What you get at the Borderers. A very personal and warm welcome from a great host, a lovely room with all you will need, a fantastic breakfast with all locally sourced wonderfully cooked food, and delicious home made and baked bread (thank you Blodwyn). You also get great conversation with Gail, informing you all about the local area. Gail and Kevin started off what was a great weekend. We will definitely be back.

The stay with Samantha was great! As the hostess, she was very nice and always responded quickly and kindly to our messages in advance. We also really liked the room. It was cosy (especially the bed!), clean and we had everything we needed. She also provided tea and coffee and a kettle in the room. There was crockery and a small fridge in the hallway. The accommodation is located in a quiet residential area and the city centre is about a 10-minute walk away. Overall, a clear recommendation! :)

Jacqueline was a superb host, really friendly and helpful. We arrived quite early and she was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early. The room was exactly like the pictures and very well situated to fistral beach.

From the moment we booked Jacqueline gave us a phone call to check in with us and introduce herself ahead of our travel and check in. We experienced heavy traffic on the way down and Jacqueline was so helpful whilst we kept her updated and even stayed up late until we arrived. On top of this she still went out of her way to get us some lovely banana cake and a beer. The rest of the weekend we got left to it but always knew where to go if we needed anything. Coming and going from the property was very easy. Lovely walking distance from beaches and town. Parking can be a little difficult but there are lots of surrounding streets to park on all within walking distance to the property. On check out morning it was super easy too and once again Jacqueline was so lovely. Lovely place to stay and when we return to Newquay we would definitely stay again. Thank you ❤️

We had a great stay with Jackie at Smarties, short walk to fistral and Newquay town! Excellent breakfast in the morning. Jackie made us feel so welcome and is great fun! Would recommend and stay again!

Room was really nicely decorated and larger than picture looked, also very clean and warm and the bed was extremely comfortable (I have a bad back so that was a huge help) staff were lovely too, the place is great for getting into Oxford city which I hadn't realised (walking distance to the railway station) - highly recommend and plan on coming back with my missis to visit Blenhiem palace properly as I was really impressed with that too

Well well well what can i say? A true hidden gem with a fantastic host. We were so lucky to stay in the room ‘Little Fistral’ triffic little spot. Thanks to Jackie & co (woof woof) for the banana bread and beers on arrival. What a crazy night that followed. Would highly recommend Little Fistral to any young budding surfer boys looking for a spacious retreat. Yours truly Ogres & High Elf Surfs up

Angela and Kevin are the most friendly and welcoming hosts. Their hotel is a proper gem, such a peaceful place in beautiful surroundings. There's so much history to this cosy hotel! But really it was the two of them that make it, their warm and personable demeanour's make you feel so welcomed! The home cooked meal was super tasty too! We will stay again if ever in the area in the future- thank you very much!

The inside of this property was stunning, really great space that had everything we needed with a lovely comfy bed. The outside space was perfect to sit looking at the beautiful scenery, and there was the added bonus of a hot tub that was clean and so relaxing to sit in. The property is attached to a friendly, welcoming pub. Anja was a perfect host, friendly and quick to reply to any queries. This property was a gem of a find.

Peaceful, clean and luxurious. The perfect balance of modern luxury and traditional building, warm friendly staff and great atmosphere. Tastefully renovated bathroom and nicely furnished.

Rassie and the staff at Host are extremely hospitable and generous. The location is SO central to anything you want to do and it really feels like your own private retreat within the heart of St Ives. The room itself is just as pictured and described (amazing), and made for a really comfortable getaway. The private car parking space is a fantastic bonus, and just as close to Host as the equally close train station, so both travel options are great depending on your preference. Rassie was the stand out to my stay and made me feel incredibly welcome - I will definitely be returning!

Had a great stay at Jacobs place, precise and easy check in. The room was spacious and clean, a nice kitchen space if you want a cuppa, and shops just around the corner
