Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Salamis Island

Could not recommend this place more. Old charm with modern amenities, very quiet neighbourhood and easily walkable to all major sites. Christos is extremely kind and greeted us the first day. A great person to converse with. Book this place for Athens.

I stayed with my wife and two daughters for 3 days, we felt comfortable as if we were in our own home. There is a market on Saturdays, we shopped there. Very close to the subway, within walking distance. If you want to be close to both the center of Athens and the beaches, this place is very successful in terms of location.

I stayed at Xanthi's place with my three girlfriends and we had a fantastic time there. The house is lovely and cozy, equipped with everything that we needed. It was very clean and comfortable, with spacious terrace and garden (with turtles in the backyard!). There were fans both in the house and outside, which allowed us to survive the high temperatures. Additionally, all windows and door have an anti mosquitoes net so we didn't have any bugs in the house. Xanthi's house is located walking distance from both ports - Skala and Megalochori. The nearest beach and supermarket are 5 minutes walking from the house. Xanthi is a lovely host- we felt very welcome and she was ready to reply to all our inquiries. She also let us check-in earlier which was much appreciated as we were tired after a long travel. After the check-out we were allowed to leave our luggage on the terrace, as we still had a couple of hours until our ferry was departing. Overally, this was a wonderful stay!

This is a unique place with a lot of history. The kitchen cute and spacious. The porch is the best part of the house. We saw sunrise and sunset. Beautiful. I love the view from the bedroom. The hospitality made our stay easy and fun. Panos helped us get drivers and gave us directions and restaurant reviews.

Yanni's place is fantastic - clean and welcoming and great for kids. In an excellent location. Yanni was a brilliant host, easy to get in touch with, very helpful and kind. Would really recommend staying here!

Great location with restaurants across the street. Great for groups who want to be under the same roof but also want to have their own space in different apartments. There are 3 apartment and each apartment is equipped with a bathroom which made getting ready easy for us 4 ladies. The top 1st floor apt ‘Harmonia’ is very modern, with two twin beds in one room and a Queen size in the other room, kitchen with a cute pink fridge and very modern bathroom. Then there’s the basement apartment ‘Erato’ with a twin sized bed in one room and a queens sized bed in the adjacent room. Living room with tv as well. This apartment has had a switch which you had to flip about 30 mins before taking a shower so you can heat the water, which was a little inconvenient but wasn’t such a deal breaker. The basement apartment’s shower is tricky, had to turn knobs and a contraption on the faucet you had to move up and down to make it go from faucet to shower. Then there’s the studio apt ‘Aegle’ which is small

First of all, a big thanks to Maria and Alexander for their warm welcome. Starvos provided clear instructions, although we unfortunately didn't get to meet him. The place was perfect—extra clean and felt just like home. The apartment was even better than in the pictures. The location is ideal for a restful stay. The nearby restaurants offer delicious seafood, and the staff is very friendly. We hope to return soon.

Very nice apartment with two bedrooms; basically with two terraces: from the top you have a view of the Acropolis; on the lower one you can have a very good breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. Air conditioners worked very well. We found a few samples in the fridge that we could use. A washing machine is also a plus. Small drawback: there is no exhaust in the bathroom - you can only open the window to the hallway. Location is perfect for exploring Athens. Restaurant recommendation To Trikyklo was great. Communication went smoothly. Check-in was super easy. A later check-out was even offered, which we gladly used. Well-stocked supermarket is just around the corner. Attention: if you are traveling with large suitcases, you will find the last part (wooden staircase) a bit narrow. Next time, we would only come with hand luggage. There is otherwise no reason to complain. We can recommend the accommodation and host without reservation. Thank you!

Aggeliki by far is the best host out of all the people I have rented from on Airbnb. She is very friendly, very helpful, always keen to help. Place was amazing and she is very responsive. She also like to recommend restaurants, places to visit, etc… I was also travelling to Naxos and she was already proactive with providing me with her favourite restaurants and beaches there. Her place is also very cosy, has a great atmosphere I believe that’s because it is their own house in which the rent every now and then. In short, great host that gives me even extra motivation to come to Athens!

This was a great place to stay for a handful of nights in Athens. There were many sights to see and great food within walking distance. It was also a great place to relax after an eventful day.

Such a beautiful Airbnb. Best part is the hot tub actually gets hot, not just lukewarm (which i’ve noticed a lot of other hot tubs in Greece are only lukewarm) so that was a plus. Very modern setup and the view was great. Unfortunately I was very sick during my stay, but Jeff and Katerina were so nice and responsive and even helped us get a taxi to the ER, and checked in on us throughout the day. Truly such great hospitality and we are so appreciative for all of the help that they provided for us. Any question we had they responded to us right away with such helpful advice. Thank you so much for everything ♥️♥️

Romanos 5th floor apartment in Athens worked well for our stay. It is a large studio apartment with beautiful windows on both sides, a large deck and an amazing view of the Acropolis. It is in an excellent area with great restaurants and close to everything. We felt very comfortable there. The bathroom really needs to be redone since the shower is in a jacuzzi tub that doesn’t have a flat bottom. We knew this when we booked because very accurate photos were included. We loved the rest of the apartment and appreciated the cancellation policy so we booked anyway. If the bathroom was redone with a normal shower, this apartment would be ideal for everyone. As it is, I would recommend anyone with mobility issues to choose something different. It worked fine for us. Romano responded quickly to our communications and was very helpful with recommendations. We loved Athens and had a great stay.

Beautiful views Very peaceful Kyriakos is very communicative and friendly. The house has tonnes of amenities (how often does your house have an elevator) Would highly recommend renting a car if you're not from the area. Tip for the other travellers: the property is on a very large beautiful tract off land with an automatic gate that can only be opened from the house or two remotes the host provides. Easy enough but something to keep in mind

The host treated us very well! Was always reachable, flexible with the checkin time, supported us with transportation during a taxi strike. She was very kind and gave us nice restaurant tips! The house was clean and included everything you need for a nice trip! Thanks a lot and until next time :-)

I don't even know where to start because our stay was so magical. Mariangela and Michael were two of the most incredible hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their local recommendations guided our entire stay, and learning all about the local history was fascinating and such an added bonus. We changed our reservations to stay another two nights because we loved it so much and felt so at peace and at home. Waking up to birds singing and having such a beautiful place to relax and swim was the highlight of our 15 days in Greece. I cannot recommend this home and the hosts enough--we were treated like family and welcomed with open arms. My mother and I were traveling together and are both Greek, and it meant the world to learn Greek phrases and local tips on our first visit to our home country. We will definitely be back and there is no question we will stay here again. Thank you for everything, we are so grateful!

Nikos’s place was once of the most beautiful locations that I’ve personally stayed at. He was very responsive and catered to our families needs throughout the trip. I can honestly say that both Nikos and his wife made our stay that much more special. I would recommend booking with Nikos 1000x over again. I have been using Airbnb for over 10 years now and I can honestly say that working with Nikos has been one of my best experiences to date. So much that my family is already thinking of the next time when we can return. If I could give 6 stars I would. Amazing host and amazing experience all around!

There were 13 of us as a family in the accommodation. Overall, everything was great and we were able to spend very nice days in the villa. The only points we noticed: - No key for the bathroom on the ground floor and upper floor. We also had guests there and with so many people it was unpleasant. The host himself only noticed this when we checked in. The last visitors were held responsible for many defects. But nothing that we found to be a shame was replaced or repaired. - Sometimes there were problems with the hot water for the shower after midnight. Even after trying for a long time, there was no warm water at night and we had to wait until the morning. This was not so optimal, as there were so many people and I wanted to get ready for my wedding in the evening. - We had 2 baby beds, but the mattress was missing for one and we did not get a replacement. Otherwise, everything was great and we would recommend the villa.

We had an amazing stay at John's place! John and his family are truly exceptional hosts—pleasant, helpful, and so welcoming. John's local recommendations were spot-on. The house is lovely—beautifully decorated with charming features and character. It is bright, spacious, tidy, and clean, with all the essentials provided to ensure a comfortable stay. The location is equally fantastic, offering convenient access to grocery shops, a pharmacy, and excellent local restaurants, all within easy reach. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
