Kid-friendly holiday rentals in South Historic District, Savannah

I loved my stay at the Victoria House in Savannah. Victoria is a wonderful host!!! She's friendly, engaging, and helpful. The house is spotless - super clean and organized. It was a great week - wonderful to have a washer and dryer at the property, the kitchen was great, so we didn't have to eat out for every meal. The bed was super comfortable. The only small drawback is that it is on a busy street, especially during commuting times in the AM and PM. So, as long as you are okay with that, then this is the PERFECT place to stay in Savannah.

Great, spacious place! Kids didn't have to fight for the top bunk! Wonderful location to downtown Savannah, easily walkable.

This place was fantastic—super clean, with a charming little kitchen and an awesome shower with great pressure and hot water. The whole space felt recently updated, fresh, and very comfortable. The AC was ice cold, which was a huge plus during the warmer days. Parking was a non-issue, super easy and convenient. The location was perfect—quiet, safe, and a great jumping-off point for everything we wanted to see and do in Savannah. If I had to nitpick anything, it would be the internet—it was a little spotty, especially on rainy days when we considered staying in to stream a movie or two. But honestly, that’s not why we came to Savannah, so it really didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Everything else was truly perfect, and we’d absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

We had an amazing stay! Loved the sunroom in particular and the location. It’s right in between the beach and downtown. We hope to come back again one day :) thanks for being part of our vacation!

This was our second stay, and it was just as wonderful as the first. Walkable to many great restaurants and in a quiet neighborhood. Would absolutely stay a third time.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautifully designed retreat! The space was immaculately clean, thoughtfully decorated, and felt even more spacious and serene than the photos suggest. Every detail—from the comfortable bedding to the well-equipped kitchen—was clearly chosen with care. The setting is private and peaceful, perfect for unwinding. We especially loved spending time on the patio in the mornings and evenings. Communication with the host was seamless, and check-in was a breeze. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a stylish, quiet escape with modern comforts. We would absolutely stay here again!

We and our 2 small dogs really enjoyed the courtyard - we loved having our dinners and breakfasts there. It’s a great feature because the dogs could be off leash and just enjoy their time beside us. The place perfectly captures the spirit of historic Savannah but with modern amenities. The water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom sink upstairs are a bit on the low side but that’s expected from a historic home. Kroger grocery store is just a couple of blocks away and had everything we needed to cook, stay in and watch a movie. Thank you for your hospitality, Joyce and Miss Eva, the housekeeper!

What a cute spot! Decorated so fun and a very quiet private place to stay. There was a welcome bag of snacks and even a game to play set out on the table. A lovely stay amd I would stay here again.

EXCELLENT place to stay for a visit to Savannah. Private parking, walkable to a Krogers with a Starbucks. Linda as a host was superb. Responsive (met me at the check in and did a quick walk through) and noted to communicate if I needed anything. The listing notes "cozy", but the floor is spacious with new and spotless appliances. Bedroom had plenty of space and closet space. A very good place to stay with a wonderful host. Highly recommend.

Amanda and Drew’s place was super cute with a great location. They were very thorough with their instructions and gave great recommendations for things to do in Savannah. I would absolutely recommend staying there!

We had a great stay! The place was very clean, perfect size for three people. Mary was great, she gave lots of good recs. Beds were comfortable (and I'm usually picky). The bathroom was clean (and, again, I'm usually picky). No bugs, even in humid & rainy Savannah March weather. Only thing to consider is the sidewalk is brick and very bumpy, may not be suitable if you have reduced mobility/use a wheelchair/scooter. Twin beds had 2 pillows each, queen bed had 4 pillows. 5 towels were provided, as well as shampoo and conditioner (no body wash as I recall). The great thing is that Kroger is a stone's throw from the house! Very convenient. 10/10, definitely recommend!

Garry place is 100% what you would expect to stay in when you are staying in Savannah. The river shops and restaurants are all in walkable distance. Forsyth Park is a great place to hang out and there a restaurant in the park which is a great place to have lunch. The neighborhood is the perfect picture of that old Savannah charm if that is what you are looking for. I would recommend garry place to anyone that want that true Savannah experience.

We had in total of four of us. The area was very clean and the balconies were beautiful. It’s a historical home and it still had all the historic charm which we loved! At first, I was worried about the street parking but it was a breeze to park no matter what time of day. I messaged the hosts a few times and they were very responsive. We did have a problem with figuring out the temperature of the shower but that was user error on our end. Shower had beautiful water pressure. We overall had a great stay :)

Such an ideal location! The space is located right on Forsyth Park behind a private gate. Everything you could need is within walking distance. There is easy and free street parking surrounding the property if you come with a car. Deborah’s place was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed. I would definitely stay there again!

Great location, very clean, and great design!

Loved staying here. Less than $10 to uber to River street. Very close to Kroger and pretty much everything in downtown Savannah, but just off the path enough to feel at home. The street parking is plenty, free and safe. Plus the bathroom was so spacious, it felt luxurious. Would love to stay again next time we come. First time in Savannah and the charm is unmatched. We loved staying at Sarah’s place for our daughter’s SCAD graduation weekend. It was really convenient, loved having the parking space off the street.The space is also perfect, most importantly enough seating in the family room for everyone comfortably!! We also appreciated the little amenities such as the coffee and snacks. Wish we had discovered it sooner in our career as SCAD parents. Highly recommend.

This place was exactly as described and in an amazing location! It was so convenient to explore the different districts and feel like a local! Brendan was incredibly responsive and had an incredible list of recommendations while we were there!

We stayed here for our son’s graduation and cannot believe we didn’t find this place until he was leaving Savannah! This is a fantastic location. In the midst of everything but due to the unique location it is also very quiet. Amazing views of the bridge. Walkable to absolutely everything you can think of. For graduation it was a breeze to walk down to the ferry to the Convention Center. Loved it! Communication A+!

We had a very nice stay. Location is great as far as being able to walk to what we wanted to do. Unit is very clean and well stocked and we appreciated the coffee! As others have noted it is on a very noisy street. But we had read the reviews and packed earplugs so sleep was not an issue.

We got really lucky finding this place. The location was phenomenal! You could literally walk everywhere. We didn’t think the outside noise was loud and didn’t have any issues sleeping. Alyssa was very responsive and helpful with her recommendations.

This studio apartment is incredibly well located in downtown Savannah, walking distance to the waterfront and many bars, restaurants, shops, and beautiful squares. It's beautifully decorated, was very clean, and well equipped. I was there mid-week so didn't have issues with noise outside, although you do hear squeeky floorboards, this didn't bother me however. Check in was easy and the hosts were responsive and helpful. One issue I had (which I think is a general problem when staying downtown) was parking, as the city parking lots had system issues and were closed when I arrived. I think most guests will be able to access the parking lot easily though, and it's only a couple of blocks away. Overall I had a great stay, I would recommend to others and would come back in future.

We enjoyed our stay in Savannah. The location is an easy walk to Forsyth Park. Easy, short drive to historic district or areas near River street. Beds are very comfortable. Loved that there is a washer and dryer. Great kitchen!

Had a great two-night stay at Janice’s! The location is great - just a few blocks away from the riverwalk and other great streets with plentiful shopping options. Getting an Uber was always easy when we needed to go longer distances. My favorite thing about Janice’s place was the balcony. It was so much fun to watch all of the carriages and tours go by, and I loved hearing the church bells from a few blocks down. Not close enough to wake you up or keep you awake, but close enough to hear and enjoy the sounds. I would live in a studio like this if I could! Hope to be back. Thanks for everything, Janice!
