Monthly Rentals in San Juan Tecomatlán

I give it five stars for a budget place to stay. Its small but very functional. Very good internet and smart TV. Good hot water. Comfortable bed. Has a decent kitchen, but I did not cook because there are so many places to eat nearby, even on a budget. Everything in Chapala is within easy walking distance. Maria lives on site and responds quickly. Just text her and use Google translate if you don't speak Spanish. I would stay here again.

The house is very nice, spacious, very good taste and with the best views of the lake (I took amazing photos). It's the cleanest place we've come to, impeccable towels and linens. The pool is warm, good size. Surrounded by a private garden, it invites you to rest on its large terrace. The living room is very comfortable (like the beds) and all the tasteful decoration. The GPS sent us down a bad path (Sta Cruz de la soledad) but only getting to Rodrigo's house, the stress was dissolving. We stayed another extra night!. We'll be back in May! Thank you Diego!.

Very nice welcome, very clean and tidy spaces, the house very comfortable,clean and tidy, the pool very clean and the water with a comfortable temperature as well as the jacuzzi. The host was very attentive and kind all the time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mary & Tony's. The location is ideal, the apartment is spacious, the bed is comfortable, the garden is delightful and sitting on the balcony was a real treat. The neighborhood is extremely safe (we felt safer walking the streets at nigh than we do at home - and we live in the country!). All the windows have screens so you can open them without worrying about flying insects (although we didn't see many of those, not even flies). Mary & Tony were very responsive whenever we called. Only two precautions - 1) the only stairs are the outside tight spiral ones shown in the picture, so if you are very large or unsteady on your feet it could be a problem (I'm small and thought they were fun, but my husband didn't) 2) the kitchen is very minimally equipped (at least at the time we stayed), so if you plan on doing a lot of cooking in the apartment keep that in mind. The American Legion (very helpful, good place to get answers to your questions about the area) is only about 4 doors down and Tuesday's they serve a fillet mignon lunch for only 130 pesos. The apartment is only 2 blocks from the lake and also 2 blocks from a very nice HUGE park.
