Sound Lodge is a lovely place to stay and Gina & Neil are excellent hosts. The accommodation was very comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches that made us feel very much at home. Highly recommended!

Such a cozy home, with every amenity provided. The place was spotless and the furnishings were very comfortable. The home was decorated with local art, which was very charming and added to the overall coziness of the space. Very spacious, we were able to easily spread out which made us feel more at home. Instructions for everything was easily accessible, and nothing was overlooked. The attention to details have made this home comfortable and a top pick on our list.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rocklea, it is a beautifully decorated Victorian house with lots of character and every modern convenience. It felt like a real ‘home from home’ from the moment we arrived with a really comfortable lounge, a well-equipped kitchen and a bedroom with a fantastic view of the shore which is right in front of the property. It was one of the best Airbnb properties we have ever stayed in and we could not fault anything. Walls is a great base for exploring this beautiful and quiet part of Shetland and there are lovely walks from the property without even taking the car. If you are in Walls on Friday lunchtime we recommend the cafe at the kirk!

Midfield Croft is a great base for exploring Northmavine and the Northern Isles. It's a sympathetically updated traditional croft house (with perhaps the exception of the excellent and modern bathroom with both stand-up shower and bath). The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge was oh so comfortable. Oh, and room for three bedrooms upstairs (we used the twin). Bruce and Family were lovely. It's clearly a working croft but they all found time to chat and make suggestions for places to visit. We were even warned about a seasonal hazard, namely that the starlings were nesting! We will always remember eating breakfast and watching chickens and rabbits just outside and the new born lambs in the nearest field. We will also recall the stubborn starlings. Every morning we had to check under the car bonnet and the boot sill for their repeated attempts at nest making! In short, highly recommended.
