Bill was an amazing host and incredibly welcoming. His home is positively cosy and unique. It felt like visiting a family friend. He gave us suggestions on where to visit in the area, which were most welcomed. Breakfast in the morning was absolutely outstanding: fresh fruits from the garden chopped up into an amazing fruit salad, creamy yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, strong coffee, home made jams, antipasto and delicious breads and croissants. Certainly made us feel like royalty! Also thoroughly enjoyed meeting Maggie and Izzy, the resident black dogs and official greeting party.

I absolutely loved Fiona’s cottage in Bantry. It is quiet and still only a short stroll to Bantry downtown with shops, pubs and everything. The cottage itself is charming and abundantly equipped. I didn’t meet Fiona, but Caroline helped me with the check-in. Fiona was more than great in her communications: friendly, speedy in her reactions, always to the point and helpful. I spent several days alone hiking on the Beara and Sheep’s Head peninsulas, which was gorgeous. I certainly plan to return with the family (the cottage is perfect for a party of up to 4 people).

Loved it, so homely and had everything we could need for our 3 day stay.
