Awesome traditional Japanese house. Natalie is a super friendly host who is not just always ready to answer your queries but also proactive in anticipating your needs like garbage disposal which must be collected by the host as well as providing recommendations and helping with bookings on great local restaurants.

This home is a unique restored traditional Japanese shop house. We loved the feel of the place and my 11 year old son especially loved climbing up to the loft! The house is in a quiet area but close to a wide variety of good restaurants (we especially liked Goya and would recommend it without hesitation) and also a very short walk away from the beautiful and not overly crowded Higashiyama Jisho-ji which is well worth the visit. We had excellent communication with the host. All in a great stay and we strongly recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our stay in this house. There is the historic part of the house and the modern part where there are two European style rooms with very comfortable beds. The downstairs had three Japanese style rooms that were very comfortable. It was very nice to sleep on both the beds and the Japanese futons. The host was very pleasant. He helped us order sushi from the best restaurant in the area. We had a nice walk and a delicious dinner in the evening. Thank you for a wonderful experience at your estate!

A very warm and welcoming host, he made us feel right at home. The house itself was very cozy!! Additionally, it was very clean and had everything we needed :) very good location as it was near many yummy restaurants and close to the station which took us right into the city.

房间很大，住四五个人没问题，二楼两间很大的卧室，如果人多，一楼也可以住榻榻米，房源很大，真的不错！步行到伏见稻荷5-8分钟。很安静。

Yasuhiko san was waiting for us when we arrived and explained everything about the place in careful detail, and provided what turned out to be great recommendations for a bakery and a grocery store, both nearby. The staircase, as he warned us ahead of time, is quite steep -- my older friends preferred to stay downstairs; I used the upstairs bedroom and found it easier to use the staircase by walking down backwards like a ladder -- it is quite steep. The area is very busy with tourists, many foreign, and both the bakery and the grocery had more non-Japanese than Japanese when we visited -- I suppose this is to be expected so close to Gion. But in short, the place was wonderful, as was Yasuhiko.

Super logement! 15 min à pieds de la gare. Bus très proche au besoin. Suffisamment spacieux pour 2 couples, une salles d’eau, une salle de bain, 2 toilettes séparés, une grande cuisine conviviale. Tout cela permet de bien vivre sans se marcher dessus! Séjour très agréable. Je recommande.

We had a lovely time at Miro’s bnb. The house was beautiful and had a traditional Japanese feel, perfect for a trip to Kyoto. The house is in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, though still close enough to walk to local attractions. I would highly consider booking here again.

We enjoyed our stay here, very quiet with comfortable futon with AC in each room. She allowed us to drop our bags before check in which was really helpful so we didn’t have to use storage lockers. Walking distance to Gion.

The hosts are very attentive, showed us around at the check in and visiting places. They even showed us where to park by driving us to the parking area. They provided great amenities . Room is clean and neat. Will definitely come back when we travel to Kyoto again.

We had a wonderful experience staying here! We walked mostly everywhere, but the bus and trains were very convenient. The house was very comfortable, beds and pillows/comforters were really nice. The instructions were very thorough. We used the washing machine to cleaned our clothes and there was a small dryer which is unusual for an Airbnb in Asia. I would highly recommend this place. Definitely one of the nicer places we’ve stayed in. The steps upstairs are a little narrow, only if you have someone with problems climbing would I say it may be a problem. For us no issue.

This place was amazing! So spacious, very clean and well maintained, and it was perfect for the peace and quiet my husband and I were looking for after a week in Shibuya/Tokyo. It is exactly as the photos and description provided. It is situated in a residential neighborhood which was about an 11 minute walk from Kyoto station. There is a train line nearby but it only runs north and south and does not go to Kyoto station. This line was convenient to get to Gion, where we ended up spending a lot of our time. Checkin was very easy and instructions were incredibly clear. Host was responsive to all of my messages and questions, and provided accommodations when my husband began experiencing bad allergies. I would certainly recommend this Airbnb!

The Kanon Guest House was a beautiful home. The host was very responsive to my questions and concerns. Upon arrival, it was a little hard to find with different alleyways and that small curtains were covering the “Kanon Guest House” sign that hangs above the door. Other than this downside, the inside of home was already arranged. There were many labels in English on many of the electrical switches and the bidet. There was a little dust that had collected in the corners, but nothing to be concerned about. Overall, I had a great experience at the Kanon Guest House and with the host.

This Airbnb is very beautiful, very comfortable and a complete treat to stay in. You can say it’s good or bad, but it is located right next to the most heavily visited part of the town. You can easily avoid the crowds though because it is on the edge and you can walk to many of kyotos most lovely areas.

Lovely stay with a large group. We all had plenty of space and felt right at home! Great location - walkable to so many sights and in a super quiet neighborhood. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Had a wonderful stay. The location is great, very convenient to Higashiyama’s best walking neighborhoods. Loved the charm of the alleyway leading to the property and quiet setting. Nice layout inside.

入住的时候出现了点困难，根据谷歌地址到达后怎么也打不开钥匙盒，随后步行百米才找到正确的房屋。选择这家的理由是因为装修风格特别符合我的审美，实际跟图片一模一样。美中不足的是，室内有很多巨大的蚂蚁，希望可以改善。周围很安静，适合睡眠不好的人，几十米就有便利店和超市。

We loved our stay. The place was perfect for our family of three. It was a beautiful, modern space, with a lovely view of the creek. We were also very fortunate to be there when the cherry tree off the patio was blooming. The location was perfect and close to many restaurants and the Gion district. I couldn't imagine a better place for our first visit to Kyoto.

A fantastic and peaceful place to stay if you want to escape the crowds of Kyoto, while still being in easy transport links. Highly recommended!
