Location in a quiet lane but once we turned out to the Main Street which is 3 mins away , everything was at our fingertips . The residence is neat & looks exactly like the photo . The kitchen has adequate pots, pans and utensils but the kitchen knives need to be sharpened. The staff is responsive and we enjoyed our stay .

A great spot for anyone wanting to experience Edinburgh without being in the city center. Located in a more residential area near the university, we loved getting a less tourist-forward, more local experience that’s still walking distance to all the great sites. It’s also a short walk from Arthur’s Seat, so it felt like the perfect balance of city and nature.

Great flat in wonderful location. Only drawback was internet reception. Used house wi-fi but no coverage in the bedroom.

Dawn’s flat was perfect for our four night stay! Really well situated, with lots of shops and cafes in walking distance. The flat is well equipped with everything you need and was immaculate on arrival.

Good location, close to restaurants and easily walkable to the old town. I felt like the place had everything needed for my stay. Valentina was incredibly responsive and helpful with all my questions providing recommendations and resources. I would stay here again on a future trip to Edinburgh!

This is a great little flat in a perfect location to explore Edinburgh. It is 5 minutes or so walk to Haymarket Station where you can get train, bus or tram to anywhere you wish including the City Centre, Murrayfield and Airport. Flat was accurately described. I admit I was a little anxious about the entrance as the Nuki system was new to me but it was perfectly explained and is a great way of having a secure property. I would definitely look to stay here again if I come back to the city.

A perfectly efficient experience compounded by a perfect little apartment. As many Airbnb-ers know, it's difficult to find a perfect place. This apartment is perfect. The check in process is flawless. The apartment is brand new. All the appliances work and work well. All things are as-pictured. Even the sofa bed is comfortable! In terms of value, it may be the best I've experienced on Airbnb. Compact, efficient, and all-around perfect.

We stayed the last four nights of our stay in Scotland at Lorne and Frank’s place and it was a great way to finish off our trip. Their home was absolutely gorgeous and they were great hosts. The one thing that my wife and I commented on over and over again was how comfy the bed was. We loved our stay in Stockbridge which is such a lovely and vibrant neighbourhood and this unit was such a great home base for all our adventurers. There are lots of pubs, restaurants and shopping nearby and city centre is very walkable from this location. There are also lots of bus stops you can walk to quickly to get you to just about anywhere you want to go.

A home away from home ❤️ The house was lovely, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I was travelling with parents and a small child - so split levels meant everyone could have their own space and a big communal area on the ground floor which was perfect for us all. Location was great. A short cab ride into town, but walkable too. Close by to Arthur’s Seat, which is a must to do while in Edinburgh. Karen and Carina are amazing hosts, very responsive and went above and beyond for us. Would highly recommend! Thank you.

The Shiel House was an absolutely stunning and massive property. We visited as a large group of 8 on a golf trip, and this was the perfect Airbnb. It was beyond spacious, with all the amenities a large group would need for a week long stay. The location was great for us with popular golfing destinations like St Andrews and Gleneagles within driving distance, as well as a litany of local courses. We also were within driving distance of Edinburgh with plenty of fine dining options. Tim was a very gracious and helpful host who provided clear instructions on locating the property, as well as a fun treasure hunt that takes you around the property and to local spots. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the property and the host!!

What a beautiful house in stunning surroundings! We were a family of 5 celebrating my mum’s 75th birthday. Upon hearing this the hosts informed us of the stairs in the house in case there were mobility issues, which is very thoughtful. The tranquility of having a stream running by the end of the garden added to the charm. Within walking distance is a small Tesco that we were able to get supplies, and although we didn’t visit them, the local restaurants looked nice. We were met at the house by Kenneth who gave us a tour of the house and was very helpful. The extras provided in the fridge by the hosts was a very thoughtful touch. Overall, a suburb place to spend some time! Thanks for everything and for letting us feel at home in your beautiful home!

The location was perfect. It was in the less crowded west end area and less than a block to the bus stop (which we highly recommend figuring out the system so you can get around quicker). However, you can also walk to old town in 15-20 minutes time. There are many good restaurants and groceries within walking distance. The attached garage was an awesome perk since this was a stop for us in our long road trip.

Great location, clean and good information was provided by our hosts. I would definitely stay here again.

We, a family of five, enjoyed wonderful four nights in the lovely House on the Hill which was exactly as described. A great plus was the tennis court, that was very well received by our children. Walking the dog was a great experience. We used the farm cottage to explore Scottish Borders, Northumberland and of course Edinburgh. We would certainly come back and highly recommend this lovely place!

We had a lovely stay at this Airbnb during our trip to Edinburgh with my parents. The location was excellent—central, safe, and within easy reach of key attractions, public transport, and some great cafes. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made check-in and any small questions really easy to handle. It was a comfortable space for all of us, and we appreciated the quiet surroundings at night. Overall, a great experience—we’d definitely recommend it to others traveling with family!

We had A wonderful stay In Kate’s lovely place. We were A group of six and the appartment was spacious and served us perfectly. The location is excellent with public transportation nearby to all destinations + easy walking distance to/from City center. We will definately want to recommend the Kate’s place!

This place far exceeded our expectations!!! One of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed out. The comfort of the home is amazing and the decor is fun yet homie, yet the architecture was left to amaze and was well preserved. Felt like home right away. The location was great and was an easy walk to the Royal mile and everything else nearby. If returning to Edinburgh I’m booking here again.

This was a great little flat in a lovely area and felt very quiet and relaxing. Not to far from anything at all. I would happily stay there again and will be looking to see if it is available

The apartment was beautiful, with high ceilings and original details, but perfectly updated in the kitchen and bathrooms for a comfortable stay. The peaceful back garden was also a lovely place to drink your morning coffee. It was in a quiet neighborhood a bit away from central Edinburgh, but it was a quick taxi ride to anywhere we needed to go in the city and there were walkable shops (groceries, cafe) in the area for little essentials. Overall it was a great place to stay for a trip to Edinburgh and we’d definitely recommend it to others!

This was a perfect holiday in Edinburgh. The cottage is conveniently located to everything but quiet. The host was extremely attentive to us and even had snacks for us upon arrival. We would highly recommend. Lovely lovely place and host.

Andrew’s flat in Edinburgh is lovely. Nicely decorated, well appointed, and it has everything you need (kitchen, bath, laundry,etc.). Very nice surroundings - parks and location mean it is quiet. Close to restaurants (from fish ‘n chips to Gourmet dining ). A convenient John Lewis if you forgot something, as we did. Good bus service. We hope to return to Edinburgh again and would love to stay again.
