Cabin holiday rentals in Salt Spring Island

Stayed here with some friends for a weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! The cabin was beautiful and the perfect size for the four of us. It had everything we needed and the host even provided delicious baked goods, eggs, milk and more. The backyard hot tub and bbq were great. The host was extremely communicative and so lovely to deal with. Will definitely be coming back the next chance I get!

I feel so refreshed after staying here and would absolutely recommend a visit to anyone who needs a break. The nature and peace of this home and location is everything. We saw so many amazing birds, I now understand the appeal of birding 😂. So many thoughtful touches and cute decor throughout the home. The views, the hot tub on the deck, heated bathroom floors, throw blankets, fireplaces, the fire pit in the yard etc. we really enjoyed just being here. Our host was the absolute best I have ever encountered. She thought of everything: welcoming snacks, the home was clean and a perfect temperature, she let us know about construction noise on one of our days gave us a discount for that day and a late checkout. We felt so taken care of. Thank you Eden and Allison Elizabeth!

Amazing stay at Sunny and Aparna's place. The cottage is unique in that it is a separate home on the property, providing almost complete privacy. The surrounding area is extremely peaceful and quiet, which ensured we had the relaxing vacation we hoped for. The only noises you can expect are local deer walking in the grass and birds throughout the day. The cottage has everything you will need for your stay and we were able to cook most of our meals in the well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils etc). The beds are very comfortable, shower runs hot, and the AC/heating system works very well. The large and private hot tub is a definite highlight of this rental, as it it overlooks their beautiful view and allows you to enjoy the setting despite the cooler evenings. Sunny and Aparna were extremely responsive, helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to book here again. 10/10 experience.

This place was a gem! My partner and I share a birthday so we wanted a quiet place to relax it had everything and more! No detail was spared we couldn't have asked for anything else during our stay! Adorable community with pretty views, hot tub, hammock and fire pit were amazing. All the greenery outside and old growth trees were so relaxing too! PNW experience like no other! It was a lovely place to stay for a weekend! We'll be back for sure! Thank you!

A perfectly positioned cabin on the lake with all the amenities one might desire. The hot tub was perfect for our cold wet weekend. The host were always quick to help and make our stay the best.

What A beautiful arrival, the ambiance at night was magical, the views and atmosphere during the day were also very soothing, tranquil. Very eclectic accomodations, right down to the art in the suite.

Wandas place was a haven for those just looking for a break from the city. Close to great restaurants like crow & gate and Mahle. Close to relaxing easy but scenic trails. Parks. Farmers market on sundays (maybe weekends) Big and really quiet space.

10/10 would stay again (and did, just now!)… this was our second time to Alex and Laura’s place… they really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and the place is super cozy and all the natural light coming in through the trees alone makes it worthwhile! I work on the island when I’m around, and the walk to Sturdies Bay is gorgeous and very quick… you can arrive on foot and make it to theirs if you don’t carry too much with you… it’s about a 40 minute walk to the ferry… Thanks again so much guys!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The farm is beautiful. We loved seeing the horses everyday. There is so much space and our dog loved running around the fields. The farm is so peaceful and relaxing. Julia and Mike are such great people. They brought us fresh fruit and produce from their farm and were so welcoming and chatty. We would love to be back!

This fully renovated cabin was squeaky clean, cozy and welcoming. All the details and decor made it feel like at home. Kitchen was fully equipped, more than described. You can tell Curt had thought through how to keep the guests comfortable and enjoyable during the stay. Bathroom was bright and spacious with a big bathtub. The bed was superb (slept like a baby), the linens were spotless clean and fresh which was very important to me. I appreciate the space very much. I’ll be back.

Scott and Kim are lovely hosts and the little house is absolutely charming and comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout. At the right time of year in this idyllic setting you'll wake to birdsong and tuck in to the muted chorus of frogs. A wonderful base for exploring San Juan Island or perfectly situated for the annual Lakedale Triathlon. We hope to return.

We enjoyed the accommodations thoroughly. Very private, rustic setting. Bright kitchen on the sunny day and a nice deck to enjoy your morning coffee, or late night toast. Well appointed/stocked with handy items. The coffee beans and grinder was an awesome touch for a coffee lover (me), and the drinking water/ dispenser supplied was SO appreciated. Well done

Glamping on a farm - a tranquil experience :) We were greeted by Lisa on arrival and were provided a fun tour of the farm. After that, you are free to roam the farm and pet the animals on your own, which was really cool! My dogs could roam off leash around the vicinity of the cabin which they loved. Tips for fellow visitors: If you are 6 feet or taller you probably don’t want to book the bunk beds in the cabin. They are very short and we could not stretch our legs. If it is raining, there is no under cover area to hang out outside without getting wet, so plan on a cozy evening inside and bring books (and head lamp) and games! Trevor’s cabin was perfectly situated on Magic Lake. The view was beautiful. My family enjoyed the quiet days and cozy space. It felt like a home away from home!

A beautiful and serene stay at this adorable cottage. Lots of love and care have gone into ensuring a most pleasant stay. Just a short drive from Gagnes village for restaurants and local artisans galore. Host was always responsive when needed. Bed was super comfy and the heated bathroom floor was a delight during the cooler evenings. Would highly recommend this quaint stay!

Marcia is the most amazing hostess, she welcomed us like old friends, super warm, helpful and responsive. This place is amazing, beautiful, comfortable, cozy and so unique. the type of airbnb that you don’t really see anymore on the loveliest property (loved having all the animals above) and the warmest hosts. We will definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay. The cabin was inviting and cozy, and we were relaxed immediately walking up to it. Robin was very kind and we enjoyed talking with him. Joni gave us an amazing tour of the property, and answered the many questions we had about the area and things to do/see. The location was also perfect. Close to town but far enough to feel secluded, and the lookout across the street was wonderful. We highly recommend staying at their cabin!

The cottage is small but more than adequate. In the loft area there were another 3 beds that we did not use, but would be fun for 3 or 4 kids. It would not be considered luxury accommodation, but served us perfectly. The deck provides a tranquil setting with a wonderful view of the Haro strait with stunning sunsets and the comforting sounds of chirping birds. We explored all the walking trails recommended by our host, Mary Ellen, and returned in the late afternoon to enjoy a glass of wine and gentle music on the deck to view the slow passage of marine traffic. We could not have selected a better accommodation to enjoy exploring the San Juan island.

Susie was great - clear, friendly, and helpful every step of the way. The cottage is just lovely. We were two adults and the space was perfectly apportioned and the bed and sofa bed were both comfortable. The bathroom is huge and spotless. The orientation of the cottage is such that the back deck is super private and looks out over an interesting and lovely natural space (with lots of wildlife). There’s also a fantastic (large!) table out there to eat or play games. We walked up from the ferry and went for a bunch of hikes over the next two days. Bliss.

This is a lovely little cottage - a truly heavenly experience watching the sunsets each night and being quiet with nature. We loved making dinner on the BBQ and sitting on the couch outside, and the cottage was stocked with tons of amenities that made cooking really easy. The shower is a bit awkward but accessibility could be easily improved with a removable/handheld shower head - overall an amazing stay and we hope to come back!
