胡乱座（ウロンザ）の家屋は1897年（明治30年）に建てられました。 京町家と呼ばれる伝統家屋です。 2007年に文化財登録されました。 125年以上前の自然環境や生活習慣や文化に合わせて建てられた建物です。 つまり現代の気候や生活習慣や考え方とは合わない部分が多いです。 失われていく建物に滞在することで、お客様自身が(伝統家屋の「良さ」「悪さ」も含め)見て、触れて、感じて、考える体験型のゲストハウスです。 快適で便利で充実したサービスを求める人には不向きです。 そして静かに過ごしたい人のためのゲストハウスです。
 一般的な宿と違いハウスルールが多いです。
マナーにも厳しいです。 にぎやかに過ごしたい人や、お喋りを楽しみたい人などには不向きです。 コンセプトによりエアコンは設置していません。 夏の暑さや冬の寒さに弱い人にはお勧めしません。 静かに落ち着いた時間を大切にしたい人には好まれます。 1人で運営しているため毎日閉館時間があります(昼12時〜午後4時)。 設備やハウスルールをご同意してからご予約をお願いします。　 非日常となった空間で様々なことを感じて考えてみて下さい。

Higurashi-sou is a small guest house with 5 guest rooms only. This room is called 'Yamabuki' with the view of kiwifruit vines, which has unique Karakami paper doors with hand-drawn gourd vine and flying butterflies. Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee.
