The apartment is incredibly atmospheric and beautifully located by the water, overlooking the fjord. It is furnished with everything you could possibly need and Joannes has antipated every need (including the provision of razors, shaving cream, medical kits etc). The aesthetics of the apartment are second to none...it is calm, sophisticated but striking in its presentation and the harmony it has with the surroundings. The apartment is also very conveniently located being within walking distance to most sites on Vagar, in front of public transport and with street parking. That said, the best feature of the apartment is Joannes himself. Not only is Joannes an immensely agreeable individual, he is genuinely friendly, helpful and a source of an abundance of local information and history. Joannes is Faroese and proudly so...his family has a long history on the island - Joannes kept us spellbound, conveying stories of the region, customs and history. We are incredibly glad to have met him.

Perfect accommodation in all respects: located near the main sites to visit, next to a supermarket open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., opposite a cafe/restaurant, quiet, well-equipped, well-heated, independent access with all the necessary instructions, exchanges with Finnbjørn easy because very responsive. We highly recommend this accommodation for all travellers to the Faroe Islands. Thanks again to Finnbjørn for his hospitality.

Our stay at Nicolas’s was perfect! Lots to do around the area. We would definitely stay here again and hope to. Niclas right off the bat sent a hello and detailed instructions and recommendations once we booked. Fast responses during our visit for recommendations. Very friendly and welcoming. Heidi's tiny house was very charming and a great starting point for us to explore Vágar. She was a very kind host and always responded quickly and helpfully to our questions. The tiny house is well equipped and you will find everything you need. We would totally recommend it!
