Apartment holiday rentals in Schmalkalden

The location and apartment were great. For two people and a dog really pleasant and everything fit and looked like in the photos. The kitchen is very well furnished and the view from the terrace is beautiful.

Ms. Unbehaun was very friendly and accommodating as a host. We were able to park our bikes safely.

I wasn't on the trip myself, but I can strongly assume from my friend's stories that he had a great time with Holger. That's why I'm giving a very good rating on behalf of the team :)

Our stay was simply great, we felt right at home. The apartment really offers everything you have at home. The bed is a dream😌. Everything is very clean, bright, spacious, even a generous freezer is available. Lots of nature directly within walking distance but also many possibilities to do something by car (Erfurt/Weimar/Coburg) 😊 but even after 1 week stay - the time was far too short. The contact with Nicole and her family was also very nice, you felt welcome right away🤗. We really lacked nothing, definitely worth a visit - be it for hiking, for city trips or simply to relax again. Beautiful and luxurious apartment. Good bed, lovely roof terrace and beautiful bathroom. Distance to the centre is easily reached on foot. Private parking is very convenient. Recommended!

The castle is great for a family reunion. Plenty of space, clean, sufficient dishes and generally well thought-out kitchen equipment. Even toys for children are thought of. We will be happy to come back!

The apartment was absolutely top! Everything was super clean, cozily furnished and well equipped from comfortable beds to towels to linens and blankets. The large bathtub was particularly beautiful! The host was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, especially for hiking lovers right near the Kickelhahnweg. We felt completely comfortable and can only recommend the accommodation!

Mona and Josef's apartment is just wow - certainly one of the most beautiful apartments we've ever been to. It is exceptionally perfect in design, but at the same time very cosy. If it rains and you don't want to do anything - no problem, you can just stay at home and enjoy this wonderful apartment, or take a few saunas and relax on the fantastic terrace. In addition, the hosts are very courteous and attentive - you really feel welcome here - more like a friend than a stranger. Check in Check out was absolutely hassle-free. The area has a lot to offer - we received tips from Josef for varied activities. We had a great time and would love to come back!

We were completely satisfied! The apartment really looked like the photos, high-quality amenities, fair price, friendly communication - even a forgotten headset will be sent to us. Really a pleasure.

Communication with Sandra was always extremely pleasant. The apartment is located in a house with several residential units. The host family itself has several children and is therefore extremely well prepared for the stay with children. As a welcome, the children received a small gift. Top host. There were also a few drinks and a few snacks. In the guest apartment itself, there are various toys, board games and everything a child's heart desires. We had only brought a toothbrush for two of the three children, this was also provided free of charge by the host family. The communication, the service and everything around it makes the host family really very loving and recommendable hosts. if we need a holiday apartment in the area again, we will be happy to come back.

It was a nice stopover on our journey from Hamburg to Garmisch. We felt comfortable and were able to take a nice hike directly from the apartment.

From the pictures we could already guess that we had booked a nice place to stay, yet we were positively surprised when we arrived. The hosts have really created a place for a beautiful vacation here! Our getaway in the fireplace suite was super relaxing. The hosts were very accommodating, which shared with the great (and very clean!) The place made us feel right at home. The location of the property was the perfect base for hikes. Despite the shortness of the holiday and mixed weather in the beginning, we had a great time. In bad weather, you can endure more than well in the hot tub or in front of the fireplace. We would definitely come back!

Walter is a very nice host. We had some last minute changes and we didn't come in the end, but Walter was very understanding and kind. I hope that my colleagues will arrive some other time. I recommend!

Ideal as a starting point for a hike to the Wartburg with a little more time for the Dragon Gorge. The apartment is very nicely furnished and has everything and more than you need. Check-in via the key box went smoothly. We enjoyed the stay very much and would love to come back sometime.

We spent a few wonderful days in Thuringia over Pentecost and can absolutely recommend the accommodation! The apartment was beautifully furnished – modern, cozy and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. I was particularly impressed by the in-house sauna - perfect for relaxing after a long hike through the fantastic natural surroundings. The location is also great: Quietly located, but everything is easily and quickly accessible by car – both beautiful hiking trails and shopping and excursion destinations in the region. We felt completely comfortable and would be happy to come back!
