Castleton lies on the western edge of the Hope Valley, within sight of Mam Tor and the limestone canyon of Winnats Pass. Walking straight from the room into the gorgeous Peak District finishing off with a drink and meal in one of many walkable local pubs. The building dates from the 18th Century and was originally the main farm in the village serving Wortley Hall, the ancestral home of the Earl of Wharncliffe.
