The cottage is the oldest house in the village, it guarded the entrance to the Abbey of the Benedictines of Etrun. The Abbey was founded in 980 and destroyed during the revolution in 1789. The whole has been listed as a Historic Monument. In 1815 Cardinal De La TOUR d'AUVERGNE decided to build his "Summer Residence" of which the surrounding walls still exist, as well as some period elements. In 1915, General Pétain made it his headquarters and commanded the Battle of Artois from these places.

Bathroom with shower and sink. Located between Arras and Bapaume, 25 minutes from Peronne and 20 minutes from Albert. We are on the GR145 route, the Via Francigena Local shops in the municipality: Bakery, local grocery store, a chip shop and a pizza kiosk.

Between Amiens and Arras, this cottage is perfectly located for visiting the World War I memorial sites of Somme and Pas-de-Calais. Surrounded by fields and greenery, it invites you to hike, bike or relax in the enclosed garden. Les Galets is divided into two refurbished cottages, fully equipped.
