FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

We (Ingrid and Bill and the cats Tussilago and Pantufa )live on the farm in an old house from the 1750s with separate entrance and parking.

We had an unforgettable time in this little house by the lake! The location is fantastic: right on the water, surrounded by nature and complete tranquility. Letting your gaze wander over the quiet lake in the morning was simply magical. The house is cozy, very clean and furnished with love. Everything you need is available – from the well-equipped kitchen to comfortable beds. The evenings on the terrace with a view of the sunset were particularly beautiful. The host was extremely friendly, helpful and always available. We felt completely comfortable and welcome. If you are looking for nature, tranquility and Swedish idyll, you have come to the right place. We would love to come back and can absolutely recommend this cottage. Thank you so much for this wonderful time!

Beautiful house located in the forest by the lake. Nothing is missing, Josefina was helpful and quickly responded to our doubts. She also gave us special tips on fishing, which were very useful. I can definitely recommend this house.

We had a wonderful time at Anita's. The place was quietly located and absolutely lovingly furnished. It was very clean and everyday items such as coffee, salt, oil, etc. were already available. Our child was also able to have fun, as there were toys as well as a high chair and crib in the house. With the fireplace, we were able to make ourselves really comfortable and we were also able to use as much wood as we needed. The surroundings are a dream and offer many hiking trails and lakes. Anita and Michiel are two great people who always helped us with all our questions and concerns. We felt at home with them and would come back again and again.

The accommodation is great, especially if you are looking for a quiet place. There happened to be a rally during our stay. 🏁🇸🇪 The route was easily accessible with the boat available there.🛶 Another highlight is the sauna. With several saunas, you can really feel at home there. 🔥 All in all a nice stay!
