Beautiful quiet house with splendid views of the ocean. A car is required to move around but it is the perfect location to recharge quietly for a few days.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Our group of 5 liked the ability to spread out a bit on this 3 bedroom house, and the 2 bathrooms minimized the congestion getting ready in the morning. We liked the private parking inside the property, but since we had a rental that was a little larger and without the greatest turning ratio, we opted to just park on the street rather than negotiate with the driveway. We always found a spot in front of the church next door. Totally equipped kitchen and proximity to supermarkets gave us a break from eating out all the time and a chance to enjoy the property's great backyard. Carla was very helpful, easy going, and the house was spotless. The area is not in the heart of any action, but still only a few minutes drive away from anything, and it was fine by us (in fact, we preferred it). There is a convenient little market literally under the second floor great for essentials. Amazing place, and we were grateful for Carla for the opportunity to stay in it.

One of the best places I've been able to stay in during my travels. Very quiet, comfortable, nice furniture, very comfortable bed, nice touches for breakfast. Everything was really perfect. Nordeste is a remote corner of the island and sometimes a little neglected when it's superb. I would 100% recommend this place.

mariana’s apartment is super comfortable and clean, great view and just some minutes away from a great beach, we had an amazing time there.

We loved our stay! You can see the ocean off one side of the patio. Walkable to marina and restaurants. Great space.

We stayed at Maria’s place for one week with our 11 month old baby as she provided all (and more) of the baby essentials (high chair, pack and play, baby bath, towel, shampoo, etc.). Many additional amenities and extras were provided which were appreciated, including a dropped off breakfast one morning. Overall, we loved our time at Maria’s place, having access to guaranteed, private parking was a huge plus! The only downfall was that for the first couple of days there was a musty smell, which dissipated throughout the week. Maria was very responsive and allowed us to check in several hours ahead of the listed time, which was great as we had an overnight flight!

A peaceful, gorgeous location. Ocean views and local crops growing surrounding a lovely pool area. The unit was spacious and inviting. The sea pool was really amazing. We would definitely stay here again!

The kids loved the pool, was quiet place, and lots of space. the beds were comfortable, the location was good. the view from the kitchen was fantastic.we loved that we had three showers and toilets.

Bruno’s apartment was amazing; clean, updated and spacious! Location was perfect and there is also a parking spot included in the stay. The views were great and we utilized the balcony every day/night. You can catch a beautiful sunset if you look in the direction of the airport. Bruno took the time to put together a nice outline of restaurants and locations to visit in the city. Only downfall, the elevator is quite small but I think that is normal for the area! All in all, 10/10 stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Inês's place. The house lived up to our expectations — it’s cozy and has all the amenities as described. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, which made for a relaxing stay. Parking right at the door can be a bit tricky at times, but there’s always a spot available just up the street. Definitely a place to keep in mind for future visits to the island!

We are so sad to leave this beautiful place! The house’s description is very accurate to the T: perfect location- you will be able to explore the island easily, 4 equally sized bedrooms with a pullout as an extra, kitchen with all the utensils, pots, glasses, ect. Our favorite part was the rooftop deck with sunrises and sunrises! The host graciously made the reservations for local restaurants and recommended some extra activities that we didn’t include in our original plans. The communication was easy - usually reply came in 30 min. We would happily recommend this place to our friends and hopefully come back soon. Note: the house has lots of stairs that can create problems for people with limited mobility. It was not an issue for us but it might be an issue for some.

The personality of the hosts clearly emerges, it is furnished according to the Azores, high quality and beautiful. The hostess even surprised us with some treats from the island, so we could start the next morning with a great breakfast. We felt completely comfortable. It was incredibly clean and the amenities exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal, situated right by the sea and all sights are quickly reached by car. Parking is available right outside the door. Unfortunately, it is very noisy in the bedrooms as they face the main road. As of the end of October: The bakery in front of the door is no longer open.

We loved staying at Antonio's place. The quaint grape vine covered area was awesome. The kitchen was very well equipped. Perfect accomodations. Going to sleep and waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean was AMAZING. We were disappointed that a couple of the towns best restaurants were closed for the season however there were places to eat and to buy groceries. It was great to have the fresh bread and produce vans come by in the mornings. We really enjoyed our time in Ribeira Quente. Thanks Antonio, can't wait to visit again!

We felt very comfortable at the place. The entire place is very spacious, tastefully decorated. We cooked extensively over the New Year and the kitchen is perfectly equipped for this. The location is wonderful for excursions all over the island. Places such as Furnas, Sete Cidades or Nordeste are easily accessible by car. Filomena & Miguel are great hosts and welcomed us very warmly. Both were available and helpful with questions. Thank you for the great hospitality, we will definitely be back:)

We had a great week visiting the Azores and staying at Tiago’s place. The home had more than enough room for our group to spread out. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for taking day trips to visit different areas on the island. Parking was always available. There was a rocky lookout a short walk away and a great beach a slightly longer walk. A few restaurants were also a short walk away. Tiago was very helpful and very responsive to messages. We would definitely stay here again when we visit next time!

The views from the balcony are stunning, and the place is comfortable. We did have issues with having to re-set the electrical breaker quite a few times , and the wi-fi was transmitting to the 'guest house" so we alerted the management. The home is on a tricky, curvy road around a blind curve so be aware of that. The town is quite small and the 2 restaurants were closed off-season so we drove to nearby villages each day, so take that into consideration, depending on when you are traveling. One more house thing is that if you're traveling with young children, or you like to watch TV, be aware that the TV is in an awkward place (in the kitchen, where there's no real place to sit and watch from that vantage point) so if watching a show is your preference, this isn't a good option. Otherwise, you'll find the couches to be comfy facing the views outside which is lovely.
