Family-friendly holiday rentals in São Martinho

The accommodation was beautiful in a very quiet location with a breathtaking view. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. Calheta beach is 5 minutes by car and highly recommended. We also thought the private parking was great. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. It was a very pleasant stay, the views were amazing. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. The whole house was really well equipped, there was everything you needed. The host was very kind. One thing, but rather related to Madeira itself, that little caterpillars were walking into the house. Other than that the stay was amazing.

Leonel’s home was beautiful and exactly as pictures. Leonel met us at the property and shared lots about the area and had wonderful recommendations. The house had lots of space for 2 or a family and it is very close to lots of beautiful activities. We had a wonderful stay.

Carlos’s place was fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay – the property was beautiful, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect, and everything was well taken care of. The apartment is sublime and spacious. Crossing with sea view on both sides. Everything you need is available, including shower gel and hair dryer. The accommodation has a swimming pool with sea view. The host is welcoming and flexible. She kindly gave us directions on things to do in Madeira.

We enjoyed the house very much, it has a perfect location, we would book it again anytime.

Great apartment. Everything as described. Tip...bring some shower/bath gel or buy some locally. There was only little bottles of shampoo. This was to start you off when you arrived, but, if you feel like a shower after a long journey it would be nice to have just a couple of small bottles of gel just for the initial shower or bath. It was quite noisy when we stayed with very loud building works with an excavator loading and crashing rocks and boulders into the lorries and travelling right past the apartment loaded with all of those 🥺 This was at the front of the apartment, so although we couldn't use the balcony there: thankfully the bedroom was at the rear of the property, so a lie in was possible when the work started early in the morning. However, this may not be the case for any future guests as they may have finished the works before they arrive. Other than this problem, we had a great time on this beautiful island ( our 8th visit and our first time in self catering)

We spent a week in Petro's apartment and especially appreciated the great location and the great parking. The communication was also friendly and uncomplicated, the late check-out made the day of departure much easier for us. The apartment could do with a little more care in some places, especially in the bathroom and in the sleeping areas. Overall, we had a nice stay and thank Petro for the hospitality. 😊

Maria’s 8th-floor apartment was perfect! Super clean, spacious, and the balcony had amazing views of the marina, Santa Catarina park, and the city. It has two bedrooms — one with a double bed, the other with two singles — both with private bathrooms and closets. There are three bathrooms total, all spotless. The kitchen had everything, plus a dishwasher and coffee machine. Laura, who welcomed us, was so kind and helpful. She messaged me before arrival, arranged parking, explained everything in the apartment, and even brought us a big bottle of water and fresh coffee capsules the next day. She also gave great local tips. The building has great security and private parking. Honestly, the whole stay was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira — close to everything!

this place was great! it's in a cute area bear ponto do sol, lots of parking, and just a short walk from some hikes. Rodrigo was very helpful and responsive, the place was great, and his cat is so cute and friendly!

The Casita de la Praia is a real gem. Very well located, quiet and easy to access. Rocked by the lapping of the ocean and the mild climate in the heart of a green screen. We loved it. Thank you for this pleasant stay!

The house is perfect. Only minus was the road renovation project, 2 times during our stay. To walk the dog nearby was a small problem, but driving further solved the problem. Veronica answered our questions promptly. Thank you for a good holiday. Small villages nearby are worth visiting, Ponta do Sol as well is very interesting.

The house was exactly as described — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything was well prepared for our arrival, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the whole place had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect — quiet and peaceful, yet close to local shops, restaurants, and everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space (great for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening). The host was extremely friendly and responsive, always ready to help or answer any questions. You can really tell they care about their guests and put a lot of thought into making the stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area

Airbnb is very pleasant, as described and photographed. Lino our host picked us up from the airport, and took us directly to airbnb. Great communication before and during the stay. The apartment is really nice, well lit, and has a nice view. Very well organized kitchen with lots of dishes, large fridge, microwave and hob , which is nice, living room with sofa, tv, bedroom with double bed, large closet, desk, air conditioning and open ocean view. Everything was perfect, we even got a regional cake when we arrived. I would highly recommend this airbnb

We absolutely loved staying at Patricia’s villa. It’s a beautiful home and perfect for a family staying. Everything that you needed was available - a well stocked kitchen with lots of utensils, basic cooking supplies (oils, salt, pepper etc) and lovely filter coffee. Patricia went above and beyond by providing us baby equipment (a cot, linen, a high chair, bibs, plate and cutlery) that meant that we didn’t have to worry about extra packing. The views were incredible with such a beautiful terrace and pool. Our 16 month year old daughter loved running around and we spent a lot of time enjoying the peaceful nature outdoors and making use of the well stocked board games available. Patricia was a fantastic host and really helped us out when we had an issue with lost luggage by taking us to the airport, speaking to workers there and ensuring that we got it back! We were so grateful for such a wonderful host. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay and would absolutely stay here again

We felt very relaxed and comfortable at Antonio’s lovely house and the garden and views were impressive. We appreciated the interesting features in the garden with its nature feel and enjoyed the pool and sauna which we thought was a real asset for the place. The house is interesting and cared about and Antionio was an excellent and helpful host. We were glad of the car we hired to access shops, restaurants, beach and walking areas as without one would be difficult but it suited us really well as 4 adults who wanted a base from which to explore Madeira.

What a wonderful place to stay and for us perfect location to explore beautiful Madeira. 6 of us stayed for 1 week, the accommodation was perfect with various areas to spread out. We spent most of our evenings around the pool side, playing games and soaking up the views. The home has everything a family would need to enjoy your stay. Local shops, cafes and restaurants 10min walk up hill. Fully recommend if you are able to take a 1 day jeep tour of the island as Madeira has some spectacular scenery, valleys, mountains, villages and locations to explore. Contact with the host was effortless and always quick with responding. We loved our stay.

The house was a wonderful place for us and our family. Plenty of room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The view was spectacular and the pool and patio were an excellent spot to relax.

We loved our two weeks at this location. Superb views over the ocean and the surroundings. All we needed in the house was present and clean. Very peaceful neighbourhood (although we were a little unlucky to have roadworks ongoing). Amazing private pool (with an extra bathroom)! Carolina was super friendly and always available for questions. Would love to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!!

Daniel is a very friendly and attentive host. She followed us from the first to the last minute, giving tips about the area. The apartment is really space and spacious, with two nice balconies perfect for an outdoor breakfast!

The Bauhaus-style house leaves nothing to be desired. We immediately felt very comfortable. The house is very well maintained and in mint condition. All necessary equipment is available. The house was the entire house and the terraces were very clean including the bathrooms. The pool was heated as agreed and the cover also kept the temperature very well. Fatima introduced herself to us briefly on the second day, she is very nice and we immediately had a very friendly relationship. We were even allowed to try some tomatoes from her local garden. If you want to spend a relaxing vacation with pool time and hiking, you are in good hands there. We will be back!
