Holiday rentals with a patio in Somerset

We had a perfect stay at Madeline’s flat when we visited to go to Longleat for the weekend. Madeline was a helpful and responsive host and we were able to get into the flat easily. It’s a lovely place - clean, comfortable and perfectly kitted out for our stay. The children especially loved the bunk beds and the special touches in their bedroom. We didn’t get much time to spend on the terraces (private and communal) but they are both very inviting. The block is very quiet and within walking distance to the charming town centre. Would definitely stay here again!

Place was clean and tidy, easy to wind down and relax after hiking. Had everything I needed for a weekend break. Will definitely come back in the future. Hosts were welcoming and friendly.

Thank you Lucy for allowing me to use your property. It was perfect for what we were looking for. After a day riding enduro motorbikes at the Dave Thorpe Honda School this was the perfect peaceful end to the day and a comfy night's rest. we'll be booking again if we are back in the area.

Great caravan, great location! Literally what it says on the tin! was clean and tidy. More spacious than I thought it was going to be! Sea view, nice relaxed club house, very quiet site. Sam & Jake were fantastic hosts, emailed me before hand with local info, food recommendations, taxi info. instructions on arrival easy to follow, access easy. We even arrived early and were able to check in! had a very small issue with gas/boiler, Sam & Jake responded within minutes and the issue was fixed promptly with no waiting around! Thank you very much guys!

When we arrived, we had a very warm welcome from Joanna, who I must say, went above and beyond our expectations. The apartment was absolutely stunning, with a babbling brook right outside the bedroom on a private veranda. We saw an eel, plenty of fish and caught a glimpse of a kingfisher. The lounge is quaint and comfortable with a log burner for those cozy nights, plus a smart TV to relax to. The kitchen is beautifully styled and spacious with equipment to create meals worthy of a restaurant. The bathroom is immaculate. It's a 15 min drive to Glastonbury and pretty much 6 mins to everywhere else locally. The Ring O Bells pub, which is a 5 min stroll up the road, serves lovely food, and the Wookey Hub (local coffee shop and convenience store) is just a little further up the road (opens 9am-3pm). All in all, I'd give this 6 stars if it were available and would definitely book this again. Thank you Joanna for a lovely stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely little countryside studio apartment. The setting was incredibly peaceful, surrounded by nature, it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The apartment itself was spotless, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making it feel welcoming. Lydia was a fantastic host, friendly, responsive, and very helpful throughout my stay. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet, restorative getaway. I’ll definitely be back!

Honestly it’s been one of the best places I’ve stayed for a mini break. Charlotte is an amazing host and just made staying away from home so much at home and actually made sure we save d a day during our stay to enjoy this place. We will definitely return to Little Wishel :)

We loved staying at Emily’s place in Frome, it really stood out within the village yet it was so convenient to walk to nearby restaurants and particularly visiting Bath and Longleat as we had intended. If you message Emily beforehand, she has great recommendations on hand. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, in any season.

Great host, easy to communicate with. Very kind and caring. Lovely place, the pictures don't do it justice as it is in fact a lot bigger in persan than it seems in pictures. Beautifully maintained and a lovely big garden. We had everything we could have possible needed for a weekend away. Would recommend and book it again.

We fell in love with the house , location and facilities as soon as we arrived. It had everything we needed , the children loved it , from playing tennis, skittles to bar football and stories by the wood burner before bed. Everything was there for us, a separate table in the games room for arts and crafts and games to lovely comfortable furniture outside looking across to the sheep , the children loved the opportunity to be able to walk around the field with the sheep, with one of them saying "this is the best holiday ever" and another saying " this is the best day of my whole life". Thank you Rachel for creating a perfect holiday home where we have made some amzing family memories,

We really enjoyed staying at this place. The house is located in the center of Cheddar only a few steps away from the touristy places, but far enough to not stay right in the middle of it. In summer it is really cool to have breakfast in the patio or to walk to the nearby lake. We loved that every dorm has its own bathroom what makes it very suitable for larger groups. The communication with Andy was very uncomplicated and friendly. The only point we had is that the kitchen is only equipped with smaller pans what makes it a bit difficult to cook for 8 persons. This was our third time staying here. It’s a lovely apartment, beautifully furnished and in a great location. Paul and Wendy are very friendly and helpful hosts. We love coming here to relax and walk. We can safely park up the car on the drive and not have to use it again until we leave, as there are lots of nice places to visit on foot, good restaurants and cafes.

Diana was the perfect host and couldn’t do enough to make our stay just as perfect. The accommodation was pristine and exceeded expectations. The gardens were peaceful and tranquil. I can’t rate this property highly enough and would definitely recommend to anyone seeking a convenient location for surrounding areas. We were there for a wedding so can’t comment on the wider area and what’s on offer.

We had a lovely 2 night stay while visiting Wells (5 minutes away by car). It is beautifully and tastefully furnished with a very comfortable bed (5 stars for the bed as well!). Sally and James are real Superhosts: we felt at home and their responses were always quick and helpful. Very highly recommended for a break in Wells or for enjoying the beautiful Somerset countryside.

We had a great stay. My kids loved the pool and hot tub. The apartment was really nicely furnished, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would look to book again.

Second time I have stayed here and it was. Perfect as the first time. Amazing location and very reasonable price for the area compared to other not so nice places. Everything is walkable. Apartment has everything that you could want. Modern with all the features and items you need for a stress free stay. Will definitely be back again as we visit Glastonbury a fair amount. Felice and Peter were very welcoming to myself and 3 and 5 year old and very understanding of any problems which can occur with young children. The house was very comfortable and decorated with Felice's beautiful art work. A great location in regards to being a lovely ten mins walk to the town along the river. A nice park nearby too which was a plus for the children. A lovely touch having fresh bread, milk, butter and jam provided. Thank you for a lovely stay.
