Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Seltjarnarnes

The renovated water tower is a lovely and clean home. There are large sliding doors on each floor that open up to give access to the outdoors or cool off the home. The main bathroom with a shower is located on the ground floor and comes with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There is also a hair dryer and many towels available. The bathroom on the second level was small and could be accessed through the main bedroom. The kitchen was bright and open. There was plenty of seating for the 4 of us, although the bench seat by the kitchen table could be thoroughly washed. Plenty of dishes and kitchen essentials. Washer and drying rack were a pleasant addition to the home and made traveling light easier. The rooms were cozy and the beds are comfortable. The stairs are steep but easy to navigate for our children (ages 7 and 9). The views from inside and from the deck are beautiful. The two birds nesting outside are quite friendly. Earlier guests named them Chuck and Larry.

Hildur and Arnar were superior hosts. After I made the original booking they reached out with lots of information about the stay. They provided restaurant suggestions, parking details and where to go together the. Best prices for groceries. They were responsive throughout our stay. I am a nervous traveler and that really made a huge difference for me. I was able to relax and enjoy the stay instead of stressing about details. The apartment itself is adorable and perfect for a couple. The location is close to everything but in a nice quiet area. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a place in Reykjavík.

What an amazing place. The cottage is located in a beautigful fjord with an uncredibld view towards the sea and mountains partly covered in snow. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Highly recommend staying in this beautiful cottage as it is a great spot to chill, relax and have a great time with family and friends. We will be back. Thank you so much guys! A beautiful place at a beautiful and peaceful location easily accessible to Reykjavik and Thingvellir onwards to Strokkur. The house is clean, and as described. Unnur is easily accessible and respond to queries promptly.

An absolutely stunning lake side villa close to the famous Golden Circle. We used it as our base for a week to explore Iceland with friends. We were two families, with three children in total. The villa is simply stunning, so beautiful and the perfect home away from home. We all loved returning back in the evenings and enjoying the sauna and hot tub. Then the grown ups sat up late to take in the never ending sun outside, snuggled with blankets and fire pit for company. We lost track how many photos we all took of the lake. We also enjoyed our coffee in the morning over looking the lake and running the loop around the lake. Communication was excellent and Telma couldn't have been more responsive or helpful. We 100% recommend and will be back!

100/100 in iceland! The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, even leaving us a handwritten note and it was such a thoughtful touch. also the kitchen was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home. Being escaped from the coldness of iceland, heating worked perfectly, and the cozy, warm atmosphere made the place feel welcoming and comfortable after a day of exploring. The location was in a peaceful neighborhood, and the house was spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax. Staying here made our Iceland experience even more memorable !! Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

Great place for the 5 of us to stay. Convenient location just outside of Reykjavik. Welcoming host. We appreciated having 2 bathrooms.

We absolutely loved this space! it was so close to everything in the downtown area of Reykjavik and the apartment was so cozy. Specifically we found the bed and comforter set to be really comfortable! The shared restroom was also clean and readily available. I highly recommend utilizing this space on your upcoming trip to Reykjavik!

Sigrún was incredibly helpful and was gracious enough to allow us to check in early. She had clear instructions and the place is about 15 mins away from the heart of Reykjavik. The place is right by the water and was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed multiple “sunsets” from the shores. Thanks again Sigrún, we appreciate you and your place and will always remember it for our time in Reykjavik!

Ellen and Edward are excellent hosts, their apartment is as shown in the photos, it is a cozy place. Edward was very attentive to our concerns, they were very flexible with the chekin and chekout , at the time of our arrival we had the great surprise of having cookies, coffee, chocolate. It is very close to bus stops #1 and 15, making mobility easy for all tours. There is a supermarket very close by, along with the restaurant area, we toured the city center walking from the apartment. We really enjoyed this place. We highly recommend it.

Ottar’s apartment was perfect for my stay - I was able to prepare some meals there and not have to dine out all the time. A grocery store is a short walk and finding parking was easy. The apartment is clean and in a quiet neighborhood, which made for a pleasant stay. Óttar was flexible on check-in time and was quick to respond to my questions. A good host and a comfortable, conveniently located apartment!

This was a great place, quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Fredrik was very helpful, responding to my request promptly.

We stayed at Gunnar’s apartment for a week during our visit to Reykjavík. The location was good and pretty central to restaurants and attractions we wanted to visit. We did rent a car which made travel much easier and the parking was abundant and not too expensive. The apartment itself was clean overall although some areas had some dust. No complaints here, it wasn’t a big deal. Gunnar did advertise that the apartment house(d) two cats but as someone with cat allergies I had no problem with any fur or cat dander. FYI, across Iceland the hot water is heated geothermically which gives off a sulfur smell, so don’t be alarmed. Thanks Gunnar, for allowing us to stay at your apartment during the week! Ken + Jenn

The Airbnb was easily accessible and well equipped with washing machine, dryer and fully equipped kitchen. There was also a designated parking spot for your vehicle. Magnus was responsive and extremely helpful in answering any queries. Would recommend this place

Our stay at Audur’s place was great. Amenities were as described and the place was extremely clean and private. It was plenty of space for four.

Really enjoyed our stay! The location was very walkable we did not use our rental car the entire time we were in Reykjavík. Anna was very responsive when we needed help with the door. Great stay thank you again!
