The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquillity of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside, there is a bedroom and an open-plan living room. Outside there is a kitchen bench, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.

In the summer, you can take the river down to the village of Skarnes, situated on Norway's longest river Glomma. We have a boat, a canoe and a kayak for rent.

Ønsker du deg bort fra mas og kjas et par dager kan Veslestua varmt anbefales. Det er bilvei frem til hytta, som er uten vann og strøm. På vinteren er det muligheter for å sette på ski rett utenfor og gå 200 m til kjørte skiløyper innover i skogen og utover myrene. Fjell følelsen blir ikke bedre, 50 min fra Oslo.
