussing our next stay because we will definitely be booking again. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better place to stay even if I tried🤎

Had a blast watching and feeding the goats treats ! The stairs to the second bed are tricky but totally cool if you dont have any physical restrictions. super relaxing and fun experience over all !

This is a fantastic place for a peaceful stay in the mountains of NC. If you are needing a glamorous getaway, this is it! It was a beautiful camping community perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs. There’s some great local foods, like Victory and Lure Market nearby that are worth checking out.

We had a wonderful stay at Selah’s Place in Athens, TX! This cozy 2-bedroom villa was the perfect getaway for our family. The home was well-equipped with everything we needed—from comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms to a fully stocked kitchen with a French press, Keurig coffee maker (with plenty of pods!), and a fridge/freezer that made ice. The outdoor furniture on both levels was a great touch for relaxing mornings or evenings. It was also incredibly convenient to have a washer and dryer on-site, along with cleaning supplies and laundry detergent provided. A true home away from home! Our grandkids had the time of their lives fishing and releasing fish and feeding the turtles—they’re still talking about it! Selah’s Place offered not only comfort but also some great memory-making experiences for the whole family. Highly recommend staying here, and we will definitely be back!

The yurt is lovely and reflective of the care that has gone into its creation with artistic touches inside and a delightful array of hostas and other flowers on the outside. The fenced in area was ideal for our dog, giving him a bit of freedom while we could still keep a close eye on him. We loved being awakened in the morning by early light streaming in through the dome of the yurt and then relaxing on the deck with a cup of coffee and a serenade of birdsongs. We were looking for a peaceful respite from our noisy world, and we found it here. Thank you, Julia, for sharing it.
