Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Shelby County

I really enjoyed my stay at Annie’s AirBNB. It was right near Rickwood Field in Birmingham, which I was visiting for a few days. The area itself was a little sketchy, but I felt at home once I checked into her place. She was very communicative when I arrived and throughout my stay. She made everything seamless before, during and after my stay. Her place was super cozy, and I wished I could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this especially if you are trying to visit Rickwood. It is within easy walking distance of the field and also a small drive to the main city.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great central location for the things we wanted to do. Great walking park nearby. The house was clean and as described. We’d stay again.

The place was absolutely amazing. Very peaceful and private. The lake was great with wonderful opportunities to fish.

The location was very quiet and secluded but so close to so many things. Having two bedrooms with attached bathrooms was great for my stay. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home , well maintained, modern up to date appliances, close to highways, and supermarket, beautiful neighborhood and yard. Very responsive host. Enjoyed our stay while we were there for my son’s graduation from The University of Alabama.

We had a wonderful stay at Milcarleny's home! The house was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and so thoughtfully arranged. The walk in showers were absolutely gorgeous, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the coffee bar was cute. You can tell a lot of care and attention went into making this a welcoming space. I noticed some previous reviews mentioned concerns about the neighborhood. I'll admit, at first glance, it felt a little unfamiliar there were people in the yard nearby with a pop up tent selling food, which caught us off guard. But honestly, everyone we encountered was friendly and respectful. Once that initial apprehension wore off, we felt completely comfortable and safe throughout our entire stay. It's important to point out that the condition of surrounding properties isn’t a reflection on Milcarney, her place is a gem. It is updated, adorable and clearly well cared for. We appreciate the effort she put in this place. Would stay here again!

Nice place. Clean and cozy. Close to Met Center. The shower in master bedroom is small and tight. Other than that, great place. I would stay there again.

Such a wonderful vibe! I stayed during a teacher training. The train wasn’t bothersome at all. I felt safe and secure traveling here alone. I could hear things from the upstairs here and there but when I realized it was a dog(s), it was as if I didn’t hear it as much after realizing. I will be back FOR SURE!

Raquel was very attentive and promptly addressed my inquiries. I had problems with parking and the Latch App, which I was unfamiliar with, and Raquel provided clear explanations for everything. She ensured that I felt comfortable and satisfied throughout my stay. The location was peaceful, tidy, and just a short walk from UAB. I also really enjoyed the Nespresso coffee; it was a significant bonus for me!

Great place to stay in Birmingham, gym was very nice too.

Mei's apartment was in a great location if you enjoy being in the heart of the city like we did. Inside was simple, clean and the perfect spot to come back to from a day out. We'd definitely stay here again!

It was a beautiful place with the tallest ceilings I've ever seen! It's in a really cute little shopping district with a coffee shop only a few blocks away. We really enjoyed our time here and will try to stay here again next time through Birmingham

The place is very accommodating. Has everything that you need like kitchen essentials, bathroom essentials, etc! He even offered yummy snacks. Charles offered the best hospitality. He is very responsive. The house was super clean, and free of clutter. The beds were comfortable, spacious rooms. Definitely worth every penny that we spent!

The condo itself was the nicest and most well stocked/furnished Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The space looks exactly like the photos. It was clean. There were great amenities. It was close to downtown which was convenient for a business trip. The only very minor suggestion I have is to consider stocking shampoo and shower gel. There were so many other things available like coffee, coffee flavorings, laundry detergent and lotion that it seemed odd not to have shower basics. But overall I would stay here again if I have to return for work.

Carol’s place was clean and well appointed. She was very responsive and also accommodated late check in. There isn’t much around but it’s about a 15 minute easy walk to the convention center.

It was so nice. We loved the location because we love Homewood! The place was very comfortable and beautifully furnished!

We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Hoover. This place is super clean, safe, and roomy. It is in a nice location that is convenient to everything you need.

It was in a great location. In walking distance of great restaurants. It was a nice and quiet neighborhood. I definitely would rent it again and recommend it to anyone.

Condo was perfect for our weekend visit. Lauren gave great recommendations for restaurants & shopping. She was very easy to communicate with. Fell in love with Homewood, such a quiet peaceful place. I even sat outside on the rock wall in the fern garden & read while the rest of my crew napped. Will definitely reach out to Lauren again when planning our next visit.
