Cabin holiday rentals in Salt Spring Island

Tesja's cottage was the perfect, peaceful getaway we were hoping for our mini honeymoon. The cottage was immaculately clean, and had everything we needed: a BBQ, private hot tub and the add-on firepit was a nice addition to our stay. Her homemade and curated breakfast selections that awaited us was the cherry on top. Surrounded by nature, birds, and occasional deer, Tesja's cottage gave us a chance to unplug, relax and enjoy everything Salt Spring had to offer: nature, and a short drive away from the Ganges. Communication before and during our stay was great. We wouldn't hesitate to return in the future when in need of peaceful staycation.

We stayed at Cusheon Lake Resort while on Saltspring for work. Glen met us to make sure that we had our orientation as we checked in. We stayed in cabin 2 and it was stunning - a beautiful space, comfortable, peaceful and with a beautiful view of the lake. One of us stayed on the sofa bed which was great for our needs. Having a kitchen available to us was also a big benefit to us as we worked long hours. It was such a treat to come back to a hot tub & sauna after a long day’s work. We also made use of the paddle boards for an early morning paddle. We loved our stay here and look forward to our next!

I feel so refreshed after staying here and would absolutely recommend a visit to anyone who needs a break. The nature and peace of this home and location is everything. We saw so many amazing birds, I now understand the appeal of birding 😂. So many thoughtful touches and cute decor throughout the home. The views, the hot tub on the deck, heated bathroom floors, throw blankets, fireplaces, the fire pit in the yard etc. we really enjoyed just being here. Our host was the absolute best I have ever encountered. She thought of everything: welcoming snacks, the home was clean and a perfect temperature, she let us know about construction noise on one of our days gave us a discount for that day and a late checkout. We felt so taken care of. Thank you Eden and Allison Elizabeth!

Amazing stay at Sunny and Aparna's place. The cottage is unique in that it is a separate home on the property, providing almost complete privacy. The surrounding area is extremely peaceful and quiet, which ensured we had the relaxing vacation we hoped for. The only noises you can expect are local deer walking in the grass and birds throughout the day. The cottage has everything you will need for your stay and we were able to cook most of our meals in the well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils etc). The beds are very comfortable, shower runs hot, and the AC/heating system works very well. The large and private hot tub is a definite highlight of this rental, as it it overlooks their beautiful view and allows you to enjoy the setting despite the cooler evenings. Sunny and Aparna were extremely responsive, helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to book here again. 10/10 experience.

This place was a gem! My partner and I share a birthday so we wanted a quiet place to relax it had everything and more! No detail was spared we couldn't have asked for anything else during our stay! Adorable community with pretty views, hot tub, hammock and fire pit were amazing. All the greenery outside and old growth trees were so relaxing too! PNW experience like no other! It was a lovely place to stay for a weekend! We'll be back for sure! Thank you!

We had a lovely stay at Najma’s log cabin. The location was great with the dock always in the late spring sunshine. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a cool dip in the lake. The cabin was spotless and we slept like logs in the comfortable beds! Thanks Najma!

Wandas place was a haven for those just looking for a break from the city. Close to great restaurants like crow & gate and Mahle. Close to relaxing easy but scenic trails. Parks. Farmers market on sundays (maybe weekends) Big and really quiet space.

We had a lovely girls trip to Galiano and Alex’s cabin was just perfect for the three of us. Was even more beautiful in person, perfectly secluded, and in a convenient location to everything we wanted to do. Would give more than 5 stars if we could!

It was a perfect stay. Exactly as described, a super cute hut located on their family farm. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals at home. Julia was so lovely. Super friendly and available, but always respected our privacy. Great location, you are close to amenities yet it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. Great location if you want easy access to Shawnigan lake, cobble hill, mill bay, Duncan, Chemanis, Ladysmith. Would definitely stay here again.

The most perfect place to land on galiano island. Curt (the host) gave great suggestions on places to eat and visit which I also highly recommend you follow. Will only be staying here when i come and visit again

Scott and Kim are lovely hosts and the little house is absolutely charming and comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout. At the right time of year in this idyllic setting you'll wake to birdsong and tuck in to the muted chorus of frogs. A wonderful base for exploring San Juan Island or perfectly situated for the annual Lakedale Triathlon. We hope to return.

Had a great stay! Beautiful property for a peaceful island getaway. Everything was as advertised. Early check-in was appreciated. The property is very dog friendly with it being fully fenced with a grassy area and sun deck. Carol was very responsive to any questions we had and the local food recommendations were much appreciated.

This is a very amazing place! Many animals and goats are very different from those in other farms, very natural and curious to humans with a little afraid. I love them so so much! I only stayed for one night but I watched the animals for three times I LOVE THEM! The dogs are very cute too one very enthusiastic one very cold, both very polite to my dog love it! A PLACE WITH PEACE. Though sharing bathroom with others, but I think it doesn’t matter at all, a very good experience! My first time to use a real fireplace AMAZING!!!!!🤩

Trevor’s place was stunning! Took my dad and uncle there to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday, and sitting out on that deck and looking over that gorgeous lake was a moment the 3 of us will cherish forever.

Very clean and quiet. Host is very responsive. You will need a vehicle to travel from Ferry terminal to this place. Perfect location base for touring the islands with a vehicle.

Adam’s place was fantastic! Adam and Sean are quick to reply back to any questions we had. Tons to do on the property if you want to stay in. Everyone on the farm is super friendly (especially the pups). Will definitely come back to see how the farm/projects shapes up.

I cannot say enough about how great Kevin and our stay was. Kevin responded quickly and was so accommodating to our last minute stay. The cabin itself was so comfy, with a great layout. We spent most of our time sitting on the deck watching the deer graze and frolic. Inside had everything you needed and more. The location was great, so close to everything but you felt like you were miles away with the peaceful surroundings. A beautiful gem!

Matt's place was really nice and had many games to entertain kids and adult of all ages. The place felt like a home away from home. We had a nice getaway, would recommend to other friends and will definitely return!

I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for quiet, conveniently located spot in Chemainus. It was very clean and had everything I needed for my 2 month stay! Sharon was a wonderful host and also went above and beyond to help me during a snowstorm this past month. I will definitely be back!!

What an amazing house. Very large house, large deck and property. The photos don't do it justice. Victor was so accommodating is letting us check in early as we arrived early from the ferry. They even had the wood burning fireplace on so the temperature would be comfortable. Above and beyond! The kitchen is fully stocked as well. Was very clean and very comfortable. We were just 2 of us but can easily accommodate large groups without being cramped which is rare. It is well loved and taken care of. We saw so many deer coming to the windows in the mornings, such a treat!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Ted’s place. It was super cozy and the perfect home base for exploring the island! Our hosts were very responsive and proactive in their communication and had many great suggestions for things to see and do nearby. It’s definitely rustic, so if you’re looking for luxury this may not be the place for you. But we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a charming, comfortable stay in the country.
