Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in San José Island

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Beth and Doug’s condo! It was perfect for families and our three young kids had a blast sleeping on the bunk beds and playing with the corner full of toys! They even had kites and beach toys waiting for them to use, which were a huge hit! Everything was well stocked and clean, and I loved that they even had baby gear like a pack and play and high chair so I didn’t need to bring that for our one year old!! The pool was beautiful and being so close to the beach was so ideal. Beth always responded extremely fast to any questions that I had too! This will definitely be our new family beach getaway for years to come!

Beautiful, well appointed condo in a great location. Condo was well maintained and very clean. Beds were comfy. Lots of extras-beach chairs, cooler, beach toys, and a wagon to tote them in. Kitchen well stocked-even had basic spices, free coffee and filters. Location was fantastic. Just a short walk to the beach. Many restaurants, shops, and services close by. Would definitely stay here again.

This was an absolutely beautiful home on a beautiful location. Mark the host is fantastic. After a long journey from Colorado to a terrible b and b mark allowed us to book, literally an hour before we arrived and made every accommodation. The one time i needed to call he was very quick to respond and handle the situation. ( ac in the unit) the condo is just as described and the beach view was amazing. We went during the week and was not very crowded. Everything was clean and well maintained. Would definitely book this again.

The condo was great, great reserved parking spot right in front of condo. Super close to pool and hot tub which were lovely. Didn't get the motivation to hit the gym unfortunately. Very close to the beach. Only down side were all the stickers everywhere in the grassy areas. Our dogs were scared to step into grass after several walks. Nothing the host could do, just the region.

always a great stay! this was our second or 3rd time here. perfect for a small family or friends for a beach hangout. the beach is just a minute away! golfcart rentals right across the way. my ONLY qualm is that the beds aren't super comfy. the mattress was sinking into the middle and the sofa bed had a metal bar running across it. that is a small price to pay though, I will continue to rent this spot from John. hes friendly and works with you! love this gem and we will definitely be back!!

we really enjoy this place, everything was clean and accurate, just like the pictures. the kitchen had eveverything we needed to cook a meal. I like that the coffe maker was not a kuering, I prefer to make more than one cup at a time. we will definitely be going back.

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was walking distance to the beach and we really enjoyed our time at the pond. The condo was very clean and the area was peaceful. We will definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay at this Airbnb! The location was perfect because it was close to the beach but still private. The place was clean and was spacious for me and my two friends. My friends and I had a great time using the amenities. I definitely recommend staying here for a nice and peaceful beach vacation!

The condo was extremely cozy and clean. We enjoyed the walks to the beach. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and workout room. Amanda was very helpful and responsive.

Steven and Debi were very friendly and always responsive when I had a question about their property or things to do in the area. The condo was beautiful and we loved how private it was, and the beach was so close that we could even walk there if we wanted to. I felt very safe at this property compared to other areas in corpus. We would definitely rent this property again and we recommend to others.

This is best place we have ever stayed at in the cc area! We love the Island and it’s easy access to the National Seashore! Everything was clean and the place is very quiet and peaceful! We will definitely try and get this place first for our future visits to the area! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place!

Great location, walkable to restaurants and coffee/donuts. Property just as described! The golf cart can get you to the beach in less than five minutes, a huge perk. Quick enough to pop back home if you forgot something. House is nice and cozy and the kitchen is super clean and well stocked. Our daughter and three children loved it. The secondary garage house was comfy with a kitchenette and portable ACs. The shared porch was a big plus, a great gathering spot with large yard. View of palm trees was an added bonus! Neighborhood is in the original Port Aransas area, with many of the homes updated and /or rebuilt. Very quiet area. Be sure to bring all your own beach gear, including beach chairs, the house only provides beach towels. Overall, great stay and we would recommend.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 **Absolutely Perfect Stay at Sunny Sandollar!** I can't recommend Sunny Sandollar enough! The property was amazing—immaculately maintained and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The fully equipped kitchen (double ovens included!) made cooking a breeze, and the game area upstairs kept the kids entertained for hours. Outside was just as impressive. We loved having access to two golf carts to explore the area, and the light-up pool was a huge hit in the evenings. There was tons of yard space for games like cornhole and spike ball, making it perfect for both relaxation and fun. A special shoutout to Ryan, the host—he was incredibly amenable and responsive. He provided proactive, detailed instructions that made check-in and navigating the property totally seamless. This Airbnb truly exceeded expectations. Can’t wait to come back!

Great place in Palmilla Beach! We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the beach and Vacasa was a great host. They were very responsive when we had questions. The location of the place was close to the pool and beach as well as a great restaurant. The only issue we had was that we didn’t have access to the garage so it was a little difficult getting our luggage in, but we ended up finding a parking spot in the front where we could unload. Overall we had a great stay here!

We always love our time at Palmilla Beach! the pools, the restaurants, the green space and live music...such a great summer beach town vibe. Loved the house, it was clean and comfortable and beautiful. Had everything we needed. Loved that the host was on property and able to help us when we needed a hand. Would rent again, loved it!

No notes! We enjoyed our stay immensely and look forward to returning. Pack your coffee & filters in your bag for the coffee maker. If you need snacks for a late arrival then pop into The Texan gas station two minutes down the road. Lots of fresh fruit options + a little bakery. Always love visiting Port A, Sunflower beach is a new favorite!

We had a great stay at the Crab Shack. Place was super cute, modern and neat & clean. Location was walking distance to the beach, and only 10 minutes drive to the national park & gorgeous beaches. First time in N. Padre, we can’t wait to go back.
