Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sassi di Matera

This was such a luxury. This cave house was just as described. It was the best shower, the best sleep, the best comfort I have had in my long tour of Italy. Daniella, the host, was so responsive and accomodating, making sure we had everything we needed. I'd recommend this space to anyone I know. If we are fortunate enough to visit this magical city again, this is the home I would choose.

Excellent. We were received with all availability. The house is stupendous, with all the conditions and a fabulous view.

Small apartment with everything you need for a couple of days. Ideal for a couple or friends. We loved the terrace. Best view in the city. We enjoyed our evenings there very much. The place is really easy to find and you are 10 minutes of walking to most of the attractions or restaurants.

Nice to stay in the middle of Matera, you can easily walk to all the sights. It is a spacious beautiful accommodation.

Nice and clean apartment, quiet and very close to the stones. It's like the pictures. We did not meet Alessandro personally but in addition to having always responded immediately via message, he called us as soon as we arrived and provided us with both the contact of a guide and useful information about restaurants and more. Highly recommended!!! If I had to go back to Matera, I would go back right away

Absolutely fabulous location and lovely place to stay ! We were completely wowed by Matera in general and the location and views were incredible . Loved our stay and wished could stay longer …have made a promise to myself I will go back ! The apartment was truely beautiful and we appreciated the little touches of yoghurt cake and juice which we had on the balcony for breakfast before we left. Many Thanks !

I loved staying at this place. The place is decorated and has incredible furniture (I love the atmosphere that all the lamps give), it denotes that the details have been taken care of. Patrizia perfectly indicated me how to get there and although you have to go down some stairs, you soon realize that there are few for the standard of Matera. The view it has is unparalleled and the ease with which you can reach the different points of the historic city makes it easy for me to get to know Matera in depth. There were a lot of things to be able to have breakfast or have a snack, which is very much appreciated. Patrizia's space contributed greatly to how much Matera enjoyed

a magnificent historic property fully modernized. immediate parking. perfectly centered and walkable everywhere, pharmacy, dentist, city hall and of course the Patisseries and fabulous restaurants. Fabi is a gracious and responsive host. I'll be back for certain.

we stayed for two nights, the house was super clean, equipped with everything we could need. Aldo was extremely kind, he gave us great tips for visiting Gravina. highly recommended!

We were two couples and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is in the modern part of Matera but only a very short walk to elegant shops and restaurants, and to the amazing historical center you'll be exploring. The apartment is modern, spacious, nicely furnished, with a very nicely stocked kitchen. The patio is very large, secluded, and comfortable. We loved everything about the place and would definitely stay here again. I'd note that there is one bathroom adjacent to both bedrooms, but the second bathroom is at the other end of the apartment. The host offers secure garage parking for a modest fee. I recommend you take advantage of this but be sure to drop your bags off at the apartment before you park your car.

Very well located apartment close to the city center without being in the tourist center. we were able to park without problem on the street. we were like at home..with two bathrooms, luxury!

We were very happy with the Airbnb. Everything looked very stylish and even more beautiful than in the pictures. It was also very clean. The location is great too – you’re in the old town (Sassi) in just a few minutes, and most places are within easy walking distance. Only some bus stops are a bit more far away. Thank you as well for the kind notes and tips we received – they were really helpful! And one important thing to know: at the end of the stay, there’s a city tax of €2 per person per night for the first three nights. This is a regulation in Matera to help preserve the city. It’s completely understandable, but good to be aware of in advance. Thanks for everything!

The 3 big rooms were so comfortable and the living room and kitchen were very nice. It was easy to find because it was next to the road, and there was an elevator, so it was good to move my luggage. It was well secured and very quiet at night. It was about a 10 walk to the ruins, and the owner was very friendly.

Thanks to Marianna for her hospitality and friendliness, the apartment is extremely clean, a quiet area with all the comforts. Marianna pampers her guests, leaving a functional kitchen, comfortable bathroom, and very large living area. There are two bedrooms available, one made from a loft but very evocative with these stone walls typical of the Matera area. Marianna was a great Host, always very attentive to our needs.

Great place close to tourist spots and no need to use a car. Accommodating host and very responsive to our questions. Nice welcome on arrival. Very well appointed with quality fittings and furnishings. Beds were comfortable and great cooking facilities. You are a super host Nino.

Great place to stay for a day trip to Matera. Just a short walk from great restaurants, shopping and the Sassi. Was perfect for us!

The 1er Grand Cru of airbnb. In Te Reo Maori has a word to describe care and hospitality, being manaakitanga. Pasquale has this with a strong commitment to his craft of hosting. He spent time orienting us with the area and provided a generous selection of local delicacies. An unobtrusive host with a meticulously appointed property. The place was clean and cozy. The host was responsive and made everything easy for us. We also appreciated the free street parking right in front of the property.

It's a place I couldn't stay because of the parking issue, but the host is friendly. However, it is unfortunate that you are considerate of foreigners. In the listing instructions. Please clear the free parking in the building shown.

Good morning I stayed in this apartment recently. Very clean house, helpful and kind owners made me feel at home, even in the village and the people at the entrance in the guardhouse were helpful and friendly. In the evening by the pool they always organized something. I would say that if it weren't for the fact that my car broke down and this year the shuttle service didn't leave from the village, they would have been perfect. Simona

Great place, great location in the city and easy to park nearby. The Communists were very easy. The place is even better in reality than in photos!
