Cottage holiday rentals in São Miguel Island

Tania was extremely responsive and provided us with amazing recommendations throughout the island. It was fully equipped with everything needed for a weeks stay - amazing coffee machine, outdoor seating, washer and dryer, and a comfortable pull out couch which we enjoyed lounging on during the rainy days and watching movies. I would highly recommend this for your stay

We visited Ruben for 10 days. We couldn't have imagined a better place to stay for our stay. Unfortunately, we had some bad luck with the weather - all the nicer was to enjoy the amenities of the pool and sauna. The apartment was spotlessly clean and everything was top prepared. Ruben even provided us with a welcome basket with all the necessary things ( cheese , bread , fruits etc) from the region:) If we should come back to the Azores, we'll definitely go back there. Wonderful experience and great location

First of all, The location was perfect, it’s in the countryside and the views were breathtaking. There was a farm right next to it which made it even more homey. Tips: make sure to rent a small car because the streets in Azores are very steep and narrow. The host was very responsive and any problem we had, he’d come right away to solve. Overall it was very homey and comfy. !!!My fiancé proposed in Azores !!!!

We had a wonderful stay in this charming house. José was very present and attentive, which greatly facilitated our arrival and installation. The house is exactly as described and photographed: a real cocoon, warm and comfortable, where you can immediately feel at home. Nestled by the lake, it offers an idyllic setting with a breathtaking view – the sunrises and sunsets are simply extraordinary. It is a perfect place for lovers of authenticity and simplicity, with a peaceful and sincere atmosphere, away from the artifices. Only small downside: the road below, paved and very busy, but this does not take away from the beauty of the site, which is one of the most remarkable landscapes on the island. A big thank you again to José for hosting us!

An excellent place to stay. The host goes out of his way to provide comfort. The welcome pack was incredible - thoughtfully put together, delicious local produce. Very comfy beds, quality linen, everything we could possibly need and more. The pool table provide great evening entertainment. Amazing views ocean from almost every window. Private, quiet and huge. A wonderful experience.

Casa do Rei was easy to find, had easy check in, and well located in walking distance to city center and fumaroles. The home is loved and taken care of. There is unique and detailed decor in every corner. The porch views are amazing as shown in pictures and we enjoyed the stay greatly.

Wonderful stay in Sete Cidades! Cozy and well equipped house, beautiful surroundings. Quiet peaceful town. The fresh baked bread from the bakery on the next street was a special treat. We felt right at home and enjoyed our stay. We would return for another relaxing holiday.

Exactly as pictured, about 15 Minutes’ drive from Ponta Delgada airport. Although we were traveling with an 8 month old, we did not request any special accommodation. However, they set up a travel crib, had a high chair and baby bathtub when we arrived which was so thoughtful! Location is perfect in the middle of the island so you can easily get to all main attractions. Highly recommend for traveling families - plenty of indoor/outdoor space.

Our stay was so relaxing with the beautiful grounds and views of the city and the sea. As you drive through the gate and down the long driveway and see the property for the first time, you are sent back in time by its old world charm. The pink stucco house sits on a hill with stunning views. The house was a little tricky for us to find, as the address on airbnb did not take us to the house, but we figured it out and it was smooth sailing from there. The location was very convenient to Ponta Delgada, tourist attractions, and other smaller towns. The house felt like living in a castle with modern conveniences and 5 full bathrooms, which was very nice for 8 guests. Our hosts were there to greet my friends, who arrived first, and gave them all the instructions for the house. There is a working farm on the property, as described. If you do not like the sound of donkeys braying, frogs croaking, or the faint odor of a farm, then this house is not for you. We loved it all!!

As a family, we spent a week in this cottage. It is really in a beautiful place, located directly on a hiking trail, with bakery, supermarket and restaurants within leafy distance. Friendly people in the village. The house itself is spacious, a bit dated, but that also gives charm. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful and well maintained house, garden and pool. Situated in a small and peaceful village. The perfect base for us to start our day trips around the island. Thank you Rui for taking such good care of us!

Fabulous inside and out. As others have said, do not hesitate to book here. The location is amazing for the views, the short walk into the village, the amenities provided. We spent our days out exploring and came back to enjoy our dinner (we stopped at a Pingo Doce on the way there) cooked in the wonderful kitchen, and watched the sunset reflecting on the mountainside across the lake from the dining room table. Truly unforgettable moments here. Joao communicated well and very quickly with any of our questions, and we felt welcome to enjoy this incredible cottage as if it were our own for the 3 days we spent there. Glad there had been some warning of the temperature change causing the front glazing to make cracking noises, but all was well. The place is an architectural delight.

We absolutely LOVED staying here! The “Secret Spot” was breathless and a magical place to view the full moon! The house and grounds were so peaceful and serene! We LOVED our welcome basket and trying all the local favorites. The beach was easily accessible and my kids swam everyday despite the cool weather. We definitely would recommend staying at this house! As a family of 4 it had everything we needed! We went to the grocery store to get food so that we could enjoy all the house had to offer!!! One of the best places I've been able to stay in during my travels. Very quiet, comfortable, nice furniture, very comfortable bed, nice touches for breakfast. Everything was really perfect. Nordeste is a remote corner of the island and sometimes a little neglected when it's superb. I would 100% recommend this place.

Jose's house was perfect for this retired couple who likes quiet surroundings and lots of hiking. The view from the sunroom with lots of seating was amazing. You can access hiking trails and the shuttle to Lagoa do Fogo by walking from the house. Good restaurants and groceries are within a short drive. If you spend the day out exploring further reaches of the island, Jose's house is the perfect comfortable place to relax after a long day.

Awesome place, highly recommend! Best view in the Azores!

Very nice holiday home with a large garden and adjoining meadow. The garden is really great and you feel very comfortable. The entire property is surrounded by a wall and gate. Amenities are good and everything was very clean.

The farm was very cozy! We love the BBQ area, the interior fireplace, all the decoration, as well as the surrounding quiet. Emanuel's friendliness, who was very dear to us, leaving us to enjoy more time of his little house. 🙂 We really appreciate it and recommend it! 5 star⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very successful!
