Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Scarborough

Our son, his girlfriend, my husband and I enjoyed staying at the cottage in late October 2024. The location was quite scenic as it overlooked Casco Bay, near Portland, ME. The host made suggestions that we followed (bringing firewood & blankets). The kitchen was equipped with utensils & coffeemakers. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed walking in the local preserve along the water and took advantage of visiting the Portland Museum of Art and eating at The Honey Paw, an Asian fusion restaurant.

This is our second time staying here in the past month and absolutely one of our all time favorite Air BnBs. It’s modern yet rustic and has a Huge yard even with some little walking trails in the woods. It’s been pristine both times we’ve been there and just looks spotless!! We love the ceiling fans in the home and the comfy large bed!! Our fave is the oversized chair to watch movies in!! We will continue to come back here !!

We stayed at Kathleen’s charming place in and had a wonderful experience. The space had everything we needed and was also perfect for my husband and me to work remotely. I worked from the second bedroom with the daybed, while my husband set up downstairs. The location is within walking distance to everything, and Kathleen gave us some great local recommendations. We’d love to stay again!

This house was perfect for me and my guests! All 7 of us fit perfectly, It didn’t feel too overcrowded! We loved the beautiful view off the deck and the hot tub was an amazing touch! The house was very clean and had everything we could’ve needed. I loved how clear the instructions were for everything and how responsive the hosts are if you need anything!

Everything was as described! Very tranquil setting. Loved sitting on both the sunporch and deck watching the boats go by. The house was immaculate and very well equipped. NIce to relax without the distraction of tv for a change. Enjoyed their Bose radio.. Also the verizon phone /computer connection was excellent. It was a great home base for exploring the mid coast of Maine. Lots of good restaurants near by and the owner offered many heloful hints as to what to see, where to est and what to do. His communication was excellent. Would highly recommend this rental.

Suman was extremely responsive and helpful. She was flexible with check in time, as our flight was arriving early. She was responsive throughout the stay when we had any questions. Our departure flight got delayed, and she allowed us to stay longer. Amazing home, spacious and well maintained, neat and clean. Thanks Suman. Really appreciate everything. Would love to stay here again when we are in Maine.

The house was spotless and centrally located for what we wanted to do in southern Maine. It was well stocked with quality toilet paper, napkins and Kleenex. We had plenty of towels for the hot tub and pool. It is updated and well taken care of. The hosts were extremely helpful and we didn’t see them at all, so the place felt very private. This was an amazing house and our kids had so much fun in the pool and playing corn hole on the large deck. Would recommend this house for families and couples in a heartbeat!

We stayed at Susan’s home and loved it. It was perfect for our party of 6 for a family getaway. Surprisingly spacious and everything was well kept and spotless. Susan is very proactive and responsive as a host and was a pleasure to communicate with. Location is great and is a very short drive to the Old Port area. All around a fantastic find and highly recommend if you’re looking for a place in Portland!

Angela was a fantastic host, responding quickly to any questions. The home was nice, close to downtown, and a HUGE yard for the dogs

Liz & Christina were the most hospitable hostesses! All of the amenities were as described and it was a phenomenal space to enjoy a long weekend. The schoolhouse checked all the boxes for our perfect weekend getaway and it seems like they thought of all the details. 10/10 would stay again!

We loved our stay! A week was not long enough! Very open layout with lots of space. We loved having a washer and dryer! It was a pleasure to talk to Tom! Really a person you could talk to hours for! We left feeling like family, and couldn’t recommend the place more! If you’re looking to visit Maine or even the big city of Portland, I would recommend you look here. Being out in the country sheds a different light on all that Maine has to offer!

We absolutely loved our stay! The home is gorgeous, light and airy, and so comfortable for our group! You can't beat the location across from the beach and quiet street for walking. The pool and hot tub were also so nice. We would highly recommend and would love to stay there again!

Stayed at the Deede’s home for Memorial Day weekend with family and friends. The house was perfect for our group of 5 and had everything we needed. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. We could’ve forgotten all of our toiletries and would’ve been fine with all the supplies the house had. The house is also super close to Portland - only a 10 to 15 minutes drive or Uber into the city. We all enjoyed our stay at Deede’s home and would definitely stay again when in the Scarborough/Portland area.

This Airbnb was so cozy and wonderful it was hard to want to leave. It had everything you could ask for with the most amazing view. It’s also a short walk away from the cutest market that serves that best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Kerry was also super responsive and so friendly! Would rate more stars if I could and would absolutely come back here

Had a lovely stay - Clean, cozy, easy instructions, perfect distance from Portland - Would rent again! Only wish we had gotten to enjoy the backyard chairs and fire pit setup. Comfortably sleeps 7 adults, and 1 little kid bed.

We had a lovely stay. The space is a former recording studio, so very well-insulated. It was so warm and quiet! It's about 10-15 minutes away from downtown Portland, down a pretty quiet residential street, so you're generally getting in your car to go anywhere. Tammy was super responsive and welcoming. Overall a great experience.

Wow! David was so responsive to our last minute booking request. He gave us all of the information we needed. This place has it all! Great records, cards, everything you need for cooking, a wonderful hot tub, plenty of tp (hey some places don't!) There were two of us and our pup. We tried all of the beds, had naps in each one, because hey, it's vacation! They are so comfortable. The linens were clean and more than enough pillows. We drove down to the beach, which was really nice. Our only downside was because of all of the rain, so many mosquitos! Not David's fault of course, but if you come after a rain, bring spray! This place has it all. David made everything easy for our last minute getaway. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us!

We had a delightful time. The cottage was cozy and still had all the modern and amenities. And in a great location set back enough so that it was private but close to the boat launch and the beach and the local restaurants. Definitely a great value.

Great place! Quiet and a quick easy drive to Portland. Fully equipped with everything you might need. Nick and Tamiko are super kind. Checking on me multiple times during my 5 wk stay to make sure everything was going ok and I had everything I needed. Would recommend this stay to any and everyone!
