The Big Bear Phoenix Chalet

You will have the entire place to yourself! The large 1100 sqft house has been beautifully decorated and will amaze you with 16 foot high vaulted pine wood ceilings, natural light, a center piece fireplace plus a large, open plan entertainment area. This spacious “home away from home” sleeps 4-6 comfortably, with two separate bedrooms (one king and one queen bed with quality matresses and bedding), two bathrooms and a CB2 queen sleeper sofa with a fold-out queen mattress in the living room. There’s one full bathroom on the first floor and a large living / entertainment area on the second floor - with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a half bathroom - giving you lots of privacy and options. The Cabin has strong Wifi throughout the house and even on the entire property. The kitchen features a 5-burner gas stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, frensh press, kettle, blender, 4-slice toaster, rice cooker and a large fridge. The livingroom comes with a 50” Smart 4k resolution TV (wifi connectable) with Netflix and HBO access and a DVD player (we have a couple for you to use) - there’s also a Redbox at Vons only 5 minutes away. Also, there’s an additional TV in the master bedroom with DVD. Surrounded by trees, the house sits on a large fully fenced lot. The sun facing balcony and large outdoor area allows you to star gaze at night or have a BBQ with your friends & family. There's plenty of parking on site for more than six cars or even an RV or boat. We are centrally located on the sunny side of Big Bear Lake - one block from the lake, minutes to ski stations, lake, hiking in the San Bernadino Forest, zoo, golf and shopping/dining in the Village... near by bike, Sup, kayaks & boat rentals. Dogs may be allowed on request - must be discussed first. No cats, sorry. We do charge a flat pet fee on $50/stay. Come enjoy this Winter Wonderland! The whole home, front deck, yard surrounding home with ample parking for multiple cars. The cabin's exterior is monitored by security cameras. BBQ on deck for your grilling pleasures. Sheets, pillows, blankets and towels are provided. We will do our best to make your stay memorable and enjoyable! We are always available via text or phone. Big Bear Phoenix Chalet is quiet, yet is centrally located and close to the lake, hiking, and skiing. It's part of the upscale residential neighborhood of Whispering Forest which is extremely clean and safe. We kindly ask you to treat our home like your own - that’s the way we travel as well and if everyone is respectful of one another, we all have a great experience! *Please take off all shoes & boots at the front door. No muddy shoes allowed in the house. *Guest is responsible to clean up any mess brought into the cabin with mud, snow etc... Otherwise there will be an additional charge of $25 or more depending on the mess or damage. *Residential neighborhood: we have very sweet neighbors so please be respectful of them. No loud noise outside after 8pm, no open fires and no excessive music. *Check-out time is 11am and Check-in is 4pm...please note that we won't have flexibility on this during mayor holiday times *Please turn off all the lights, close windows and turn heater to 55 degrees in the winter months prior to checking out. *Please turn off the propane on the barbecue and scrub down the grill & cover it back up before you leave. Otherwise there will be an additional $25 charge. *If candle wax, glitter, silly string, confetti, red wine, vomit, blood or any unusual mess left to clean up, guest will be charged $150 per incident. *Lost keys - If a key is lost there will be a charge of $150 to cover the cost of a lock smith to come out and exchange all locks. *Trash - Please remove all of your trash from the cabin and put it in the outside bins. If they are full, either take it down the mountain with you or dispose it at one of the address listed below. PUBLIC TRASH DISPOSAL There is residential trash service in our area. However, we ask our guests to take their trash to a near-by trash dump at the end of their stay on their way down the mountain in case the bins are full. The City maintains two public trash sites for trash and recyclable disposal to serve both residents and visitors. Tucked away in Topanga (yet only minutes from town) sits Chandler Farms, a 500 sq ft cabin. Recently remodeled, the cabin is a perfect mix of rustic & luxury featuring a private deck with a hammock facing breathtaking views and a massive walk in shower. A newly remodeled guest cabin with a private front yard and a huge private deck overlooking the canyon. A gorgeous 2 person bathroom with double sinks and a spa style shower with a bench and skylight. Raw hard wood ceilings with rustic touches makes this a unique yet comfy space. Just a 2 minute drive from rustic Topanga and 10 minutes from the beaches of Santa Monica and Malibu, we are also directly across the street from Topanga state park, the largest tract of park land in Los Angeles. Trailhead is within walking distance with access to miles of trails of varying difficulty. Red Rock Canyon is also 5 minute drive. Over the ridge to the Valley is 12 minute drive with access to all modern shopping amenities and restaurants. Its really up you. We are a super chill couple with years of airbnb experience as both hosts and guests. Your space is your own private area that is connected to the main house by a short trail. We are always available to help with advice about the area or to just hang out and trade travel stories. Topanga is a special place that has been occupied by native americans for hundreds of years. They chose this area for its lush vegetations, calm winds and dry temperate climate. The moisture comes up the canyon every morning and evening to feed the vegetation. It truly is a mountainous paradise within proximity to all LA has to offer. The people are a laid back mix of musicians, artists and film makers from all over the world. You can literally get lost in the maze of meandering roads and trails that give sight to the eclectic architecture and natural vistas. Everyday the weather is near perfect - you have to experience it yourself to fully understand. A rental car is a must in LA. You can use LYFT or UBER to get to and from the city but it is not as convenient as having your own wheels. A taxi can be taken from LAX or Burbank airports to the cabin. Mountain biking and hiking are great ways to explore the area. Several trails originate near our home and can be taken all the way down to the coast. Topanga Creek Bicycles is just down the street and is one of the coolest bike shops on the west coast. They offer great deals on mountain bike rentals and can give you advice on what trails you should explore for your skill level. The cabin is a guest house on our property with its own parking space. We have 2 driveways so parking is never an issue. The cabin has a kitchen with a fridge, 2 burner range and a microwave. The private deck features a picnic table, a hammock, two lounge chairs and a small propane Weber grill. Available for any help/guidance! And we love to meet our guests but fully respect their privacy. The cabin is a few minutes' drive to Topanga and some great organic restaurants as well as fun shops. Drive to the beach in Malibu or stay in the area and commune with nature on a hike or bike ride. Topanga Creek Bicycles is just down the street and is one of the coolest bike shops on the west coast. They offer great deals on mountain bike rentals and can give you advice on what trails you should explore for your skill level.

Quietly kept this space in the canyon lends itself to people whom are looking to read, write, relax, unwind, yoga, reflect..... feeling like you want to be on the property hiking all around ( Red Rock Trail Hike 4 min drive ) the property backs to a Creek’s Edge. Mountain View’s everywhere. 10 minute drive to the middle of the canyon brings you to local shops, small local market, artesian restaurants, art galleries and other Topanga staple businesses. Guest have access to the complete guest suite: (Bedroom , bathroom, common living space and kitchenette) Outside table and chairs provide a semi private sitting area as well as deck on roof with Mountain View’s. Washer and dryer in separate area are also available upon request to guest if need be. This property has other units on site.... We live on the property and are welcoming to all. Los Angeles and it’s surrounding areas have great public transportation and Uber and Lyft do come in and out of the canyon but a car is a must given our proximity to outside areas. *** important to know: the Driveway is a little steep. The first time you come down can be a little daunting. Feel free to find parking at the top of the property first time down, or trust that you have plenty of space to turn around and park in front of your rental***

Guests love our location and the views leave you recharged and relaxed! Suncatcher is a place to relax, and have fun under the happy rays of the Mojave sunshine. Experience an intimate trip for two, or spread out with a group throughout the four separate sleeping areas. Enjoy striking desert views from the private backyard as you splash in the cowboy tub, gather around the fire pit, or swing in a hammock. We come out and use the house ourselves often so we have outfitted the home with lots of love and conveniences for cooking. We have a game and book library for you to enjoy during your stay- we think the desert's the perfect place for a digital detox ;) Access to the House and private Backyard with Cowboy tub :) ! Our property manager is near by and ready to assist :) The house is located between the Joshua Tree National Park entrance and Pappy & Harriet's in nearby Pioneertown—a 10-minute drive to either place. There's a market down the road, as well as a yoga studio, coffee shops, and adorable antique stores. The best way to get around is with a car - Uber and Lyft both service the house as it's on a paved road, so if you're planning on partying at The JT Saloon or Pappy's ride share will still be an option for getting back to the house. We do have security cameras at the house entrances. You are welcome to have family and friends gatherings in the space but please treat it with care - it is a special place to us we use often ourselves and not just a hotel to us.

This light and airy hideaway was designed and built by the host incorporating her own handiwork in art and furnishings. Initially a granny flat, it's been transformed into a comfortable and spacious hang out. Its central location makes it ideal to explore the area. There is plenty to do on site; barbecue, play corn hole or horseshoes have fun with games and cards kept in the hall, enjoy the pool and hot tub in the warm season. May to Sept. The twin beds can be easily configured to a king bed. Price includes a 13% local occupancy tax. Your cottage opens up to the pool area which maybe available during the summer months but not guaranteed as this pool is too deep for kids to stand in. There is also a hot tub open from March to Dec. So the key to open the pool is subject to conversation. The pool is shared with us. No parties please. This is a non smoking property. We love dogs but we can not allow pets brought in. We have a large dog and cats. We kindly ask for slow driving up and down driveway as the animals are slow to move as they own the space. These are accommodations you wont find at a hotel. We are not one, this is our home we are opening to share with you. We are next door most times if you have any questions otherwise we will respect your privacy. The guest house sits on three acres with the main house where the host lives with her husband. It is just one and a half miles to the freeway and town. Four minutes to restaurants and grocery stores. There are chickens, 2 baby gosts, and a rabbit on the property along with cats and a large dog, Jules, who is sure to greet you. The pool will be opened to guests that can swim only as the shallow end is quite deep. Opened when the temperature increases in the summer months. A cold pool is no fun to swim in. The hot tub is open in March to Dec. Contact hosts if plan to use.

Studio by the Beach with Separate Entrance

Open the sliding door to let the gentle sea breezes waft in and settle down to stream a favorite show on the Smart TV. The interior blends coastal touches with boho chic, and there are little luxuries like a work space and secluded private outdoor space. I adhere to the CDC cleaning protocols. I use UV C light for added disinfecting and sanitizing of the Studio, and have also added a Dyson air purifying fan and heater to insure you have clean air. This studio is located on the first floor of my three story home. The studio shares the first floor with the garage so you don't have any shared walls. You have two windows, one in the bathroom and a sliding glass door in the bedroom, they bring in light and the sea breeze but have no views. While this studio is private you may hear footsteps above, music drifting in from other parts of the house, and the sounds that come from everyday living. You'll have one parking space available on the right side of the driveway. More free parking is usually available at the end of the street, 15 houses down on panama. During the day there's extra parking at kiddie beach. I live on the two top floors of the house so i'm easily accessible for as much or as little interaction as needed. The setting on a quiet street is only half a block from channel Island harbors Kiddie Beach and 1.5 blocks to Silver Strand Beach, a popular surf spot and vantage point for catching the sunset. Watch for whales and discover a yoga studio, corner market, and salon, all only moments away. Hollywood by the sea has unique sounds too. You'll hear sea lions, boat horns, and on occasion a fog horn. Every morning at 8am you'll hear our national anthem, and at sunset you'll hear taps. You'll have to pay attention or you'll miss it. It's one of many thing I love about this area.

Most guests say they wish they could stay longer! And they love being able to walk to the restaurants and shops on Main St. We are right in the center of so many things to do! And when you come back to your home base you can enjoy the soothing colors of this freshly remodeled studio apartment. Light blocking shades and window sound package greatly diminish outside noise while being only one block from Main Street. Relax on the super comfy dual recliner sofa. Air conditioner, heater, 42 in. flat screen TV, Roku player and WIFI. Shower /tub combo. King sized bed. Kitchenette has microwave, under counter refrigerator/freezer, Keurig coffee maker, toaster and other necessities. Continental breakfast provided in fridge for your first morning. Coffee, tea, milk, hot and cold cereal stocked. Off street parking provided. Private entry. Laundry available on request. You are welcome to use the deck. The studio is separate from the residence so there can be as much or as little interaction with hosts as you would like. We are happy to be available to assist you in any way and we hope you will love this area as much as we do. The property is right in the middle of California's beautiful Central Coast, with proximity to wineries, beaches, dining, shopping, and historical sites. The home sits halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The nearest airport is in San Luis Obispo, 30 miles away. The Amtrak train depot is 5 miles away in Paso Robles. Bus service is available along the Hwy. 101 corridor. We are within walking distance to a variety of restaurants. We have small markets, wine tasting, gift and coffee shops. Just three blocks away is the Templeton Park where there is a wonderful Saturday morning Farmer's Market. We also have a Trader Joe's in town.
